This isn’t an antisemitism policy, it’s an antisemitism cover-up.

In what the media is hailing as some sort of stunning achievement, the Mamdani administration released an antisemitism policy. This booklet mostly consists of setting up various groups to hold meetings and some security funding for synagogues.
Of course security funding would be much less needed if Mamdani didn’t insist on allowing Muslim and Marxist hate rallies outside synagogues. That’s the equivalent of legalizing arson and then funding some smoke detectors.
Even though the vast majority of ideological attacks on Jews in New York City over the last 5 years have involved Muslims and Muslim terrorists, the report falsely claims that antisemitism is just a ‘right-wing problem.’
In 2017, White nationalists espousing the racist Great Replacement Theory infamously shouted “Jews will not replace us” in Charlottesville, Virginia. A shooter, who subscribed to the Great Replacement Theory, committed the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in American history at Tree of Life Synagogue in 2018. Another shooter, identifying with the “white genocide” conspiracy theory, committed a mass shooting at the Chabad of Poway in 2019, one month after trying to burn down a local mosque
Good work on getting a ‘mosque’ mention in there.
None of these events
1. Happened in New York City
2. Happened in this decade
Here’s some attacks on synagogues that did happen more recently in New York City
May 16, 2026 – An Iraqi national allegedly plotted to carry out terror attacks in the U.S., including at a Jewish institution in New York, federal prosecutors said Friday.
September 20, 2024 – Pakistani national living near Toronto, was planning a rifle assault timed for the anniversary of the 7 October Hamas attack against Israel, or the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
Also there’s the recent stabbing of a Jewish man by a man who owned a copy of a Koran and shouted “Allahu Ackbar”.
And the repeated mobbing of synagogues by Muslim and Marxist mobs… including the Park East Synagogue incident.
Instead of talking about recent attacks involving Islam, the Mamdani antisemitism policy references attacks from a decade ago outside New York City in order to pretend that the perpetrators who pose the biggest threat to Jews aren’t Mamdani’s base.
This isn’t an antisemitism policy, it’s an antisemitism cover-up.
