Reassessing the Iran-Russia and Iran-China Relationship

PELONI:  Rabbi Pesach Wolicki provides a close look at the current state of affairs between Iran and its closest allies, Russia and China in two important videos.  As a backdrop to his analysis, recall Alexander Gringberg’s insightful analysis from two years ago on this subject where he noted that Iran, Russia and China promote each of their national interests, and to the degree to which these overlap, they will pursue these joint interests, but that no one should be confused to believe that either Russi or China or Iran would risk their own national interests or security to aid the others.  They are partners, not allies.  To this point, the relationships have not changed, only the circumstances in which the overlapping interests extend.
