“Don’t abandon my child or anyone else’s child who went to protect the State of Israel.”

I would think that how the cabinet deals with this will be very important to their political futures.

In my view, every bldg that they want to investigate should first be blown up to detonate booby traps and kill those inside. I do not think it is necessary to risk the soldiers in those situation. after the blgs are flattened they can check them. Also the more destroyed blgs the better.

He did not say that Hamas will be destroyed.

I suspect that that scenario has problems for him.
I think if he destroyed hamas he would be pressured to install the PA which would hasten a unity gov and peace talks. As it is, if he can control the status quo, then the world will have to come up with something to deal with hamas and its demilitarization in order to feed the civilians. OR gazans could leave en masse due to economic and war situation. in this case they can no longer blame israel if hamas does not accept demilitarization and the peeps continue to suffer.
Perhaps the cabinet views limbo as better than a resolution, kind of like the limbo of the arab spring which is best if it continues as is, unresolved, with them all killing each other. Perhaps something similar can occur in gaza.

Thank you HB. I really consider the subject closed. We rested a bit over Saturday and will continue to do my work.
I just listened to Netanyahu and came out even more unsure. He did not say that Hamas will be destroyed. W/o that we wasted tragically many lives and one of our is a prisoner. And btw. Home Front Command alarms keep on sounding.

Thank you Now to important subjects.
Can anyone ascertain what really the fellowship is doing, and accomplished?
    Nothing clear at all.

I assume they expect abbas to try to take over gaza so why waste more lives for that outcome and why make his ascension smooth?
They accomplished the clearing of hamas on the west bank and the weakening of hamas in gaza. this helps abbas.
It looks like they are dumping gaza into the internationals laps and saying you deal with their problems, we will keep up the status quo.
they have tested the iron dome system in warfare and can expect many sales of the system. It appears to be cost ineffective as after a couple of weeks Israel has spent tens of millions on the missiles alone.
I am curious as to what gazans will do to hamas when they come out of their bunkers, if they come out?

    And honeybee defends him????

El Senor HaLevi was upset. A Caballero of his distinction usually does not use such language. What did you say?

  7. @ honeybee:

Its not directed at you! No one, least of all me, was making fun at your personal expense. I was making fun of the enemy. Who has all the IQ of a turnip.

  8. @ honeybee:

SHmuely said: “We must stop the ghastly Netanyahu and company engineered disaster to go any further. They MUST be ejected form office immediately.”

    And honeybee defends him????

Or is it his elegant use of English “Would you like to say that in person you piece of shit?” that you find so appealing?
    Or his bravado?

well that’s my burden to bear.

Despite your attitude of martyrdom. I have always noticed, when a person is accused of being sarcastic and cruel, he responds by saying the recipient of the joke is stupid to understand.

  10. @ honeybee:

Can’t you appreciate sarcasm? You take everything too literally! Of course, Hamas is evil! I have never said they aren’t. I did give as good as I got and if my defense of Israel is found wanting with you, well that’s my burden to bear.

  11. NormanF Said:

I have had the pleasure of dialoging with a Hamas spox on the JPost

What in Heaven’s Name are you thinking to post this indefensible statement. A pleasurable dialogue with Hamas ? You who are always denigrating Jews for being liberal lap dogs? You are the most disgusting creature ever hatched. I do not need to use obscenities with you, I only hold my nose and turn away from you.

  12. mickeyobe Said:

SHmuel HaLevi is obviously a Hamasnick in disguise.

    Really?
No less than “Netanyahu and company” – cowardice puts one in he trench/tunnel with the enemy and the refusal to win is cowardice.

  13. @ yamit82:

Go and criticize me for it! Israel’s government is the one that treats Hamas like an honorable combatant instead of as a gang of war criminals to be wiped out. I’ve not shed any one’s blood. I’m accused of being too harsh on the wimps and half-wits who run Israel’s government, that palaver with completely evil people and not only that, see after their needs during a war! If only Israel fought a real war, I would not be so livid. Did you see America EVER announce a truce with Al Qaeda? Then why does Israel feel compelled to be nice to Hamas – they do break every law of G-d and Man in the book?

  14. SHmuel HaLevi 2 Said:

Our children will be the direct victims for years to come.

    what an optimist…

    “years to come”

maybe a couple of years before Israel’s defenses are overwhelmed… one or two maybe 3

    “years to come”… lol

Your Bravado and arrogance is disgusting. If dialoging with a Hamas spox in the JPost is the best you can do then you have something to worry about.

I have more respect for Hamas fighters than for big mouth chicken shit warriors like you who criticize and revel over the blood and sacrifices of real fighters and warriors.

Hamas leader says IDF soldier kidnapped before truce

Hamas’s Moussa Abu Marzouk says Hamas captured an Israeli soldier. He tells the Turkish Anadolu news agency that the kidnapping took place shortly before the since-collapsed truce went into effect.

Israel says the incident in which the soldier was kidnapped occurred at about 9.30, more than an hour into the supposed truce.

  17. @ yamit82:
Please all of you, please. I plead! Please!
We must stop the ghastly Netanyahu and company engineered disaster to go any further. They MUST be ejected form office immediately. No one knows what is true anymore so I assume that the enemy took prisoner one of ours.
Even if by miracle other soldiers correct that, the imminent danger remain while those cowards, imbeciles, sold out garbage remain in government. Our children will be the direct victims for years to come.

  18. Israel should seal Gaza hermetically nothing in or out until Soldier returned. Means no humanitarian aid, no electricity, no medical supplies, no nothing.

Shifa Hospital should be bombed with Bunker busters.

  19. IDF fears soldier kidnapped, in Gaza attack that took place during brief truce

    13:37
IDF concerned soldier kidnapped in Rafah

The IDF fears an Israeli soldier may have been kidnapped around 9:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Rafah.

This occurred when gunmen opened fire on IDF troops in the southern Gaza Strip city. The IDF suspects terrorists kidnapped a soldier, and is conducting extensive searches and efforts to resolve the situation.

The IDF has constantly warned of the dangers of Hamas attempts to kidnap soldiers, and has thwarted several such efforts in the last few days.

    13:41
Kidnapping would be Hamas’s ‘biggest achievement’

If confirmed, Channel 2 notes that this kidnapping would be Hamas’s “biggest achievement” in the war to date. The station stresses that the kidnapping attempt was carried out during the humanitarian truce, which took effect at 8 a.m.

    13:48
Hamas claims capture of IDF soldier

Hamas’s military wing claims it has captured an Israeli soldier, shortly after the IDF confirms in a statement that “initial indication suggests that an IDF soldier has been abducted by terrorists” during an attack around 9:30 a.m.

Former National Security Adviser Giora Eiland says this means “an escalation” in the Rafah area of the Strip where the kidnapping took place, as the IDF hunts for the soldier, but may also mark an escalation of the entire conflict

  20. I have had the pleasure of dialoging with a Hamas spox on the JPost.

Let me just note if he’s the best they have to offer, Israel has nothing much to worry about from them.

  21. The cartoon has it WRONG. Perhaps the cartoon is being facetious, but it is dangerous in its possible misinterpretations.

Kerry is NOT asking can you at least meet him half way. He is DEMANDING Israel to unconditionally surrender. The Hamas representative should be shown holding the Arab child, dressed in military garb and held by the throat.

We do not even know the full content of this latest demand for surrender, oops ceasefire for Israel. We do not that this ceasefire is only the first run of the next demands that will serve to force to lie down and bare its throat to the Hamas sword.

Hamas gets Everything they want and the time to increase their capacity to mass murder Israeli kindergarden children, everyone. To get the airport (Israel is to pay for this) for the attack aircraft just purchased by Qatar from the US to be flown in. To get the seaport and removal of all Israeli checking of ships carrying massive weapons and missiles to Gaza. To get ALL checkpoints removed between Israel and Gaza, and Egypt and Gaza. Where is the meet halfway come into play. AND it is NOT Kerry . He answers to his boss only.

And, FINALLY AND ONCE AND FOR ALL, we must stop playing the word game. It is NOT Kerry, it is his boss.

  22. Macabre but funny.

    Meanwhile at the farm…
A friend called me from near Gaza and let me listen to the “cease fire” going on. Excellent one…
Go Netanyahu, go, yu’r da best! Who could possibly replace such grand fellow… Who? I ask you.
CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!!! Attaboy
