A twofer for Congressman Joe Walsh

By Ted Belman

I promoted the idea that Jordan is Palestine six months ago and one of my articles was noticed by Congressman Joe Walsh. Subsequently he wrote an artilce which was published by Washington Times entitled Myth of the Two -state solution. In it he totally supported what I had written in my articles.

If that wasn’t enough, I recently wrote the US agrees, settlements are “not illegal” in which I promoted the Levy Report. This article was published by American Thinker. In it, I wrote, “Congress will no doubt strongly endorse the Report with or without a decision of the Supreme Court of Israel.”

Now we read in Israel Hayom, US Congressman Walsh spearheads initiative to recognize Levy report.

To be fair, this article goes on to report:

During a conference in Washington last week, MK Danny Danon (Likud) presented Levy’s report to a group of some congressmen.

Danon said at the conference, “With U.S. support [of the Levy report], we will be able to apply Israeli sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and resolve the legal obstacles that stand in the way of extensive construction and development of the settlement enterprise.”

Danon added that “the Levy report emphasizes, to the people of Israel and to the entire world, the right of the State of Israel over Judea and Samaria.”

Kol HaCavot to MK Danon.

  1. Video: ‘Tel Aviv is Cool but Jerusalem is the Capital’
Tel Aviv’s mayor has dropped the rivalry with Jerusalem to remind Britain the holy city is Israel’s capital – no matter what the BBC says.

US Jews Go to Bat for Israel in World Baseball Classic

American Jewish baseball players are going to bat for Israel and will play for “Team Israel” in the World Baseball Classic this summer.

Israel would not even get to first base if it has to rely on Israelis, but American Jewish players like Shawn Green and Gave Kapler are stepping up to home plate for Israel.

  2. @ Nigel Shaw:
I get the distinction. I heard Caroline Glick speak at the Hebron conference, not Danon. I think I was assuming they were on the same page. I will listen more carefully

  3. @ David Chase:Listen to his words David. Danon talks about extending Jewish sovereignty over Jewish communities. He doesn’t even say over ALL Jewish communities. There are still people in Likud, possibly including him, who see the security barrier as a precursor of a border with a future “Palestinian” state. Beware of creeps baring gifts! Why do you think Caroline is insisting on total annexation of Judea and Samaria? It is precisely because only by doing this, and as soon as possible, will any such double dealing be avoided. Don’t be naive, and don’t fall for any of this “gradualist” claptrap. The only safe border is the Jordan River.

  4. I do not trust anyone, only G-d. I am also especially wary of politicians, even when they don “nationalist” clothing.
At the recent post-Oslo furum in the US, Danon repeatedly advocated extending Israeli sovereignty over Jewish settlements. this suggested to me that this could be code for – disengagement, leaving a deadly thorn in our side.
Caroline Glick on the other hand, at the same forum, insisted that we should annexe ALL of Judea and Samaria now. With regard to the outcry from the “international community”, Israel might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb.
The demographic arguement holds no water, as even before the predicted emigration of Arabs unwilling to live peacefully in the Jewish state, Jews will still outnumber Arabs by 2:1.
For those who wish to dispute the Levy report that confirms that under international law the land in question belongs to the Jews, I suggest they look at the Torah, where G-d promised this land to the Jewish people. If they have any arguement with that, they had better take it up with the Alm-ghty Himself!

  5. @ David Chase:
The Torah teaches us that Judea and Samaria were part of the Promised Land, and Israel should never give them up. Jews can no longer visit sites that are important to our heritage like the Machpela Caves, which are now under Palestinian control. What a great shame. The “Palestinians” are a fiction since there never was a Palestine.

  6. Persistance pays. Now with the Levy report and Israel’s legal rights clearly delineated and out in the public discourse I hear less talk from Israeli officials about “security” needs. Once this shift is complete, I believe they’ll be no turning back. Thank you MK Danon. You are proving like I’ve heard you say: “We will prevail”
