Resarching another topic, I accidentally came across an article by a young man attempting to be an honest broker on the Hamas-Israel war.
Compared to too many other writers these days, I appreciated Aaron Yarmouth’s attempt to draw moral equivalency between a 9-15 mile wide resurrected ancestral nation of the Jewish people and that group of Arabs who only in very recent history renamed themselves “Palestinians”…

Appreciated, but of course, disagreed.
Among other things, he states that Israel evolved from being David to Goliath, the ruthless big bully over poor innocent Arab victims; ergo, Jews have become the new Nazis and Gaza Arabs the new Jews imprisoned in the new Israeli created Warsaw Ghetto. Bob Dylan had something to say about the bully charge leveled against the Jew of the Nations:

Aaron’s analogy suffers terribly, however.
Nazis sought out anyone with just a small fraction of Jewish heredity for extermination. They waged a war of mass extermination aiming to slaughter Jews everywhere.
If one has followed what’s transpired since Hamas—whose charter and repeated actions are pledged to eradicate the entire nation of Israel and all Jews everywhere, it’s clear who the new genocidal Nazis actually are. And HUNDREDS of just “ordinary” Arabs joined Hamas on Simchat Torah October 7th 2023 for the atrocities.
They took photos and posted their exploits on the internet: microwaving and beheading infants; gang raping and mutilating females of all ages; tying families together and burning them alive; and so forth. Not to mention nearly three hundred captives taken into their rat hole tunnels to be used as sex slaves and such.
The equivalent of 39,000 American civilians were gruesomely slaughtered that day—DELIBERATELY…some 1,300 souls.
In contrast, Israel has grossly endangered its own 19-25 old soldiers by purposely telegraphing its punch to avoid any harm to its existential enemies’s civilians…No other nation at war has ever done anything like this.
Israel dropped millions of leaflets, made countless celll phone calls, prepared safe passage escape routes, provided millions of pounds of food and other necessities, and so forth. It’s not Israel’s fault that Hamas has hijacked most of the trucks.
These are not actions of an army seeking to commit genocide.
Israel did not ask to be wantonly violated and attacked by Arabs raised from diapers through adulthood to hate “kilab yahud” Jew dogs, one half of whom in Israel are from Mizrahi and Sefardi Jewish refugee families who fled the so-called “Arab/Muslim” world…the other side of the refugee problem no one ever even mentions, let alone cares about.

As has been by necessity repeated often, Arab civilians who die have no one to blame but the very people they freely elected to power 20 years ago, and many have aided and abetted their atrocities in many assorted ways. Tunnel entrances and arms caches have been found in practically all civilian buildings, and the latter have also played “host” to some of the hostages.
As Aaron himself acknowledged, I believe, Arabs from Gaza routinely commit atrocities and then run back to embed and hide amid their own women and children, often firing rockets, mortars, and such from the area of schools, mosques, playgrounds, hospitals, and so forth.
He’s got things backwards…
It’s not Israel which needs to be dragged before the ICC or ICJ as he suggests, but those committing at least a double war crime according to the Geneva Conventions on War…Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and, once again, those “ordinary” Arabs who not only also joined in the butchery, but passed out candy when the bodies of dead, gang raped women and men were paraded through Gaza streets.
