Avi Abelow: How Israel’s Deep State Puts Us All in Danger

Peloni:  Avi discusses the inexplicable judiciary which protects terrorists and simultaneously abuses Israeli citizens and obstructs the Israeli political system.  The explanation for this is the inculcated allegience between the elmements and leadership of the judiciary to a progressive ideological agenda which weaponizes legal norms to infringe upon Isreali sovereignty and advance a globalist model.

TOTAL VICTORY IN GAZA IS FINALLY WITHIN REACH

Do not get demoralized by the headlines or by talk of another horrendous “ceasefire” deal.

Last night, something remarkable happened. In a rare moment of clarity, Prime Minister Netanyahu finally said out loud to the IDF Chief of Staff what many of us have known and warned about for months: the senior command of the IDF and security establishment are not following government policy, and they are actively obstructing total victory in Gaza.

For far too long, deep state actors within the senior military echelon have undermined Israel’s ability to win this war. These unelected bureaucrats in uniform have hijacked our security agenda, working not to defeat Hamas, but to preserve a failed status quo under the false banner of “humanitarianism” and “international law.”

During a closed security meeting last night, as reported by Channel 12 journalist Amit Segal, Netanyahu threw out the IDF and Defense Ministry’s latest plan for a so-called “humanitarian tent city” in Gaza.

Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly told them plainly: “I understand this is your way to prevent the policy from happening, but I’m determined to make sure it does.”

The elected government’s policy is crystal clear: defeat Hamas, separate terrorists from non-combatants, and stop feeding our enemy through misguided “humanitarian aid.” But the security establishment, especially at the top of the IDF and legal establishment, continues to act as if they have veto power over the Cabinet. They drag their feet, stall plans, and offer “alternatives” that are so bloated and unworkable, they’re clearly designed to fail.

The original plan the IDF Chief of Staff and security establishment presented to Netanyahu and the cabinet would take at least five months and cost tens of billions of shekels, and last night they doubled the estimate, now saying it would take over a year to build., and that it would take months to relocate a tenth of the population.

Netanyahu told them he understands that these plans are their way of ensuring that the real policy, the Cabinet’s policy, never happens. But he’s not letting them get away with it anymore. He ordered them back to the drawing board to deliver a real solution.

Netanyahu then demanded a new plan, leaner, faster, cheaper, and actually doable. Why? Because the political leadership — including Netanyahu, Smotrich, and the majority of the current coalition, has been clear: we must separate non-combatants from terrorists, and stop allowing humanitarian aid to flow into the hands of Hamas. That is the way to have total victory over Hamas and end the war.

This is what leadership looks like.

Contrast that with the generals and officials who continue to warn, not about the dangers of Hamas if they are not totally defeated/removed, but about the supposed “vacuum” that would emerge if Hamas is gone. Think about that for a moment: these are people who would rather Hamas terrorists survive, rather allow it to stay in power in some form, than face the implications of a true, sovereign Israeli victory in Gaza. Why? Because deep down, they fear the responsibility and clarity that comes with real victory more than they fear another October 7th. They fear the implications of the IDF taking over security control over all of Gaza, more than eliminating the risk of any terror, ever again, from Gaza.

It’s the same twisted thinking that gave us Oslo, the Gaza disengagement/expulsion, and years of “mowing the lawn” while our enemies got stronger and planned for our ulitamate destruction.

    But this time is different.

This time we finally have a government that isn’t afraid to challenge the defense establishment. Ministers like Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir have made it clear: we will not tolerate a return to failed policies. And in response, Netanyahu has now drawn his own red line: the IDF will implement our directives.

This is how you restore deterrence. This is how you win a war.

But what’s been happening instead? UN Aid trucks roll in daily, most of it seized by Hamas. And while our soldiers fight heroically on a tactical level, strategically, their hands are tied by the deep state officials in the legal and security establishment, not from the Knesset or the Cabinet.

Let’s be honest: this isn’t incompetence, it’s sabotage. These deep state unelected officials in the security and legal establishment override policy with their own worldview, one shaped by years of appeasement, deference to international pressure, and UN-style morality that gets Israelis killed.

Netanyahu has been dealing with this deep state sabotaging his security policies for years.

One glaring example took place during the Obama administration, when Netanyahu pushed for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, that he had to do behind Obama’s back.

Senior Israeli defense and intelligence officials, instead of executing the plan, leaked it to the Obama administration, who immediately threatened Netanyahu. Think about that: Israel’s own security brass sabotaged an Israeli operation meant to stop a genocidal regime from going nuclear, simply because it didn’t align with their worldview.

And this isn’t something unique to Israel.

We’ve seen this exact playbook before in the United States as well.

When President Trump announced his intention to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem in his first term, the deep state within the US State Department sprang into action to block it. They presented the President with a plan that would have cost billions of dollars and taken years to implement, classic bureaucratic sabotage disguised as “process.”

But Trump didn’t fall for it. Instead, then-U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman offered a simple, practical alternative: upgrade an existing consulate building. The move was completed in months, at a fraction of the cost. And the Embassy was moved!

That’s how you beat the deep state, by refusing to play their game.

And now, the second Trump administration, under Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has begun cleaning house, firing 1,350 State Department employees who Rubio fears can sabotage Trump administration foreign policy.

That’s exactly the model Israel must adopt. Netanyahu should pay close attention: if we truly want to win, we must replace the officials in the defense and legal establishments who repeatedly undermine government policy, just as Trump is doing in Washington. Netanyahu has begun this process, but Israel’s laws make it far more difficult to hire and fire entrenched state employees. On top of that, deep state operatives in the legal system are actively trying to block these efforts, as we’ve seen in the battle to replace both the head of Intelligence and the Attorney General. Progress is being made, but it’s moving far slower than what is possible in the US government.

Returning to the Gaza war strategy, Smotrich threatened that he might leave the government if the IDF continues to undermine the government directives. And yesterday, Netanyahu’s response to Smotrich says it all, not with empty words, but with a real shift in focus: “Up until now I was focused on Iran. Now I will ensure that the IDF implements our directives in Gaza.”

This is our reality, for years. Too many people do not understand that this is the challenge Netanyahu has been dealing with as Prime Minister for decades.

Last night’s meeting is a turning point, or at least it must be.

Netanyahu must reassert civilian control over our military. If deep state actors can stall the war effort, protect Hamas under the guise of “human rights,” and ignore the will of the elected government, aka the will of the people, then we are not a sovereign nation at war, we are a hostage to the deep state unelected officials in the security and legal establishment.

We need a military that fights to win, not to appease. A military that pushes forward and needs to be stopped by the government, not the other way around.

Victory in Gaza is happening, not because of the senior command, but despite them. But total victory has been delayed because of them, and that must end.

Our proud, brave, and holy IDF soldiers have been fighting with extraordinary courage for nearly two years. Of course they want to end the war and long to return to normal life, but not before we achieve total victory, and the threat from Gaza is eliminated once and for all.

Make no mistake: Israel is winning this war. Not just on the battlefield, where our brave soldiers have dismantled Hamas’s military infrastructure city by city, but politically and strategically, where the elected government is finally asserting its authority over an entrenched security and legal elite that have long preferred managed defeat to decisive victory.

Regardless if another “ceasefire” happens or not that is meant to try to save as many of our remaining hostages in Gaza as possible, the implementation of this plan means that total victory is within reach. The war is not over until we have total victory.

Yes, it is taking longer than we want, but it is happening.

We are on the way to making Gaza Jewish Again, the only way to have peace and security with Gaza.

Strengthen your faith in Hashem. And do your part in sharing these hardly discussed truths.

    Am Yisrael Chai!!!
