Belman’s Plan. If only.

In 2013 Greece had a population of 11 million, and their government Debt to GDP is 175%, the highest in the EU. Their GDP in 2013 was $275 billion and thus their Debt was $380 Billion.

It must be much worse today. The E&U is prepared to lend them the needed money but the Greeks are not prepared to accept the hardship that goes with the loan.\

I have a suggestion. Israel should arrange to borrow $100 billion dollars on a fixed interest basis and offer to give the money to them in exchange for accepting 2 million Palestinian immigrants below the age of 40.

If they go for the deal, Israel would ferry them to Greece at no extra cost.

Then Israel would be free to annex both Gaza and J&S.

Sounds like a plan

On a smaller scale, Greece needs $100 million right away to avoid bankruptcy. Israel could agree to give them the money for taking in an agreed number of Palestinians. Maybe Greece would like that better.

  2. I did not present this “plan” believing it would be accepted. I just wanted to make the point that a nation in desperate need of money might prefer such a deal to the refinancing deal they are being offered if any.

  3. Ted, this CA guy hasn’t got a clue as to what would make me happy. He loves to jump on me just because I am a Torah Jew with Jewish pride. He would rather see Israel have no Jewish identity.

    I am having coffee with one of my Reform friends this weekend. Their not all bad. I’m glad I can discern.

    Ted< I think your plan wouldn't cause enough pain and suffering to Israel to be accepted.

    But it would cause enough pain to Liberal Jews, like George Soros, and J-Street to make you happy.

  6. There is NO country that will accept Palestinians without major funding to the extent of $50,000 each (your estimate) to $100,000 each (my estimate). I suspect the higher number will be required.

    Total cost $200 Billion.

    Nor can all the Palestinians be dumped in one country. They have to be spread out and diluted.

    At $100,000 per person, less for kids under 14.

    Send 20,000 to Ireland. Muslims in a country which is half tanked a good part of the day will be persuaded to assimilate over a pint of ale.

    100,000 to Chile ($10 Billion) would be good. Chile already has 500,000 citizens of Palestinian extraction. Almost all Christian and quite prosperous, but they love their Muslim brothers, and hate Israel.

    Russia is hurting for cash. One of only 2 nations more drunk that the Irish, the other being Poland.

    Send 50,000 to Russia for $5 Billion.

    Argentina is ever in need of cash.

    150,000 for $15 Billion. Argentina is already 10 percent Arab. Again, mostly Christian, but they love their Muslim brothers.

    Venezuela is hurting for cash, and is 6% Arabic – again, almost all Christian. Venezuela claims to have a quarter million Muslims, which is a gross exaggeration. Actually closer to 16,000.

    But they have the right attitude. Since they want a quarter million Muslims, oblige them Send them 250,000 Muslims for $25 Billion.

    Poland has enough sense to say no to any Muslims. They say no to gay rights. Muslims would not be welcome.

    Uruguay allows in anyone who can show a $6,000 a year income. They could take in 30,000 for $3 billion. Uruguay is small, and could not take more than 30,000.

    Brazil is another place.

    Greece will never accept them.

    Greeks lived in Turkey and early in the 20th Century after WWI they exchanged populations. They hate Muslims.

    After being under Turks, Greeks will NEVER accept Muslims. The Muslims used to kidnap their sons for military duty: The Janissarries.

    The idea of finding someplace that needs money and Palestinians privately would like to go to is very good!

    I think I know a place that always needs money, and would accept Arabs.

  9. Ted, I like out of the box thinking. This would be a noisy deal which would be objected to all over the place by Palestinians and yes Greeks who may not want to change their country into a heavily Muslim Country.

    Greeks lived in Turkey and early in the 20th Century after WWI they exchanged populations. They hate Muslims.

    The idea of finding someplace that needs money and Palestinians privately would like to go to is very good! Need to set up the mechanism and NGO with the governments approval. Then it should start working quietly with as little fanfare as possible (unlike the building process) to empty villages in Area C and East Jerusalem (Arab Areas).
