The Film They Don’t Want You to See. Help Finish It.
Film Director-Igal Hecht
Film Producer-Geoffrey Clarfield

WATCH OUR DEMO:
For more than two years, broadcasters in Canada and across the West have distorted the Middle East conflict, defamed Israel, and normalized modern blood libels under the cover of “journalism.” Falsehoods are repeated until they harden into accepted truth, while inconvenient facts are buried or dismissed. Beyond the River is a film and documentary series that was created to shatter that manufactured reality and expose the historical fraud surrounding what actually happened, and is still happening, between the river and the sea. If this documentary were safe, it would already be on television; it isn’t, because truth has become professionally and politically dangerous.
Featuring over thirty world-renowned historians, politicians, and journalists, many of whom have been leading voices for the past fifty years and were directly involved in decisions that shaped the modern Middle East, this film brings firsthand authority, not activist mythology. If 1,000 people give $65 or more, we will reach our goal and release the film and series this fall.
Please help us bring this project to the finish line. Donate, share, and help force the truth about Israel and its history into the open.
Please view our demo to better understand the project’s themes, the breadth of the work, and some of the voices interviewed.
THE MEDIA LIED. HISTORY WAS ERASED. THIS FILM FIGHTS BACK.
Through primary documents, diplomatic correspondence, rare maps, archival footage, and firsthand testimony, Beyond the River traces how borders were drawn, narratives manufactured, and identities reshaped following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the British Mandate, and the early Arab–Israeli wars.
The series exposes how Jordan became the “forgotten solution,” while Israel was cast as the perpetual obstacle to peace. This is not about denying suffering; it is about understanding why every proposed solution has failed and why ignoring historical reality guarantees continued bloodshed.
Unmatched Voices
To date, more than thirty world-renowned historians, journalists, diplomats, and political figures have been interviewed across four countries. These are individuals whose research, reporting, and decision-making have shaped global understanding of the conflict for decades.
They bring disagreement, nuance, and authority, grounding the series in history rather than propaganda, and in evidence rather than emotion.
Filmed across Israel, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom, Beyond the River combines on-location interviews with never-before-seen archival material, rare historical documents, and cinematic visuals designed to endure. This is a comprehensive historical reconstruction created not only to inform, but to challenge and reframe a conversation that has been distorted for generations.
Why This Film Needs Your Support
Beyond the River is not a concept. It is already filmed, researched, and well underway. What stands between this documentary and the world is not access or ideas, it is funding.
Your donation directly supports post-production, archival licensing, legal clearance, minor additional filming and global distribution, ensuring this history is presented with the credibility, depth, and reach it deserves.
Our goal is $65,000, which will allow us to finish and release the film at a professional, international standard.
Funding will cover final editing, color grading, sound mixing, narration, and original score; licensing of rare archival footage, maps, and primary documents; full legal and historical review; and distribution costs including subtitles, festival submissions, and digital and educational platform delivery.
This Project is Completely Independent
Every dollar raised goes directly into completing and releasing Beyond the River. This project is independently produced because, in today’s antisemitic and openly anti-Israel climate within much of the public broadcasting and documentary world, few are willing to support a historically rigorous film that challenges decades of misinformation.
For more than twenty years, false narratives and manufactured propaganda have shaped public perception, fueling blood libels and the systematic defamation of Israel. Beyond the River exists precisely because telling the truth has become professionally and politically risky, and therefore necessary.
The Filmmakers
Beyond the River is helmed by renowned director and producer Igal Hecht, whose previous film The Killing Roads examined the horrific terrorist attacks of October 7. The film was released to wide audiences, viewed by millions, and received significant critical acclaim.
The series is produced by respected journalist and author Geoffrey Clarfield, who has written extensively on the subject for publications including The National Post and New English Review, among others.
Together, this team is committed to taking viewers beyond what they think they know about the history between the river and the sea, exposing long-standing falsehoods and replacing them with documented historical truth.
