    From Ian:

Head-Scratching Questions about Jews and Israel
Writing a weekly column isn’t for the faint of heart or the perpetually bored. Sometimes, I tire of attempting to write heartfelt words and reflections week after week. Therefore, I’ve devoted this week’s column to asking readers 25 head-scratching questions about Jews, Israel and that harmoniously peaceful corner of the world known as the Middle East:

    1. If Jews control the media, why does the media generally depict Israel in such a harsh and even untruthful manner, and in the same vein, if Jews control the world, why isn’t the world more sympathetic toward Jews?

    2. If Jews are white, why do the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist groups chant “White Power” while demanding their demise, and if Jews aren’t white, why are they excluded from progressive groups that vow to protect non-whites?

    3. Why do Jew-haters get to keep their jobs, but those who espouse prejudiced views toward other groups are canceled? Case in point: Why has it taken more than two weeks for Adidas to drop Kanye West? (Thanks to Balenciaga, though).

    4. Given that the regime in Iran is currently butchering protestors, including young girls, why have Iranian diplomats still not been expelled from any Western countries, with the exception of one (see below)?

    5. Why did Iran conduct a major cyberattack against Albanian government websites (yes, Albania) last month, resulting in the expulsion of diplomats from the Iranian embassy (and can the rest of Europe take a cue from Albania)?

    6. Why did the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) just ask the Supreme Court to overturn Arkansas’ anti-boycott (BDS) law against Israel, citing concern for Palestinians’ rights, but the organization hasn’t uttered a single word about Iranians dying to protect the civil liberties of their fellow citizens?

  2. From Dr. McCullough:

“I was terminated as the Editor-In-Chief of Cardiorenal Medicine and Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine after years of service and rising impact factors. There was no phone call, no board meeting, no due process. Just e-mails or certified letters. Powerful dark forces are working in academic medicine to expunge any resistance to the vax.

Yesterday I was stripped of my board certifications in Internal Medicine and Cardiology after decades of perfect clinical performance, board scores, and hundreds of peer reviewed publications.

None of this will stop until there is a “needle in every arm.”

  3. When Gideon Sa’ar’s party in the last election hired the scandalous Lincoln Project – whose founder was a noted pedophile – to help them win the election, I don’t understand how people can continue to vote for him or how he isn’t too embarrassed to run. Just a safta putting her two cents in….

  4. @Peloni Aah. I did not read there was a delay. Where did you read that? In any case, if that’s so, your “cynicism” is not “cynicism” but an astute observation very much in line wiith the attempts at emotional manipulation we’ve seen directed at Israelis by Zelensky up until now.

severing diplomatic relations with Iran is a no-brainer. Any country would do the same

This bit with the Iranian drones has been public knowledge for some weeks now, if not longer, and they were noted to be the cause of the destruction of the HIMARs weeks ago. Yet it is only now that they sever ties with Iran, just as they also make a formal request from Israel? Hence, my point was not regarding the severing of ties, but the coordinated timing with the official request for air defenses. Hopefully, my suspicions will prove unfounded as Israel should not share so much as a bow and arrow with Ukraine.

  6. @Peloni It was exactly the same situation. Israel sold drones to Azerbaijan during the last war (and was right to do so, Armenia is a strategic ally of Iran with no ability to retaliate.

  7. @Peloni Iran is giving military aid to Russian forces in Ukraine; severing diplomatic relations with Iran is a no-brainer. Any country would do the same and has. Armenia newly initiated severed diplomatic relations with Israel after Israel helped Azerbaijan with drones. Russia threatens to do the same with Israel if Israel gives military aid to Ukraine.

  8. The Chinese government was scheduled to release its third-quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report on Tuesday, but the publication was suddenly delayed indefinitely on Monday, without a formal announcement or explanation.

“In 2019-20, two-way goods and services trade amounted to approximately $1.3 billion, of which Australian exports were worth $345 million and imports from Israel $1.02 billion. In 2019, Australian investment in Israel totalled $1.2 billion and Israeli investment in Australia was $342 million, mostly centred in the innovation sector. Major merchandise exports to Israel are live animals followed by plastic products, pearls and gems, beef, and aluminium. As at February 2021, 20 Israeli companies were listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), making Israel the third largest source of foreign company listings.”

  10. Novavax. Never heard of it. Sounds yummy. Does that mean they reward you with a bagel and a schmear and lox after the way Krispy Kreme was giving away free donuts at one point in NY?

  11. A QUESTION-

Since I had the Novavax, I am now on a register. Got a notification to have a flu vaccine. Never had one. Can’t recall when I had flu but looong ago.

Want to resume Friday night Kiddush meals with grend-kids. Windows open and fans going for Omicron. maybe wearing a mask.

Do you guys get flu shots???–

  12. @Peloni Please reread my posts and get back to me. Citing the attached article, quite lengthy, she was interviewed on her positions and she did some detailed answers I commented on.

What kind of Jewish name is Muhktar?

Good question. I have looked into her history and found that her father’s name is reported to be Yitzhak Menor and he is also reported to be a either a millionaire or billionaire, which Muhktar disputes this claim stating that he is . Of course Muktar disputes this claim. Additionally, she owns an apartment worth ~$250K USD while campaigning on the younger generation being unable to afford rent. She responds that the apartment was a gift from her non-millionaire(billionaire) CEO father, claiming that he bought it with his pension money. She is also reported to have recently been a Yesh Atid activist, having been photographed in a Yesh Atid meeting. Muhktar’s response to this was that Yesh Atid disappointed their followers. Of course in the article you shared, she claims to have worked with all parties in the past, but at 20yrs old, this claim seems rather dubious. Her very recent association with Yesh Atid is quite concerning, IMO. She refuses to discuss how she would vote on any other topic than economic issues, and on that all she says is that she wants the cost of living to come down, while refusing to explain how she would implement such an outcome. During an interview, she was pressed on this question of how she would achieve her goal of lowering the cost of living and she stormed out of the interview, later appearing in tears on TikToc sharing her complaints.

Also, her father’s surname sounds Spanish, and Muhktar is known to favor “trash Spanish songs”, whatever that is, so likely her heritage is Spanish, though I haven’t been able to confirm this.

  14. She is scheduled to do her milutary service in January but she says it could ge postphoned as they are going to give her a highly classified and specialized computer job, she’s another computer genius like Shaked. That’s another thing they have in common. What kind of Jewish name is Muhktar?. I wonder what her background is.

  15. I wonder if she could pull people from the left. She’s too young to serve as MK but not to be a minister which is her plan. She’s 20 and has a degree in computer science like Shaked which she completed in 2 1/2 years.

  16. Interesting. I can see why she sees Shaked as her competition.

What is your opinion on religion and state, public transportation on Shabbat, annexation of territories or legalization?

“We are in favor of legalization, but a referendum should be held on it. And as for everything else, I am in favor of holding a referendum on everything. Either at the municipal level or at the national level. Why should the corrupt politicians in the Knesset decide for us?”

    ibid

  17. Have to say I’ve been wondering if the elephant in the room nobody is talking about that makes these polls make no apparent sense precisely the issues she is raising: cost of living and housing.

  18. Honeybee, the border-crossers are mostly not cute “Tacos”, as you probably know. 70% of them, I am told, are military-age men; and a goodly percentage are Muslims.

Democrats are calling in the cavalry, sort of.

With the Oregon gubernatorial race now tilted red, Brain-Dead Biden is going to try to fix things.

Belying many wild rumors about his whereabouts after returning home after the SCO summit in Samarkand, Chinese President Xi Jinping was seen at the Great Hall of People on Friday evening.

The next morning Xi Jinping was leading the Martyrs’ Day grand and impressive ceremony in Beijing. Top officials and the military brass accompanied him. The Martyrs’ Day celebration was a splendid spectacle of serenity, discipline, and dedication befitting a respectful event.

The Communist Party of China is preparing for this month’s National Congress, which will decide on the unprecedented third term of President Xi.

The gala’s twin functions coming days ahead of the National Congress could also be a show of solidarity as the entire top Chinese leadership was seen on the occasions.

Many former members of the Politburo, the Communist Party’s 25-strong decision-making body, also attended the Great Hall of the People function. However, the retired members were not to be seen among the gathering
