US, UN Call for Gaza Ceasefire as Ground Offensive Looms
John Kerry calls for de-escalation that still protects Israel, Ban Ki-Moon demands ceasefire out of concern over ‘many Palestinian deaths.’

As the IDF on Thursday afternoon warned 100,000 Gaza residents to leave the security border, possibly indicating an imminent ground offensive, both the United Nations and the United States have called for a ceasefire. (G-D FORBID! FG)
US Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday while in China said both sides had reached a “dangerous moment,” and that he has urged a ceasefire, reports AFP.
Kerry said he had spoken with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas “to see whether or not there’s some capacity to be able to restore the status quo ante with respect to a ceasefire.”
“We’re already engaged in trying to see if it is possible to bring an end to the violence and find a different way forward,” said Kerry. “No country can accept rocket fire aimed at civilians and we support completely Israel’s right to defend itself against these vicious attacks.”
Kerry concluded “de-escalation ultimately is in the interests of all parties,(Wrong- It’s in the INTEREST OF THE HAMAS-GAZA TERRORISTS- in order to give themselves MORE TIME TO RE-ARM WITH BETTER AND MORE SOFISTICATE MISSILES- procured from Iran and other Islamic Entities- UNTILL THE NEXT ROUND OF MISSILE BOMBARDMENT ON ISRAEL! FG).
He argued that Israel must try “to de-escalate in the way that accomplishes all of those goals of protecting Israel, while at the same time not seeing’ innocent people’ drawn into the line of fire.” (There are NO innocent ‘People in Gaza- They are ALL Complicit in the Evil Act of their ELECTED HAMAS GOV’T!)

It must be emphasized that Hamas has openly called for Gaza residents to serve as human shields, continuing its policy of placing civilians on the roofs of targeted terrorists’ homes which the IDF has exposed through video and photographic evidence.
Interestingly, Hamas blamed Kerry for the IDF operation, saying he allowed Israel “to kill at will” in Gaza when he said earlier this week that “Israel had a right to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks.”
UN “’concerned’ about Palestinian deaths”
Also calling for a ceasefire on Thursday was UN Secretary of General Ban Ki-Moon, who said “it is now more urgent than ever to try to find common ground for a return to calm and a ceasefire understanding,” reported AFP.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in New York, Ban said Gaza terrorists have fired over 550 rockets into Israel since Operation Protective Edge began Monday. He claimed 88 Arab residents of Gaza have been killed, and roughly 150 houses destroyed or damaged.
“Once again civilians are paying the price for the continuation of conflict. My paramount concern is the safety and well-being of all civilians no matter where they are,” said Ban. “Israel has legitimate security concerns but I am also concerned at the many Palestinian deaths and injuries as a result of Israeli operations.”

Israeli UN Ambassador Ron Prosor played the chilling wail of Israel’s air raid warning from his mobile phone and said: Hamas was threatening the lives of 3.5 million innocent men, women and children across the Jewish state.
“Fifteen seconds, that’s how much time you have to run for your life,” he told the Council; blaming Hamas for putting the lives of Palestinian as well as Israeli civilians at risk.
Israel gives innocent Palestinian civilians prior warning of air strikes, Hamas tells them to stand on rooftops to act as human shields, he said.
He called on the world to denounce, dismantle and delegitimize Hamas, which he said was part of the global threat posed by terror groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Boko Haram.

The sick Gaza/Israel dynamic could have ended with the first rocket they launched at us after we left the territory in 2005 by simply explaining to them that they are in charge of the free flow of water, electricity, food, meds, etc. They have the off switch in their hands and it is triggered each time they launch a rocket over the Gaza border. And it stays off for a day for each rocket. So they also have the on switch simply by not firing. Instead Israel has permitted Hamas to buildup an arsenal of tens of thousands of rockets that can now reach anywhere in Israel. Even at this late state the same solution is at hand and yet still Israel just doesn’t get it. Stupid is what stupid does, over and over again! Sickening!
Notice that this will get BB off the hook for the punishment he boasted to give hamas for the 3 teens. ceasing to fire rockets does not account for that punishment nor does it offer protection for the future. Perhaps BB is a BS artist, he never wanted to attack gaza in the first place and never wanted to do anything about the deaths of the boys, I think he is a fake, a US stooge. If he agrees to a cease fire base do stopping attacks I will say that he pulled off a con job.
Israel must demand that hamas hands over all its weapons and its leadership to avoid war.
The absolute stupidity of the Israelis never ceases to amaze and depress me! They didn’t have fire a single shot or even have one of it’s airplanes leave the ground. G-d forbid they take on a ground offensive which is just what Hamas has been praying for and preparing for all these years. No, in fact, unlike I think any war in history all they have to do is turn off the water, turn of the electricity, stop the trucks with food, meds and other essentials and tell Hamastinians that that will be the case until 1. they stop firing; 2. disarm all of their missiles and 3. turn over the Hamas leaders to face Israeli charges of war crimes. Really that simple!!!!!!!!!!!
And legal too as nobody is required to give material aid to an enemy in time of war. STUPID STUPID STUPID ISRAELIS.
