  1. Who can explain to us where Ukraine was 40-50 years ago?

I searched in THREE directions from Europe, but I couldn’t find it! Here are the three groups of countries that we researched:

1 – The FIRST Group: ‘Neutral and Non-Aligned European States’:

Here are noted these Seven Countries, namely: Austria, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Cyprus and Malta.

    Membership • Austria
    • Finland
    • Sweden
    • Switzerland
    • Yugoslavia
    • Cyprus
    • Malta

2 – In the SECOND Group, there is the NATO organization [founded on April 4, 1949], and where we will find – in the first phase – the 12 founding countries:
    – The United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy and Luxembourg.
Later, other states were added, as can be seen in this link:

    NATO’s Eastern Expansion
    1952 – 1982
    Greece – Turkey
    Germany – Spain

Hungary – Poland – Czech Republic

    2004 – 2009
Bulgaria – Estonia – Latvia – Lithuania –Romania –Slovakia – Slovenia – Albania – Croatia

    2017 – 2023
Montenegro – North Macedonia – Finland.

Current aspirations to join NATO: Sweden, Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia-Herzegovin

3 – The THIRD Group of States functioned from May 14, 1955 to July 1, 1991, after which it Self-dissolved. Those who want more information can find it here:

‘Warsaw Pact, formally Warsaw Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance, composed originally of the Soviet Union and Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Romania.’

So, as can be seen, a country named Ukraine is NOT visible in the European political spectrum of those times…

And then, HOW can is statement be interpreted – “Ukraine Destroyed the E.U”?
