3. @ bernard ross: Rubbish. Israel doesn’t doesn’t use chemical weapons and has gone so far as to cancel operations to avoid collateral damage. It has received the highest praise as the most moral army in the world from all the top western military brass. Google it. Trump knows that. And Trump is pre-disposed towards Israel.

   These are BANNED weapons. FDR threatened to use them on Japan if it didn’t stop using them in China and on Germany if it used them on Soviet troops. People who think he would have shrunk from nuking Japan are fooling themselves.

   It’s a separate question from strategies for winning and losing. These are BANNED weapons. Any regime that uses chemical or biological weapons must be punished into stopping or removed. Period. “Ally” or not.

4. RE: David Hodges. Only able to listen to half of this rambling un-supported nonsense. What 48 hour agreement? Assad is losing the war and he thought he could get away with it after Trump said he would not pursue regime change. Right after Trump’s token strike on the air base, Assad bombed the same neighborhood with conventional bombs.

   When did Trump say he was bringing the troops home? He said he would defeat Isis and only fight when it was in America’s interest and there was a plan to win!
