Peloni: The revealing statements made in this interview in the first ten minutes is very disturbing. In fact, it is informative to learn that Witkoff and Kushner completely disregard their financial ties, or that of family members, to the oil barons with whom they are re-inventing the Middle East, as being a conflict of interest. Revealingly, they describe these conflicts of interest as being ‘experience’ from which their success in reaching the deal struck was secured. Forsaking the need of arms length actors as negotiators betrays the reality that underlying purpose in such requirements in striking any deal is to provide all parties with an equal point of bargaining power.

No one with financial ties to Qatar or any other Middle East Muslim nation involved, including U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, should have any role whatsoever in negotiating a ceasefire. It is an insurmountable conflict of interest that is an existential threat to Israel and to the national security of the United States. Why do I include the United States? Because Qatar has been funding the anti-American, antisemitic, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim, pro-Palestinian indoctrination that is an essential part of the War on America. Qatar is an Islamic country and Sharia is Qatar’s main source of legislation according to Qatar’s Constitution. Islamic doctrine requires all Muslims to commit to jihad and to the establishment of a worldwide Islamiic caliphate.Taqiyya, lying in the service of Islam, and Hudna, a deceitful ceasefire to give jihadis time to resupply, regroup, and reattack are both essential elements of Islamic warfare against the West!! It is a horrific miscalculation on President Trump’s part to imagine that 1400 years of Islamic doctrine will be overturned by himself, or by his two representatives with serious financial conflicts of interest!!
