After doing nothing but joining others in blaming Israel for its own victimization in the wake of being wantonly attacked on October 7th, 2023 by Hamas and just “ordinary” Arab butchers, slaughtering the equivalent of 40, 000 American civilians, Great Britain has continued, largely due to petroleum addiction, to pretend that it didn’t realize the hypocrisy and double standards it routinely uses to judge Israel by.
In former times, 19th and early 20th century pro-Zionist leaders such as Lord Shaftesbury, David Lloyd George, Sir Mark Sykes, Lord Palmerston, Benjamin Disraeli, and Arthur Balfour helped enable the Jewish People to regain hope that their 2,000 year old dream for the restoration of their independent ancestral nation in Zion (referring firstly to Jerusalem, but then including all of Israel as well) would come to fruition.
London would have never tolerated, without forcibly responding, being blasted with thousands of rockets, missiles, incendiary devices, and being repeatedly terrorized BEFORE October 7th, 2023, the way a nine to fifteen mile wide Israel has long been.
Having created the Emirate/Kingdom of Transjordan in the first place in 1922 by lopping off almost 80% of the total original 1920 Mandate of Palestine’s territory—which extended up to His Majesty’s larger Mandate of Mesopotamia (modern Iraq)— and awarding it to ARABISM, when Israel was resurrected on just a fraction of the land originally promised in the 1917 Balfour Declaration, it was bombarded and invaded by a half dozen Arab nations armed to the teeth with large quantities of weapons left over by the Brits in North Africa during the Rommel Campaign and from other sources as well…
Great Britain’s Sir John Bagot Glubb, “Glubb Pasha,” together with other largely antisemitic military officers, created the most effective Arab fighting force facing the extremely vulnerable, minuscule nation of Israel Reborn—Transjordan’s Arab Legion.
Unlike Great Britain of years past, that of the post-WWI 20th century was now largely ruled by those with an anti-Zionist mindset.
To add insult to injury, British occupation forces in the Jewish part of the Mandate routinely raided Israeli kibbutzim and towns to confiscate any weapons they were able to have smuggled in for protection, leaving them defenseless.
An arms embargo had been imposed upon Israel by the American State Department and other high ranking government officials, following Foggy Bottom’s opposition to President Truman’s recognition of Israel in the first place in May 1948.
Largely due to centuries of Church taught and inspired animus towards “god-killing, perfidious, poisoners of wells” Jews, the attitude of many, if not most, post-WW I British officers and government officials (and the population in general) was hostile to both Jews and the Jew of the Nations, Israel, with some exceptions.
Even Sir Winston Churchill, while Colonial Secretary, long considered a good friend of the Jewish People and their quest for reborn national existence following at least four major revolts for independence spanning over five centuries against cruel Roman and successor Byzantine oppressors, was the British leader who shafted not only them but today’s 41 million truly stateless people in MENA, the Kurds.
After convening the Cairo Conference in 1921, he severed all of the Palestine Mandate east of the Jordan River and handed it over to ARABISM via the creation of what today is known as Jordan in a gift to the Hashemite Arab emir, Abdullah.
Simultaneously, Churchill gifted the other Hashemite emir, Faisal, with Syria, but the latter Hashemite prince soon got driven out by France and wound up receiving the Mandate of Mesopotamia instead.
An Arab state in “Palestine” has thus existed on almost 80% of its total land area for over a hundred years.
What’s being demanded today is thus a second, not first, state for Arabs in the original 1920 Mandate’s territory.

The Arab nation of Iraq was created as a result and would subsequently receive active British military assistance in quelling Kurdish revolts which occurred because, unlike in the Mandate of Palestine, where both Jewish (ZIONISM) and Arab (ARABISM) nationalisms were addressed, even if unbalanced in the Arabs’s favor, the Kurds were completely ignored in the Mandate of Mesopotamia—along with Assyrian, Chaldean, and other communities as well.

Thus, recent news about Great Britain going to bat for its long-time Arab allies in the artificial nation of Jordan they created in 1922 by importing Hashemite allies who were getting their derrières booted out of the Arabian Peninsula by the rival family of Ibn Saud (hence, Saudi Arabia today), is long standing tradition…

Recall from above that the most deadly force Israel faced upon its rebirth was led by British officers under Glubb Pasha’s command who crossed the River Jordan and attacked Israel in its war for independence in May ‘48, seized four millennia old ancestral Jewish homeland in historic Judaea and Samaria, and renamed them the “West Bank” to distinguish them from the roughly 80% of the original 1920 Palestine Mandate London gifted to ARABISM in 1922 on the East Bank.
Question: Does the New Testament state that the very special Judaean teacher and carpenter from Nazareth was born in Bethlehem of Judaea or Bethlehem of the West Bank?

After relinquishing sovereignty over its former imperial possessions in places like the entire Indian subcontinent, much of Africa including Sudan and Egypt, Burma, and so forth, how can Great Britain, which forcibly conquered lands and peoples in creating the largest empire that ever existed, now still yet declare sovereignty over places over eight thousand miles away from home like the Falkland Islands, Bermuda, Gibraltar, the Cayman Islands, and other lands as well, and then have the gall to question the Jewish People’s four thousand year old ancestral rights in lands where Abraham purchased a burial site for the Hebrew Patriarchs and most of their Matriarchs in Hebron…

A few centuries before Rome entered onto the scene, the Judaean town of Modi’in is where the Hasmonian family of warriors, the “Maccabees” (hammers!), revolted against Greeks in Seleucid Syria who defiled the Temple and tried to forcibly convert the Jews to their pagan ways.
The Maccabees prevailed, and the Jewish People—not Arabs, not “Palestinians”—regained freedom for a short period of time. The holiday of Chanukah celebrates this victory, and you can read about it in the historical works of Josephus and the Books of Maccabees in the Apocrypha of the Bible.
The events took place after the main events and history of the Bible were recorded so are not included as part of the actual Hebrew Bible per se. Interestingly, however, the Roman Catholic edition of the Bible does include Maccabees I and II.
