Hamas leaders declared today that they will end up with the armored vehicles, assault rifles and ammunition Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed to give Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah organization.
Olmert’s approval to ship 25 armored vehicles to Fatah forces was strongly and harshly contested by the Israel Defense Forces and Israel’s Shin Bet Security Services out of fear Hamas would seize the equipment.
“We thank Olmert for this gift to the American tool (Abbas), because it is only a matter of time before the Islamic resistance (Hamas) will come to the West Bank just as we took Gaza,” said Abu Abdullah, considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas’ so-called military wing. “Of course we will obtain the armored vehicles.”
Muhammad Abdel-El, the spokesman of the Hamas-allied Popular Resistance Committees terror group told WND, “Abbas and the Zionists didn’t learn from the lessons of Gaza. The West transferred weapons and equipment in a conspiracy against Hamas in Gaza; we warned we would take control, and this happened. We say the same thing this time. These new transfers to Abbas will be ours.”
Bush and Olmert have the least approval ratings in their countries in the history of each country and forge their away to this abominable two-state mess in spite of the millions who oppose their agenda. As I read the above, I heard these words (in bold):

The threats to Israel
are pretty depressing. Hizbollah is already in complete control of southern and eastern Lebanon and is armed to the teeth by Iran. Hamas is already in complete control of Gaza and uses every passing day to amass more weapons.
Iran is getting closer to a nuclear bomb every day. Syria demands the Golan Heights overlooking northern
Israel and partial control of the Sea of Galilee (Israel’s main source of fresh water) in return for “peace”,
even though the Syrian regime is a tribal minority that controls the majority through terror, a la Saddam Hussein in Iraq. King Hussein in Jordan uses his Bedouin army to control the Palestinians who constitute two thirds of Jordan’s people, and who are ever more sympathetic with Hamas. Egypt is held together by an aging, sick tyrant, who keeps the Muslim brotherhood under control, but its future is uncertain.
Mahmud Abbas in the West Bank is a weak, timid, colorless leader who may even be a closet sympathizer with Hamas, yet the Israeli leftists want to give him the entire West Bank, including the heights overlooking Ben Gurion airport, as well as east Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and to help him ethnically cleanse 250,000 Jews from their ancestral homeland in Judea and Samaria. And they are just as willing to give Syria what it wants.
The Israeli left, including its news media and university professors, are eager to have Hizbollah, Syria, and Hamas attain a stranglehold over Israel from three sides, even as they nurture a million Israeli Arabs within Israel who can’t wait to join with their Arab brothers in the final solution (but are happy to collect all the welfare the Israeli Jews will give them until then).
And where does Ehud Olmert stand in this? He is inclined towards the left, and would make sweeping concessions if he thought he could get away with it. Happily, he appears to be somewhat constrained by the majority of Israeli Jews (but no Israeli Arabs), who, at least so far, are unwilling to be sold out like Czechoslovakia at Munich without a fight.
It’s amazing. As a kid I read about the “bizarro world” in superman comics, and I think G-d has brought it into existence in Ehud Olmert’s Israel.
