If terrorists stand down, so will Israel

By Ted Belman

I titled an earlier post THIS GAZA WAR WILL END CONCLUSIVELY. I feared at the time that I was wrong. I was indulging in wishful thinking.

Even though the Cabinet has approved the call up of 75,000 reservists, I believe that this operation will end soon.

Jpost reports:

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, however, told Channel 10 that toppling Hamas is not on the agenda as a goal for Operation Pillar of Defense.

“We are definitely considering a ground operation, but toppling Hamas, I think that’s something that the next government will have to decide,” he said.

Liberman also told Channel 2 that the IDF will only stop its attacks against Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip once Israel accomplishes its goals of stopping rocket fire and increasing deterrence.

The Prime Minister has made similar statements.

“It is obvious that the Israeli government cannot or will not help us, so we are on our own,” concluded Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal.
“If for every rocket they launch, a pig will land on their heads, maybe they will think twice,” said the mayor.

Now, Talk about “Flying Pigs.” Just make sure they have “Lipstick” on their lips!

    Arnold,

At least SOMEONE (=You) still Speaks some SOBER ADVISE. The problem is that the folks currently (and for the past 30+ years) occupying the Knesset ARE ALL DRUNK!

  3. @ yamit82:
One more from the Israeli satire blog (ISL) that Yamit mentioned:

We want the land not the Arabs so the humane thing is to drive them out into Egyptian Sinai

    Here is the solution:

In a last ditch effort to save the desert city of Sderot, the beleaguered inhabitants have decided to take matters into their own hands, “It is obvious that the Israeli government cannot or will not help us, so we are on our own,” concluded Mayor Eli Moyal.

One idea that came up in the town meetings is to build giant catapults that will fling pigs into the Gaza Strip. The animals are considered unclean by Moslems and may deter them from continuing the attacks, “If for every rocket they launch, a pig will land on their heads, maybe they will think twice,” said the mayor.

  4. First things first. Last things last.

    1) Invade
    2) Conquer
    3) Subdue
    4) Annex
    5) Settle
    6) Expel

Do not try to imprison them. Do not make vapid and idiotic insults about their religious beliefs. Just take their lands, expel them, and build a bigger and stronger Israel. That is the true meaning of national power.

And no, do not lose your temper about any of this. Do it in cold blood, with lots of careful task-driven analysis, but no anger, no explanations to anybody, no apologies to anybody.

Or keep going through the same useless pretense of national defense time after time. In which the Jews continue to get killed, the government pulls its military punches, and the world yawns. Because the goyim everywhere really don’t give a damn. And why should they? Do any of you care how many non-Jews lose their lives to violence in other countries? And in fact, why should you care about that at all? You are not their keeper, and they are not yours.

The Arabs are anything but stupid. Next time they will figure out how to target the rockets better. In any case, no anti-missle missile defense can be guaranteed to catch all enemy missiles. So the name “Iron Dome” is just public relations fakery.

When will all the Jewish nation wake up to the utter simplicity of all this, and establish a government that will shoot to kill, drive away the hostile populations, and thereby make your state stronger? Remember this and never forget it. There is no peace possible except through conquest. You either destroy your enemies or they destroy you. What is there about all this that you do not understand?

    Laura Said:

The problem is how do you prevent the fallout from lethally harming Israelis?

We want the land not the Arabs so the humane thing is to drive them out into Egyptian Sinai and kill all those who resist.

Then there are lethal ways of killing without the destruction or long lasting radiation. NEUTRON BOMB

Will Israel ever do it? Not as far as I can see unless the provocation is such that there is both justification and Public Israeli support.

The other much slower way is to make things so miserable for the population that they leave on their own volition.

  6. There never has been peace in the Middle East. There never will be peace in the Middle East. And above all, peace in the Middle East is not even possible, given all known cultural, religious and geopolitical considerations.

If this is correct, and I certainly think that is the case, there is no substitute for the following actions:

    1) Invade. conquer, subdue.
    2) Annex.
    3) Expel.

No other solution is permanent. Therefore, any other solution is no solution at all.

Spot on blog. At least someone is telling the truth.

Shalit Family Flees Israel Ahead of Upcoming Wave of Terrorism

    http://israelisatirelab.blogspot.co.il/2011/10/shalit-family-flees-israel-ahead-of.html

ISL – Jeruslaem, 19 October, 2011 – Citing safety concerns, the Shalit family, noted for starring in the Gilad Shalit Reality Show for the past five years, has announced its intention to leave Israel in the immediate future and settle in what they termed “a less hazardous country”.
A spokesman for the family confronted reporters in Tel Aviv today and explained that the release of hundreds of known and experienced murderers has made Israel an exceptionally unsafe place to live in: “Although the Shalit family appreciates the gesture made by the Israeli government, the release of so many hardened terrorists makes living in Israel an extremely frightening prospect.

Israeli air strikes have targeted the headquarters of Gaza’s Hamas leaders, as the bombardment of the coastal enclave moved into a fourth day.

Israel Hits Murderous Office in Gaza

    ISL – Gaza

“In another great military victory for the Israeli Defense Forces, an entire office, belonging to PA Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh from the Hamas, was obliterated. Fortunately, the office was empty so no innocent terrorists were hurt in the daring, pre-dawn raid.
Minister of Defense Ehud Barak praised the Israeli Air Force which managed a direct hit at the terrorist office without damaging any other nearby innocent offices, “In accordance with international law Israel takes great care in preserving the lives of innocent buildings,” Barak said, “Even though in this case, as in many others, the vile terrorists hide their offices among many other, civilian offices”.

PM Haniyeh himself said that he was glad that the Israel destroyed his office, “I hated it – the color scheme was terrible and the view of Gaza city was even worse.”

The Palestinian PM also said that he already has prepared the plans for a new office which will be done in the Bauhaus style – I am a great fan of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe,” said the PM, “And I’m really excited about the new décor.”

Israeli PM Netanyahu praised the decisive action and especially pointed out the diligence of the forces in sparing the lives of Haniyeh and his henchmen, “Sooner or later we will have to talk with Haniyeh or someone like him so there is no point in killing him, in fact, it will only make matters worse,” said Netanyhu,

“‘Better the genocidal maniac you know’ is our policy,” said the PM”.

  11. That’s difficult to do without decapitating Hamas.

If Israel is not going to do it – Israel will be back at it again in a couple of years under far less favorable circumstances.

What is Israel’s goal and what does “deterrence” mean? That’s not exactly clear right now.
