Rabbi Pesach Wolicki talks with Dr. David Wurmser about who has the greater bargaining position going into the US-China Summit. See below for details.
In explaining the world views of each of these competitors, Wurmser, along with noting the relevance of Iran and the US blockade to China, raises the relevance which Turkey’s expansionist ambitions hold for China.
He also addressses the unique distinctions between the relationship between Israel and both UAE and Saudi Arabia, while noting that these relationships always come down to shared interests, and that these shared interests are dependent upon a strong and independent Israel, though moreso with the UAE given Saudi Arabia’s penchant for hedging their bets and seeking short term solutions rather than long term solutions.
Finally, Wurmser addresses the issue of both the people of Iran rising up and the reliability of the Kurds, both of which have reason for being reluctant to come to the aid of the US.
