Iranian Regime’s Survival Strategy: Delay, Deceive, Outlast Trump

Peloni:  This would be the greatest policy failure of the Trump administration if the Mullahs are left in power, the consequences of which would be targeting Israel, the US, and the entire Western World.

  • Possessing nuclear weapons provides any regime with a protective shield against foreign intervention, removing the fear of retaliation. Given this reality, no diplomatic effort — regardless of its structure — will convince Iran to relinquish its nuclear ambitions voluntarily.

  • For the Iranian regime, the tactic of negotiating to buy time has paid off really well. Iran successfully reached a deal with the Obama administration which provided it with financial relief, and diplomatic legitimacy, and the promise of nuclear weapons in just a few years, which just so happens to be this coming October.
  • Unfortunately, Iran appears to be dangerously close to achieving nuclear breakout The only viable solution is to neutralize Iran’s nuclear facilities now.
  • The correct course of action from the Trump administration is clear: reimpose maximum pressure, support Israel in targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, and ensure that the regime’s delaying tactics do not succeed once again.

The Iranian regime, currently at one of the weakest points in its recent history, presents a crucial opportunity for the United States and its allies.

The collapse of its strongest regional ally, Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, has left Tehran without a key pillar of support in the Middle East. Iran’s most powerful proxy groups, Hamas and Hezbollah, have suffered significant setbacks thanks to Israeli military operations. With Iran’s economy in shambles and its isolation increasing, the regime is more vulnerable than ever before. This moment should not be squandered. It presents an unparalleled opportunity to curb Iran’s ambitions — permanently.

Since Donald Trump’s return to the presidency, the Iranian regime is now extending an olive branch, supposedly willing to negotiate on its nuclear program.

  1. Gil-White has discussed how Carter enabled the Jihadist regime in Iran, and Reagan, shortly after he was elected, starting sending them billions of dollars in weapons and ammunition. The MSM account of these actions is “they goofed.”

    Did they?

But every President since then has made it their covert policy to protect the Iranian jihadist regime, whether that President is Clinton, Bush, Obama, etc. Trump, it is true, put economic pressure on Iran.

Those of us paying attention to the 7 front war Israel is being forced to fight against the jihadist regime in Tehran were hoping that Trump would give Israel the green light to proceed with destroying Iran’s nukes, found surprisingly that Trump said “We don’t like to do things that way.” It came as a surprise because usually there is no daylight between Trump and Netanyahu. And when Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff said that “Qatar is doing God’s work”, we all privately groaned. Is he ignorant or is he purposefully sucking up to the demons in Qatar? But then Trump praised Witkoff effusively during the joint press conference between Trump and Bibi, and when asked about his position on Qatar Trump said they were doing excellent work, or something similar. Was Trump telling the truth then, or when he told Bibi “there’s an unbreakable bond between Israel and the US?”

So I ask is Trump truly planning on being a real ally to Israel in dis-empowering Iran or is he going to somehow keep Iran going, ready to activate their nukes whenever the time is right for them?

How do we make sense of the role our country has played in bringing the mullahs to power, arming them and their proxies to the hilt, and overtly kissing Bibi’s ring at the same time? Biden slow walked help for Israel and Trump actively gave Israel what they need to fight the war. (similar to Carter enabling jihad and Reagan supposedly fighting the jihadi Iranian regime, still supplied them with weapons.)

Who is deciding on these policies?
If it is the CIA, it is important to realize that the CIA works for the President. Whatever the CIA does, has been approved by the President. Americans, including me, have not been very aware of the National Security Act of 1947 and what that means for US National Security.
