Peloni: Our history is only precious to us, but more than this, our history stands as a threat to our enemies. Hence, taking control of the archaeological record of our past is an essential aspect of enacting sovereignty. In pursuit of this goal, the Israeli govt has FINALLY taken steps to nationalize a mere 1.5 square kilometer of land containing the ancient remains of the ancient capital of the Northern Kingdom of Ancient Israel. It is heartbreaking to realize that Arab squatters have been empowered to seize this land and that the PA has been allowed to purposefully destroy the record of our ancient presence on our ancestral lands. Hence, contrary to the image presented by the Al Jazeera propagandists, it is only disheartening to recognize that this act of cultural preservation of our history was ignored for decades as the PA and Arab squatters destroyed the documentation of our ancient past held in preservation in the land of our forefathers. Well done! Shomrom, the seat of power of our ancient Northern Kingdom, has been required for the benefit of history and our people.
