Israel must win this war

Peloni:  Highly recommended article.  Caroline Glick presents an important explanation for why Trump must turn away from the failed tactic employed by the Biden administration forcing Israel to surrender and instead to back Israel’s need to win this war.  Doing so will leave the region more stable, and as a consequence Americans will be safer.  As I have noted previously, America’s strength in the region lies with a strong Israel, and to do this, Israel must fulfill its war aims before bringing this war to a conclusion.

  1. The “Law of Cause and Effect” states that the more one supports this type of behaviour, the more likely it will be that one will ultimately succumb to it…

  3. THis deal is truly infamous. I remains me of Churchill’s remarks when Britain did absolutely nothing when Germany reoccupied the Rhineland in defiance of its treaty obligations: “We have sustained an unmitigated defeat.”

This is a major disaster for Israel. Shame on the Israeli government, including the entire civilian cabinet as well as the military chiefs, for agreeing to it.

  5. My first thought after Oct 7 was that the endless marches by the leftists during (and perhaps before) 2023 served as a huge distraction from what was going on in Gaza. As dreuveni says (below) the “Get rid of Bibi!” crowd were responsible for setting up these marches, so in my opinion, THEY were the ones who promoted what was to be the next Holocaust.
Never underestimate the wholesale swallowing of ideological garbage of the leftists and the repercussions that often follows.

  6. Trump must turn away? Trump will turn away only if he perceives his interests and those of the United States require a turn. Otherwise, there will be no turning away. A great deal of rhetoric, perhaps, but no turn.

  7. Caroline is 100% correct. We have felt, if not known, that October 7 was not a mistake or an overlooked action by the Hamas & co. Finally someone (who is not one of the commentors here) has said that out loud. The first reports we heard were that there was no-one there to protect the local population who had been mostly disarmed and that the handful of people securing the rave event were fully incapable of the required protection. Then it really took weeks to get adequate forces to the front and air cover of the ongoing fighting. In short, this was a debacle. We even went so far as to admire the tricks Hamas presented, as if our vaunted intelligence services were fully unaware of the preparations for these actions. The only response from people in Israel, who should have known better, was “Get rid of Bibi!”. As far as the blackmailing by the US regime is concerned, we should have used the Samson Option.
