Israeli, UK data offer mixed signals on vaccine’s potency against Delta strain

Israel’s Coronavirus Cabinet voted Thursday to reimpose the ‘green pass’ system, limiting entry to some public venues to the vaccinated and recovered COVID patients.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett convened the Coronavirus Cabinet, after the meeting was delayed for several days, at IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv, following a call by the Health Ministry to bring back the ‘green pass’ system in the hopes of curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
During the meeting, Bennett laid out the government’s strategy for combating the Indian or Delta variant of the virus, focusing on renewed efforts for mass vaccination, the use of masks, and measures aimed at protecting vulnerable populations.
The plan also included the renewal of the ‘green pass’ system, a measure which was approved by the Coronavirus Cabinet, along with new restrictions on air travel.
The green pass system will go into effect starting next Thursday, and will limit entry to any event with 100 people to attendees with valid vaccinations cards, certificates of recovery, or recent negative COVID tests. Only attendees over 12 years old will be limited by these restrictions.
In addition, the limits to entry will also be imposed, regardless of the number of attendees, on all sports and cultural events, gyms, restaurants and dining halls, conferences, synagogues and other houses of worship, and tourist attractions.
The Coronavirus Cabinet also voted to remove the subsidy for coronavirus tests for people who have not been vaccinated, requiring them to pay for any tests they may require.

As far as my point #3, you are right but I stated the same thing already elsewhere on this site that their sequence of actions was completely unsuitable for managing an epidemic, and if it were a real plague, the politicians would let the real medical professionals manage it.
The genetic experiment, however, in the worst case may end up depopulating the planet of humans.
As far as #4, I am not as optimistic as you are regarding the force of the popular protests.
The powers-that-be will let the protesting minority let off steam, then they will take care of the dissenters, and will proceed with their plans as though nothing has happened.
Why would anyone be afraid of some wild protests when they have the police and the military on their side?
In case you didn’t notice, we are now living under global dictatorship.
All that’s left of the so-called democracy is the fact that the PTB are letting their stupid subjects fight it out during the so-called elections every so many years (depending on each country’s laws) the results of which make no difference whatsoever.

Well stated, again. I agree with everything you state here, except on 2 points.
Your #3, I would suggest the best evidence that “the health of the population is the least of whoever-is-in-charge-of-it concerns” is best displayed by their willful resistance to pursue or employ, or allow any physicians to administer, the treatments that have been independently developed and work quite well at saving lives in real time and building immunity – there can be no explanation for this act. The suggestion of the vaccine, though needlessly reckless and faulty, could be argued as well intended and now that they have pursued this policy, they are quite stuck with it (this is just a small critique, but it does ignore the controversy of the vaccine and directly demands answers to the topic of early treatments which none can explain with any competence as to why it is not being employed – there simply is no answer).
Your #4, I would suggest the public outrage across the globe yesterday was quite a significant asteroid – these democratic lands will not suffer these harms indefinitely. I believe, it is the first of many such asteroids to which these democratic realms will need to employ increasingly extreme force. If this is so, things may mature to an unpleasant stage and then, well, we will see how things turn out.
Of course, much of the public angst and alarm could be addressed with the creation of a public dialogue. Bennett quite missed this opportunity by treating the public as children and admonishing them to do as the leader of the free world, who stole his election, Biden, suggested and just take your medicine like the children, as he sees the public, perhaps. I thought better of Bennett than this, but it is a common trait of men in leadership roles to condescend and push things along. That will not work well for him i think, in this moment.
If he had actually stated that there is a lot of alarm and concern that the vaccines are dangerous and failing, but we will have a press conference today at 5 with his health advisors who can answer all concerns …. Well this would have been the better move for a democratic leader, one who carries the support of the public, rather than one that assumes it. He can still do this, and I hope he would. I also think he can not do this, as his advisors would have to answer questions that are easily raised, and I noted just a few in another post, which I am uncertain if they can easily answer. Yet, if they can, this is how a democratic leader might avoid such protests as are clearly unpleasant for all.
We are sitting upon quite an explosive moment, currently, and, perhaps, this is what is desired by those who have engineered these events. Overall, though, @Reader, well stated.

I am glad that you appreciate my thoughts on the matter.
This whole debacle was abnormal from the beginning.
The only things which are clear to me at this point are:
1) something extremely unusual happened between July and November of the year 2019 (whether it was planned or not);
2) whatever happened was used to create a global health, economy (including the destruction of small businesses and further concentration of capital), societal change, and human mind manipulation program which has no precedent in human history and which is based on fear and ignorance of the masses;
3) the health of the population is the least of whoever-is-in-charge-of-it concerns because if they had wanted to save lives, they wouldn’t have done things the way they did, i.e., staging a global genetic experiment on humans which might end up killing or damaging more people than the virus itself would;
4) obviously, they want the program to continue and expand for whatever reason, and it looks like nothing will stop it short of a huge asteroid hitting the planet.

Your notation on this point has been well stated here and in your previous 2 postings and very well demonstrates the absurdity of using a test to prove you are sick. It does seem strange to me that this test has been used for some 18months and only now they are removing authorization, but allowing its use to continue another 6 months. The testing protocols for the PCR are really too irradic and still lack a standardization across all, or even most, labs. I believe, Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test stated that it should not be run at cycle thresholds above either 20 or 25. Indeed, the test is being utilized at 40 in some labs which provides for a 90% false positive rate. Still, as you stated this test can not, regardless of the level of sensitivity utilized, demonstrate the presence of illness. The body routinely encounters organisms that it is capable of managing, and it acutally requires some of these for a state of good health. Illness occurs when the body is incapable of controlling or defeating the population of these organisms, which causes an increased immune response and generally stimulates fever, inflammation…..
I have to say it again:
infected NOT = sick.
Someone who tested positive for a virus is NOT a patient unless he exhibits symptoms of an illness, unless the illness in question is something like rabies where waiting for symptoms to appear amounts to a death sentence.
Humans are NOT mechanical robots that can be disinfected inside by various chemical means.
The most likely result of these more sophisticated tests will be that the person tested will be found “infected” with BOTH COVID and the flu, and as such will be required to take BOTH kinds of vaccine and labeled a patient and a two-disease spreading leper.

Ted, please fish out of the junk files my comment about the “madness” of Israel’s and many other country’s policies of a) requiring people to have passes to do anything at all (similar to the pass laws of South Africa and in the the U.S for slaves before the civil war), and b) attempts to completely eliminate CV-2 by such drastic measures is unrealistic, since it is likely to be with us permanently, like Influenza, no matter what we do, and c) the severe damage to people’s morale, and the harmful effects on culture, religion and family life of severe restrictions on normal human activity will cause far more harm than the disease.

As I wrote in my previous post, testing positive for a virus is no proof of being SICK with the virus.
If you test for viruses, everyone who you test will be diagnosed as “sick” whether he has any symptoms or not.
This definition of sickness is completely novel and designed to declare EVERYONE as a patient in need of treatment.
For what purpose – only those who came up with this idea know for sure.

They don’t even think of us as of animals or things because one can get emotionally attached to animals or things.

Testing positive for a virus does NOT mean that whoever has tested positive (especially with an invalid test) is sick.
An average human has in him about 55 (fifty five) different viruses at any given time and over 3 POUNDS of various kinds of bacteria.
This means that, according to our wise men politicians, if each and every one of us were to be tested just for every one of these viruses, every one would be found to be a leper sick with up to 55 sicknesses!
The reason most people on Earth think that they are healthy (and they are, as long as they don’t have any symptoms of an illness) is because in most people their IMMUNE SYSTEMS WORK VERY WELL and prevent those symptoms from manifesting.
If you use the definition of positive = sick, there will be no person left in the world who could not be diagnosed with some viral or bacterial disease.
Either the powers that be are INCREDIBLY DUMB, or they think the whole population of the planet Earth is.

I totally agree with Adam’s observations here. There are many such examples of the breakthroughs that have occured over the past several weeks to month in Malta, England and Israel, each of which hold a significant population as protected. If we do not consider the implications of these breakthroughs and develop a valid forward looking strategy, such as EARLY TREATMENTS, these scenarios have the potential of greatly impacting the public well being, irrespective of the safety issues and development issues of the vaccine.
While it is true that most hospitalizations and deaths from CV-19 since December have been from unaccinated or only partially vaccinated people, this pattern has begun to change over the past month or so. There has been a noticeable increase in “breathrough cases of vaccinated people. That is a sure sign that the vaccines have begun to lose their effectiveness. This is a common pattern with vaccines for several other diseases. Their effectiveness declines after a time unless they are “refreshed” with new vaccinations.
One evidence for the vaccines’ declining effectiveness is what happened to the 50 Texas Democratic legislatures who fled their own state for political reasons. All 50 were fully vaccinated before they got on the plane for washington. Yet after a flight lasting only a few hours, six tested positive for cv-2 when they arrived in Washington. They also infected a number of White House staffers and congressional aids with whom they met shortly after their arrival. All of these individuals were fully vaccinated as well. Both the White House and Congress have kept the number of aides infected, and their identities secret. A sure sign that they are trying to hide something politically damaging.

This is not a criticism but as I pointed out previously, the cabinet (politicians) are not qualified to lead the efforts to combat a real epidemic.
They are not very well educated humans, most of them are not that smart, all of them are afraid to take on the responsibility of going against the current, and last but not least – they are not medical experts, they cannot even comprehend what the statistical data mean, much less what the real medical professionals have to say about this.
BTW, about statistics.
There is no way anyone can understand what the data really mean unless they know exactly how this data was obtained and how it was calculated.

The WSJ article you share does employs categories of unvaccinated which can not be rectified from the inclusion of the partially vaccinated individuals, to whatever level that is, and which can not be known. Hence, the unvaccinated category is actually containing those individuals who have displayed the Covid disease as well as the partially vaccinated individuals who are suffering from either Covid-like-side-effects of the vaccine as well as those who contracted the Covid disease while only partially protected. I do not mean to enter a debate with you by noting this, as such debates should be held for less meaningful topics. My intent here is intended only to explain the point I made below, as it is relevant to your cited article. Recall the definition of unvaccinated individuals includes those people having Covid symptoms after 1 shot for Moderna and Phizer….The use of terms chosen to represent the perfection achieved by fully vaccinated individual renders the information being recorded on unvaccinated individuals, quite imprecise as a consequence. With this in mind, many things are revealed as irrelevant and many other things very relevant, both in the US and Israel. The unvaccinated category is over represented with partially vaccinated individuals, and their adverse reactions. Meanwhile, the vaccinated category is underrepresented by individuals who have been injected with the vaccines. The impact of this phenomena is that the unvaccinated category includes many thousands of people who became ill only after taking the vaccine, which makes the use of this category of unvaccinated a mixed pool. At the same time, the vaccinated category includes only those who have been blessed with a full inoculation of the vaccine and, hence any breakthrough of illness would seem quite relevant.
Additionally, it should be noted that the spike protein inoculation was referenced by Dr. McCullough as a poison, and for the first time has stated he can not refer its use to anyone, not the elderly, not those in the at-risk group. McCullough is a renowned medical researcher who is still employed by NIH in the US to conduct their research for them…. The many questions of the growing group of skeptics about these vaccines will continue to build while the answers are still met with a silent reproach by the relevant govt officials in each country… Of course, the answers will be had with time, the only issue is whether we will be informed before or after every surviving man, woman and child is inoculated with this spike vaccine. They should address these concerns.
In the USA it is reported that 97% of those now hospitalized for Covid-19 are the un-vaccinated. 99% of those dying are the un-vaccinated.
The Delta variant is putting people in their 30s in the hospital who are not vaccinated.
Hard to imagine that so many lack critical thinking. There will be one so called “variant ” after another unless there is a lot of collective pushback on this absolute hoax known as covid….its societal control
The cabinet is unified. I believe they have the best information and have the interests of the people at heart.
