  1. Revelations/speculations?

The most obvious of these is the (apparent) deference being shown to Qatar by Donald Trump as well as most of the Western world. Today’s Jerusalem Post was quite open about how upset Trump is with Israel for bombing a meeting of Hamas leaders!!!! Why is that? I’m certain Trump understands that Qatar underpins and funds most of the most of the problems affecting Western Civilization, including the growing power of the Muslim Brotherhood.
So can this be explained (rationally)?

  2. Fascinating discussion. In my opinion, if Israel managed to eliminate even one Hamas leader, the operation was a success. The Israelis seem to think it was a failure because they did not manage to wipe out the entire Hamas leadership in one blow. But that was never a realistic ambition. It does seem, from numerous reports in the Arab press, that one senior Hamas leader, as well as his son, who is also a Hamas staff officer, were killed by the Israeli bomb. For me, that makes the operation a success. Also, it will increase the fear of the remaining leaders. They now know that they are not safe anywhere, not even in Doha, which they have always considered a safe refuge.

The Israelis, it seems to me, hold their armed forces and security oraganizations to an unrealistically high standard.
