Pollard was nothing of the kind. He brought shame and embarrassment to the Jewish People. Nothing but a common spy. The story that has sprung up about him nobly wanting to give Israel information they were entitled to, is mostly false. And I see that he hasn’t lost his glibness, by his popularity with our members. I don’t listen to him. Never have. .He’d teach me nothing. I find it hard to believe that High officials confide their State Affairs to him. It would surely be breaking the Law.. I don’t believe it, he knows as much as every average citizen and cleverly and logically works on it.
He hawked his suitcase of secret info around to several embassies and sold them for cash. He openly offered them to others also who, wary, refused. He was at the time like a crazy man.
It was an irony of fate that he was treated far worse than the most successful spies for Russia. Being a Jew, made the Jews who had the say, more severe on him, because of their shame.
When he came to Israel he became very “Rabbinic”. He grew a white bushy beard and wore a kipa, all fraudulent, and looks the part.
I don’t say he is not clever and intelligent. His position in the US shows that he is..
Israel made a hero of Pollard, who brings NO advantage to the country.
Conversely, they refused entry to Meyer Lansky, whose genius could have become the Minister for Finance and brought the country great success.
You know I suppose that Lansky, when brought to trial in the US was found NOT GUILTY. He was part of the Mob, yes, but just an accountant Their financial genius and advisor on maney matters…..
I thought it was amazing that Pollard remembered the same episode of The Twilight Zone which happens to be the only episode I watched of that series when it was rerun much later.
Of course, what is really remarkable is that he remembered it as an illustration of the relationship between the US and Israel.
Pollard was a sacrificial lamb for the Deep State, the prime example of the “six ways to Sunday” that Sen. Schumer said the Intelligence community was able to bring to bear against its enemies — such as the State of Israel. Yes, he is very brave; and I tremble at the thought of what God will do to those who tormented him.
Pollard is very well informed from high up people who confide in him he is a very brave man and an excellent source as to what is going on. The rabbi who dialogs with him annoys the hell out of me. He is always interrupting and “correcting” Pollard and arguing with him. He thinks he knows better than Pollard about what is going on in the Israeli government. And it is obvious that that is not true. He is argumentative but ignorant, at least when compared to Pollard. A poor show host.
I enjoy listening to Pollard. In the back of my head, I feel that the Israeli government will listen to him, and bomb an Iraqi nuclear reactor or something.
In reality, I think nobody in Israel listens to him; and ultimately it’s same-o same-o, Israel turns all its victories into defeats and the right wing blames the US.

Nonetheless, I like hearing him talk.
