Lebanon: Hizballah supporters riot in Beirut against Lebanon-Israel peace talks agreement

Peloni:  Hezbollah’s show of force in the streets of Beirut threatens Lebanon’s Prime Minister from the streets of his own capital.  It would be a mistake to believe that these threats are not material in nature, or that their effect will not have the desired effect of reminding both the Lebanese people and the Lebanese govt of the power which Hezbollah commands in Lebanon.  Only by eliminating their masters in Tehran will this Iranian organization cease to form a basis of control in Lebanon and a consistent threat to Israel.

Hizballah doesn’t want peace. It doesn’t want peace talks. All Hizballah wants is to destroy Israel. That is the jihad imperative: “Drive them out from where they drove you out” (Qur’an 2:191). The land of Israel was once under Muslim rule, and so Muslims have an obligation before Allah to fight to gain it back for the house of Islam.

  1. Journalist Amit Segal went viral after publishing an English-language post mocking Europeans following the signing of the agreement between Israel and Lebanon: “Sending my condolences to France and Britain. They repeatedly condemned IDF actions in southern Lebanon, only to discover this evening that Lebanon actually supports them in order to dismantle Hezbollah.”

As a reminder, under the agreement that was signed, Lebanon allows the IDF to temporarily remain in its positions in the south of the country in order to act against Hezbollah infrastructure.

  2. We’re taking this issue seriously for all the wrong reasons. Hezbollah have a relgious mandate issued by the Ayatolahs and at least some of the gulf states to foment riots and motivate the general public in most muslim countries to kill the infidels wherever they can get away with it. They have so much fun doing all of that, that they cannot be easily suppressed. In many EU and north American countries, mostly left oriented governments go easy on these guys for various reasons. As an example, does anyone think that religion alone is the driving force behind gang rapes? It only supplies the excuse and then the fun can follow.
