Peloni: Our history is replete in tales of terror and tragedy, but the slaughter of the 22 children which took place between the change of govts in the follow-up of the disaster of the Yom Kippur War has always held a particular dimension of horror each time I revisit it. The memory of this tragedy loomed ever present in the wake of October 7 when innocent children were once again taken hostage, and then again months later with the news that Bibi children had been butchered by their captives. This is the nature of Evil which faces us, and which faces the entire West.
