PELONI: This is a big deal. Up to this point, everyone has been dismissing the Mecca Pact as being another Middle East partnership which had no real role beyond its formation. Also included in this pact was a clause indicating that only issues arising in the future would be covered by the terms of the agreement. Nonetheless, as the Saudis are making gains on the battlefield they have triggered the Mecca Agreement all for one and one for all terms, making this a rather important change in the Middle East. Take note of Turkey’s interest in settling the war against the Houthis in such a way as to promote Turkey’s already significant role in the Horn of Africa, something which will no doubt be used to threaten Israel’s partnership with Somaliland.

Always thought it was an anti-IL alliance, soon or later!
