Mike Huckabee’s Pan-Arabist Campaign Manager: Ed Rollins @ Recent Hezbo-Sponsored Conference

[After posting Huckabee’s support of Israel, this was brought to my attention. I believe Rollins is still working for Huckabee.]

By Debbie Schlussel

Fred Thompson’s choice of pan-Islamist Spencer Abraham first as his campaign manager and now as one of three “national campaign co-chairs” (there were four–but one resigned because of drug-dealing convictions) was far worse. But Mike Huckabee‘s choice of Ed Rollins as his campaign manager–though not half as bad as Spence Abraham–is pretty bad.

You probably remember Rollins as the brilliant Reagan campaign strategist. But I remember him as the man who ran Ross Perot’s insane Ron-Paul-esque campaign.

And now, I remember him as one of three Republican bizarros who participated in the October Arab American Institute national conference in Dearbornistan, sponsored by Hezbollah restaurant La Shish and populated by all sorts of Hezbollah and HAMAS supporters. As I first reported, the Arab American Institute had no problem accepting money and catering from and enlisting as a sponsor the restaurant that gave $20 million to Hezbollah and gave shelter to Muslim illegal aliens, including CIA/FBI agent mole Nada Nadim Prouty.

  1. Huckabee forgives murderers on the fly — check his record yourself … his cheeks will be flapping in the wind as he turns the other cheek all day long and sells the Jews out.

  2. Mike Huckabee is a fraud. he woyuld sell his mother into slavery. He believes in and supports nothing except Mike Huckabee. You can check out his record here and his record on illegal alienS. Character is absent. He is part of the problem not a solution.

  3. Every President since Carter has pushed the 2 state suicide solution. Sure we throw money at Israel but then we think we have the right to slap Israel around like a prostitute just because we paid her. We’ve spent 60 years delegitimizing Israel with one breath and calling Israel “friend” and “ally” with the next. Clearly, politicians over the years have looked at Israel more as something of varying strategic import. Politicians say what it takes to get the Jew’s money & vote. In hindsight, I’m not impressed with our overall treatment of Israel. We should have, over the past 60 years, recognized Israel’s right to all land gained after repeated attacks by her neighbors; by not doing so we have helped reinforce the myth of the ARAB right to a “Palestinian” state. Had we been more diligent in our pursuance of historical accuracy we would’ve pushed for Jordan to absorb the Fakestinians.

  4. Debbie would prefer the United States just be a puppet State of Israel’s with no agenda other than what Israel wants. That attitude will turn 88% of America against Israel. Maybe we should trundle up the poor girl and send her to Haifa where she can help burn Palestinian children and eat gefilte fish all day.

  5. Huckabee may or may not be a real friend of Israel, and I see no reason to doubt that he is as far as it goes but he is no real conservative based on his record. He is non confrontational and I have seen him put down by Fuck the Jews Baker and others. Having Rollins as a campaign manager is akin to receiving and accepting donations from neo-Nazis and not returning it. He has now an opportunity to be rid of Rollins but if he doesn’t I would X him out as a contender.

What Schlussel has done is to question with facts and hidden information not in the popular public domain, questions of conservative credentials of many who are considered conservative and friends of Israel. Many talk the talk but few walk the walk and even fewer walk the walk when it really counts.

You can’t knock Obama for his friends and associations and overlook Huckabee and Others including Palin. That’s hypocrisy.

  6. Laura,

You are correct in that we need to look at the whole picture, and not focus on just the man’s campaign manager. A good example of this is Barack Obama, who surrounded himself with Jews. On the other hand, Huckabee knows how to pump out vote-getting rhetoric like all the rest.

I don’t know which Republican nominee I would vote for; but I would definitely NOT vote for John Bolton, who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations — unless, of course, he ran against Biden, who is also a CFR member; or Hillary, whose husband is, or… Who knows? Last time, I supported CFR member John McCain against non-CFR guy Obama; and we got CFR’s Biden in the bargain. In Israel for a long time, it seemed that no matter who won the election, you got Shimon Peres. Something similar seems to be at work in the US.

It’s still early in the game, and Huckabee has time to repent. If he doesn’t dump his campaign manager, I will certainly scratch him off my “possible” list.

  7. I have no use for Ed Rollins but I don’t doubt Mike Huckabee’s sincerity regarding his support for Israel. Is there a conservative who Debbie Shlussel supports? I haven’t come across anyone. She will ALWAYS reach in order to “prove” such and such a conservative is really a fraud when it comes to being pro-Israel and anti-jihad. Huckabee has even gone futher than most conservative politicians by actually defending Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria. I don’t know what one has to do to sufficiently prove they are a friend of Israel to Schlussel.
