Nesting

For those of you who enjoy the comments, I want your opinion as to whether we should go with the nesting or with the way it was.

I prefer the way it was so I don’;t miss a comment that is nested rather than in chronological line.

Please comment.

Now, I am merely wondering at which saloon you were.

Not too far off. My notebook has the hiccups. Working on a backup until the new one arrives.

    Nesting is for the birds.

I was wondering where you were.

Thanks to this entry, I have narrowed it down.

Now, I am merely wondering at which saloon you were.

  3. Ted, if you are going to take away the nesting option, it would be nice to have the comments numbered as before.

Just because something is new, does not mean it is better. While I appreciate you trying new things, sometimes the old is more comfortable. It has been a few weeks now, I think we have all given it a chance. The new just does not work as well as the old.

  4. Ayn you wouldn’t believe it, I am in our family room watching the movie “The Parent Trap”, the granddaughters had their baths and are snuggled in a tent in the family room likewise. Mom and dad went to see a music group “Air Supply”. My son called awhile ago and said they were on their way home, I said good, I’ll drop the girls off tomorrow around 5 AM, he laughed, said he had the car seat and would pick them up around 2 PM. They must have planned it. The little one needs the seat. This is a wonderful conspiracy.

  5. ron,

People who hate being Jewish do not want to “stick together” or marry other Jews.

They want to prove to their anti-Semitic acquaintances that they are “not like those other Jews”.

It never works, but the effort is continuous.

As Uncle Yum Yum (mly) would say, “It represents a triumph of hope over experience.”

By the way, yamit had an exceptionally strong day of prose.

Should be interesting to learn tomorrow morning how far he moved the needle on Alexa.

  6. I think this nesting idea is interesting and novel as is the word “nesting” used to describe the concept.

It more clearly indicates to whom one is responding and can allow for a sub-discussion thread between or amongst people debating the initial commenter’s post.

My vote is to stick with the nesting at least for a while and see if it proves to be the good idea it was 1st thought to be or a good idea, but just not for this crowd.

  7. Babs is the personification of the ultra-left, Israel-hating Hollywood community.

Ayn what I find baffling is if there were a large number of Jews in the US it would be one thing however Jews (2009) represents 2.1% of the population. It appears that the majority of this 2.1% is liberal and anti-Israel.

You would expect this small group would be united, this doesn’t appear to be the case.

I mentioned once before while yet still in HS, a Jewish glazier who was kind to us Catholic school students from time to time by providing the glass, accessories and instructions to replace windows we broke. The nuns had a rule, you break, you replace.

This kind gentleman told me after what had happened in Europe Jews found it necessary to stick together and help each other. I admired that.

Unfortunately, not today. I believe as Yamit (Uncle Nahum) stated, intermarriage is destroying Jewish family life as it once was.

These lovely Jewish gals have to marry Jewish guys and if not, they have to insist on bringing up the children Jewish no and’s if or buts.

  8. Babs is the personification of the ultra-left, Israel-hating Hollywood community.

True. I was being too generous towards her.

  9. Streisand is a disgraceful coward who obviously caved to pressure from the ultra-left, Israel-hating hollywood community.

Babs is the personification of the ultra-left, Israel-hating Hollywood community.

Jason Alexander belongs to a group called “One Voice” that condemns a) Israeli settlers; and b) Palestinian terrorists.

    Moral equivalency.

On one hand, you have Jews.

On the other hand, you have Jew killers.

Alexander claims to have adopted a stance of strict neutrality.

The Lord is not amused, and has consigned Costanza to doing Jenny Craig commercials.

  10. Another vote for the old way.

Streisand is a disgraceful coward who obviously caved to pressure from the ultra-left, Israel-hating hollywood community.

I wish Chaim Witz would come out and defend his nation of birth against the other folks in the music business who are boycotting Israel. Although not a leftist like they are, nevertheless, he is gutless or perhaps he just doesn’t give a damn about the nation of his birth.

  11. I vote for the old ways.

By the way Ayn awhile ago my son said [we have FOX News on all day in the office) “the president goes all out for the president of Mexico, a country that has caused us enormous amount of problems, treating him royally however, when PM Netanyahu the leader of one of our closes and trusted ally Israel comes he is given the cold shoulder”.

My reply “just goes to show you what a jerk Barak is”
