Biden’s Foreign Policy Boss Called for Anti-Israel DNC Platform

by Daniel Greenfield, FPM    June 25, 2020,

Jewish Democrats are working hard to convince American Jews that Biden will be friendly to Israel, but his latest move once again sends a very different message.

The Biden campaign is busy putting together its transition team and Avril Haines, Obama’s deputy CIA director, will head foreign policy and national security…. Bringing in Haines to serve under Brennan was a blatant attempt at embedding an Obama loyalist near the top of the CIA. And Haines has stayed loyal to her former boss.

In May, Haines joined other Obama staffers in[signing on to a letter (https://www.jns.org/former-national-security-officials-call-for-tougher-stance-on-israel/) by the J Street anti-Israel lobby which complained that previous DNC platforms had been “silent on the rights of Palestinians, on Israeli actions that undermine those rights and the prospects for a two-state solution.”

‘Biggest Bait And Switch In History’: Attorney General Barr Slams Tech Giants For How They Gained Power

DAILY CALLER

Attorney General William Barr told “Verdict with Ted Cruz” this week that the way that the big tech companies obtained the overwhelming level of power that they have was through “the biggest bait and switch in history,” arguing that they gained power by allowing diverse views on their platforms and once they became dominate in the market, they started censoring views they didn’t like.

“We have antitrust investigation of all the major Internet platforms or most of the major Internet platforms, and that’s very much underway,” Barr said on the show, which is co-hosted by Daily Wire podcast host Michael Knowles. “I expect to be making decisions in the next few weeks about actions on that. I think during the summer we’ll see some developments. But this issue of censorship is very troubling because our country was based and the Framers, as you know, believed the thing that would ultimately keep us free and keep a majority from repressing the minority is a lot of diversity of voices out there — a robust marketplace.”

Top US Think Tank Urges Trump to Back Israeli Sovereignty Extension to Jordan Valley

JINSA

I. Executive Summary

Israel’s recently declared intent to extend sovereignty to parts of the West Bank beginning in July, based on the Trump peace plan, has sparked passionate discussion. Often overlooked is the distinction between Israel extending its sovereignty to all proposed areas of the West Bank, versus just to the Jordan Valley. The former encompasses 29 percent of heavily populated areas in the West Bank, while the sparsely populated Jordan Valley comprises just 15 percent of the West Bank’s landmass. ( This excludes the ancient city of Jericho, to which Israel is not now considering extending sovereignty. Jericho currently has a population of about 20,000, mostly Palestinians.) And the Jordan Valley is a critical slice of strategic territory that holds the key to Israel’s security.

At JINSA’s Gemunder Center, we focus on U.S. strategic and security interests, and in this paper we explain that U.S. national security interests would be well served if Israel enshrined its permanent control of the Jordan Valley by acting now to extend its sovereignty there. This will boost the security of Israel, as well as Jordan, two pivotal American allies in the region. We believe it important to consider the status of the Jordan Valley on its own terms and dispassionately.

Antifa planned anti-government insurgency for months, law enforcement official says

T. Belman.  This article describes what drives Antifa but has nothing to say about who is behind it and who finances it.

Activists of the far-left Antifa movement began planning to foment a nationwide anti-government insurgency as early as November as the U.S. presidential campaign season kicked off in earnest, according to a law enforcement official with access to intelligence behind the shadowy group.

The radical movement has emerged as a key focus for investigators in the wake of violent protests and looting across the country after the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis, according to U.S. law enforcement officials and private security experts.

The law enforcement official would not speak on the record about Antifa’s plans as the election season heats up, but longtime analysts of the group say such a move would be entirely in character.

French official stumped after former US Mideast envoy defends Israel

After French official warns that the Israeli sovereignty bid “will have consequences,” Jason D. Greenblatt responds that the accusations against Israel are an attack against the United States as well.

Former US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason D. Greenblatt and a senior official at the French Foreign ministry clashed this week over the Trump administration’s peace plan, with the two clashing over Israel’s intention to apply its sovereignty to certain areas in Judea and Samaria.

The clash took place during a special online discussion to mark the 100th anniversary of the San Remo Conference, which was a major milestone in granting international recognition to future Jewish statehood and Zionism.

Greenblatt, who is one of the chief architects of the Trump administration’s peace plan, defended Israel against the Director of the North Africa and Middle East department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Farnaud, after the latter attacked Israel for planning to implement the part that allows it to extend its sovereignty to Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

JUNKING THE JEWS IS BEHIND OUR CURRENT HOBBESIAN NIGHTMARE

By Melanie Phillips

International pressure on Israel not to extend its sovereignty over parts of the disputed territories of Judea and Samaria is increasing. More than 1,000 European parliamentarians have signed a letter asserting that this proposal, which they term “annexation,” would “encourage other states with territorial claims to disregard basic principles of international law.”

Following the brutal death in police custody of George Floyd, racial anarchy in America is increasing. In Seattle and Washington, D.C., there have been attempts to set up “autonomous zones” that exclude the police. Statues and other artworks that have been targeted for toppling as representing “white privilege” include those of Abraham Lincoln, the 19th-century anti-slavery activist Hans Christian Heg and now even Jesus.

China’s Undeclared War on India

by Vijeta Uniyal, GATESTONE INSTITUTE    •  June 26, 2020

India has been facing its toughest military challenge in nearly six decades after 20 Indian soldiers were reported beaten to death by Chinese troops in a border clash. • China’s artificial islands in the South China Sea — equipped with military bases, naval ports and airfields — pose a strategic threat to neighboring countries. In 2018, China landed nuclear strike-capable bombers on these artificial islands, sending an alarming message to the U.S. and regional powers.
  • Some commentators ascribe China’s stepped-up predations — on Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and Australia — to a hope that the world is too distracted by the coronavirus pandemic and the economic devastation it unleashed to bother confronting China, let alone stop it.

Widberg: Trump’s pre-election strategy is to let the mayhem play out.

Trump is allowing Americans to experience first-hand the immediate consequences of their political choices in America’s fifty “laboratories of democracy.” They will see the vast differences between Democrat run municipalities and states and Republican ones and vote accordingly.

By Andrea Widburg, AMERICAN THINKER

Since 2020’s craziness began, Tucker Carlson has been brilliant. He’s talked us through speech-killing political correctness and “cancel culture,” a health panic that leftist politicians have used to break Trump supporters, and racism as bad as that during the Jim Crow era only with the races reversed. Carlson is always unafraid to tell the truth.

When the riots started, between his job at Fox News and his home base in Washington, D.C., Carlson has had a front-row seat for the spectacle of leftist protesters systematically destroying property and America’s heritage. It is a demoralizing show.

This demoralization was front and center in Carlson’s monologue on Thursday night. He opened by saying there’s a good chance that Trump can lose the election, making Biden president. (Were that to happen, I believe America would become the first country ever knowingly to elect to its highest office a man with dementia.)

Carlson’s conclusion didn’t arise because the polls show that the basement-dwelling Biden, who’s trotted out every few days to prove he’s still alive, is soaring in the polls. After all, voters remember 2016 and Hillary’s lead. Carlson did observe that the Trump team is worried, but that wasn’t driving Carlson’s pessimism.

I have seen how Whites “repent” slavery

Progressivism seems to be a contagious mental illness. Remember China’s Cultural Revolution only 50 years ago? It was just the same. Op-ed.

By Giulio Meotti, INN

In China the “cultural revolution” began with the destruction of the pianos, torn to pieces (often together with the pianists). Then the violins (and the hands of the violinists). The music of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and all the other dirty “bourgeois ideologists” was then forbidden.

Young people plundered the temples, knocked down the beautiful statues of Chinese antiquity and finished them off with a hammer.

Citizens suspected of “revisionism” brought out to the streets. It was no longer possible to go out into the streets of Beijing without meeting men and women with signs proclaiming “I am a landlord” on their chest.

Opera singers were sent to the countryside. The Forbidden Imperial City, the Temple of Heaven, was transformed into an encampment and a curtain of red paint was spread over many of its paintings. All churches were barred.

White House punts on Israel annexation; more talks planned

T. Belman. I believe this is fake news. It is fear mongering.  If you ignore the so-called opposition and relegate it to impotent posturing, you are left with a lot of positive signs and reasoning that says all the ducks are lined up and Netanyahu is ready to shoot.

(Debbie Hill/Pool Photo via AP, File)

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s top national security aides have been unable to reach a decision on whether to support an Israeli plan to annex significant parts of land the Palestinians claim for a future state, an impasse that could affect the timing of any action by Prime Minister Benjaimin Netanyahu.

The White House said Thursday that consultations with Israeli officials will continue as they try to formulate a proposal that would support Trump’s plan for an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal.

Black Lives Matter Leader: ‘If This Country Doesn’t Give Us What We Want, Then We Will Burn Down This System’ (VIDEO)

By Cristina Laila, GATEWAY PUNDIT

Black Lives Matter greater New York Chair Hawk Newsome issued what many have interpreted as a terroristic threat during his appearance on Fox News Wednesday evening.

Mr. Newsome told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that if Black Lives Matter doesn’t get what they want, they will burn the system down.

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.. I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation.” said Newsome.

Sowing the Sixties Winds, Reaping Today’s Whirlwind

Today’s disorder reflects just how successful the leftist “long march through the institutions” has been.

By Bruce Thornton, FPM

From one perspective, the surreal absurdity of the current protests, vandalism, and riots is not even close to the disruption and mayhem of the political violence in the Sixties and Seventies. We have not yet seen the kidnappings, murders of judges, and scores of bombings that roiled that era. In 1967 alone there were 159 riots, and in the Seventies 14 people were killed and 600 wounded by politically motivated bombings.

But what’s going on today is more dangerous, for the ideologies driving the disorder reflect just how successful the leftist “long march through the institutions” has been at corrupting American education and culture over the last half a century. As a result, ideas and behaviors that by consensus were out of bounds then, have now been normalized and abetted by civic leaders and politicians, as well as popular culture, schools, and even sports.

This is not the French Revolution

It is the acting out of spoiled, ignorant and ungrateful thugs

By Patricia McCarthy, AMERICAN THINKER

As Americans watch some of our major cities ravaged by rioting, looting and the vandalization or destruction of monuments to our nation’s past with impunity, it is, for those of us of a certain age, a moment to reflect on the depredations of the French Revolution. But let us not be confused by the differences.

The French Revolution took its cues from our own Revolutionary War for independence from England but theirs went all wrong.  The devastatingly poor of Paris were well and truly abused by the Parisian aristocracy.  They were treated as less than human.

Of course, the British aristocracy thought the same of the American colonists, but they were by an ocean removed and the colonists were made of sterner stuff than the Brits sent to defeat them for England.

It will be OK

By Victor Rosenthal

Israelis are sometimes criticized for saying “yehiye b’seder” [it will be OK] without sufficiently considering the consequences. But there is such a thing as decision paralysis, when you can’t act because you never feel that you have enough information. Sometimes that’s worse than a less-than-perfect decision. I think the opponents of Israel’s application of civilian law to parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley are trying hard to induce decision paralysis.

Today (Wednesday) there is supposed to be a meeting in the White House at which Trump Administration officials reportedly will decide whether to green-light the move. Of course it will be a good thing if the US recognizes Israel’s action, especially if that means that it will issue an official statement that Jewish communities outside the Green Line are part of Israel.

Is it America’s turn to have a revolution

If revolutions could happen in Russia, China, Germany and Italy, in the last century, they can happen in the USA.

By Ted Belman

Since Trump’s inauguration, I have assumed that a second term is assured. What with all the walk away movements taking their toll and with Candace Owens almost singlehandedly moving the black vote in favour of Trump (i.e., from 8% to 40%). With his great accomplishments, which include record low unemployment numbers for minorities, record highs in the stock market, his prison reform and funding of black universities, etc., etc., I became complacent. Why shouldn’t I have, considering his opponent was Sleepy Joe.

No longer.  I have been looking at his chances through rose-colored glasses and haven’t learned anything from what I have been seeing during the last three months.

Recently the “idiot” AOC recently won her primary in a landslide. Although centrists spent a lot of money to dethrone her, their money and message was not sufficient to thwart the juggernaut that propelled her to victory.

Joe Biden has a 14-point lead over US President Donald Trump ahead of the November election as some Republican-leaning voters reproach Trump for his response to the coronavirus crisis, a poll showed Wednesday.

In one of Trump’s worst poll showings for the 2020 race, the Democrat Biden garnered 50 percent of the vote compared with 36% for the president, according to a survey by the New York Times and Siena College.

Recent polls have found Biden 10 points ahead of the president on average.
