The co-chairman of the defense committee in Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava) has signaled his readiness to destroy terrorists based in the east of the Euphrates and in northern Syria as a whole.

Rezan Gilo, the joint chief of defense in Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava), has told Sputnik that the international coalition led by the US is building new bases in northern Syria.

“Yes, the international coalition is building new bases in Manbij, and it is connected with military plans. … Be it US bases or French ones, we are interacting with it [the coalition] rather than the countries. In general, the construction of bases is underway in northern Syria, especially in the east of the Euphrates,” Gilo said.

US builds up forces in northern Syria, Kurds say ‘Coalition is here for Turks’

US builds up forces in northern Syria, Kurds say â??Coalition is here for Turksâ?? (VIDEO)

The US has apparently sent more troops to the Kurdish-held regions of northern Syria and has established new outposts in the area. Local Kurdish militias believe the Americans have come to help them fend off a Turkish offensive.

“This base is of the [US-led] Coalition… It was established to counterattack the Turkish threat. The Coalition is here for the Turks,” one Kurdish fighter, identified as the “Sheikh of the Mountain,” told Ruptly video news agency. He was speaking about one of the US outposts set up not far from the northern Syrian city of Manbij, which is now controlled by the US-backed Kurdish militias. Earlier, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated that Ankara plans to target Manbij in its operation against the Kurds in northern Syria.

At least 150 murdered in suspected chemical attack by Damascus on Douma

The Syrian government has been accused of carrying out a chemical attack, using two types of gases, in Douma. While Damascus has denied the allegations, the US said that if the reports are confirmed, the international community will need to react immediately.

Several Syrian rebel groups and humanitarian organizations accused Damascus of carrying out a massive chemical attack in Douma on Saturday evening. The groups also flooded social media with graphic images and footage of the victims. The Syrian government has denied that it launched a chemical attack on the city.

“Seventy people suffocated to death and hundreds are still suffocating,” Raed al-Saleh, the head of the Syrian aid agency White Helmets, told Al Jazeera. According to al-Saleh, chlorine gas and a stronger gas that has yet to be identified were dropped on the city in Eastern Ghouta.

German Police Union Calls for Anti-Semitic, Migrant Parents to Give Up Their Children

By Simon Kent, BREITBART

Sean Gallup/Getty Images

Schoolyard anti-Semitism is becoming so prevalent in Germany that authorities should be allowed to take children away from anti-Semitic parents, a senior police offical said.

“Authorities need to act decisively [against anti-Semitism] including when the aggression comes from migrants,” Rainer Wendt, head of the German Police Union (DPolG) told the Augsburger Allgemeine.

“If children are raised to become anti-Semites we shouldn’t be afraid to take them away from their families,” he added.

The Summit Meeting In Ankara Between Russia, Turkey, Iran: What It Means For The Region

T. Belman. Could it be that Trump announced the pullout by the end of the year to force an alliance between Saudi Arabia et al and Israel? Saudi Arabia would have no one else to depend on.

Secondly, Trump and his advisors are debating whether ISIS is finished. All seem to look no further. And they don’t talk about Iran. I find this odd. Trump has been clear that He intends to push Iran back and to prevent them from getting the bomb. How does his withdrawal help that agenda.

By Melik Kaylan, FORBES

The leaders of Russia, Turkey and Iran convened for a summit in Ankara on April 4 ostensibly to discuss Syria. (Putin, Erdogan and Rouhani). Most pundits noted two salient inferences, that the US was conspicuously absent and the conclave would lead to nothing longterm since the countries involved had divergent goals in Syria. Ergo the whole thing served as little more than a grand photo-op. Which is perfectly accurate but grievously incomplete as a functional assessment of the summit’s purpose and outcomes. It’s true that realities on the ground make it almost impossible for any single actor or combination of them to resolve the overarching puzzle of Syria. Still convergences of interest do exist between the three participants and outcomes there will be.

How has Israel has become a global TV powerhouse?

Israel at 70 has rocketed from a tiny, unheard of TV market to a go-to country for innovative and original programming.

BY Amy Spiro, JPOST

Getting five Hollywood honchos into one room is a rare and impressive feat.

And on a sunny afternoon last month, that room was at the YMCA in Jerusalem.

Believe it or not, the heads of programming at HBO, Showtime, Fox and Turner – which runs TBS and TNT – all sat down along with the head of the TV department at talent agency William Morris Endeavor on a stage in Jerusalem in March.

That rare meeting is a symbol of the ever-growing power and influence of the Israeli TV market.

Israel has an obvious right to prevent its obliteration

By James Jay Carafano, CFP

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Should the U.S. forbid Israel from attacking Iran if it feels the extremist regime in Tehran is about to obliterate it?

Of course not.  We have no right to do so, and such a ban would be flatly unenforceable.

Israel’s trigger finger has good reason to be itchy.  The Israelis always doubted that Obama’s deal with the mullahs would prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear breakout state, and now even that dicey deal is on the ropes.

The Trump Administration has delivered a “fix or nix” ultimatum to our European partners.  If they don’t work with us to close loopholes that leave Tehran a potential nuclear menace, Trump will pull out of the deal. And if they do close the loopholes, Tehran will likely walk.  Either way, the threat of a nuclear Iran remains.

Israel Turns the Corner on Protecting Its Sovereignty

By Caroline B Glick, BREITBART

Monday may have been a turning point in the global battle between the forces of nationalism and national self-determination on the one hand, and the forces pushing for a post-nationalist world with open borders on the other.

While most eyes were on the U.S., where President Donald Trump used his Twitter feed to force the Mexican government to prevent a “caravan” of approximately 1,100 migrants from Central America from approaching the northern border, an even greater drama was unfolding in Israel.

Whereas Trump’s efforts are directed towards stopping the flow of illegal migrants across America’s porous southern border, in Israel the flow of illegal aliens into its territory from Africa has already been stopped.

The Secret to Successful Arab Modernization is to Stop Hating Israel

Saudi Arabia’s main reason to normalize relations with the Jewish state is not strategic but sociological

By Lee Smith, TABLET

In the middle of Mohammed bin Salman’s two-week trip across America seeking investment and advice, from tech innovators in Palo Alto to New York rabbis, for his blueprint for his country’s future, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia made news—maybe history. In an interview with the Atlantic Magazine’s Jeffrey Goldberg publishedMonday, the man known as MBS said that he personally recognized the legitimacy of Zionism.

“I believe that each people, anywhere, has a right to live in their peaceful nation,” said the Saudi royal. “I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land. But we have to have a peace agreement to assure the stability for everyone and to have normal relations.”

The torture of a Jewish child

T. Belman. If this is legal, the law is an ass. The only justification of torture is to save lives which are imminently in peril. No such thing was happening here. There was no justification for this torture.

The prosecution has no evidence that the two Jewish defendants have any connection to this crime. They have confessions which the Shabak admits it obtained after mercilessly torturing those young Jewish boys for two weeks.

By Boaz Shapiro, INN

What is currently happening in Israel is inconceivable. The Jewish world is silent as two Jewish boys have been brutally tortured and subsequently incarcerated for over two years.

I am referring to the so-called “Duma affair”. I will not delve into the legal aspects of this case. The evidence for the defendants’ guilt is perceived as fictitious and baseless by many.. I will instead focus on the human dimension…. on the severe, unrelenting pain of parents and children who are tormented by unspeakable and intractable human suffering.

Poland’s Perpetual Pogroms

By Tabitha Korol

In this post-Holocaust era, the Polish government is denying any complicity with the German Nazi war machine. Rather, it claims to have accepted European Jewry throughout history and sustained equal oppression by the Nazi invaders. But such denial can be a deadly form of deception.

Jewish immigration into Poland began with their expulsion from Spain and through the Crusades, as evidenced through archaeological coins of the 10th and 11th centuries brought by Jewish merchants who found refuge.  Jews were welcomed to restore and replace Poland’s serious losses from the Mongol Invasion of 1241, and to increase the townships’ commercial growth.  During times of harmony, the Jews contributed to the country’s economic growth through trade, crafts, and agriculture.  They were used by Polish nobility to colonize new territories and partner in business enterprises.  They participated in all levels of social and political life, created entire villages, and furthered the trade of Polish wheat, textiles and distillations for those of wine, cloth, dyes and luxury goods.  Their culture, their Yiddish language, many newspapers, literature and theater flourished, although their survival was often secured by the increased government taxes (sometimes as high as 70%).

Turkey says France could become ‘target’ for backing Syria Kurds

By Tuvan Gumrukcu, REUTERS

ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey said on Friday that a French pledge to help stabilize a region of northern Syria controlled by Kurdish-dominated forces amounted to support for terrorism and could make France a “target of Turkey”.

French backing for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), spearheaded by the Kurdish YPG militia, has angered Ankara at a time when it is fighting the YPG in northern Syria and considers it a terrorist organization.

President Tayyip Erdogan said France had taken a “completely wrong approach” on Syria, adding that he exchanged heated words with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, last week.

The split with France is the latest rift between Turkey under Erdogan and its NATO allies in the West.

The heavy price of Israeli generousity

No good deed extended to Palestinians goes unpunished.

By Mordechai Nisan, FPM

Although some stubborn Israelis won’t agree, Israel is really to blame for the absence of peace with the Palestinians.  This is not to say Israel is also guilty for the war with the Palestinians, though people might mistakenly think so, considering the recent killing of 18 Palestinians in Gaza who were engaged in a pseudo-civilian invasion of Israeli territory on March 30.

The real story is clear but generally misreported or unreported by the fake news outlets: Israel’s wanton concessions, innumerable gestures of good-will, and wide range of assistance that have all failed since the 1993 Oslo Accord to bring peace with the Palestinians.  Israel withdrew from all of the Gaza Strip and parts of Judea and Samaria in the spirit of “territories for peace.” Facing Palestinians with their battery of terrorists and rock-throwing youth, knife-stabbers and arsonists, food-poisoners and maniacs crashing their vehicles into soldiers and pedestrians, Israel often showed undue indulgence where iron-clad firmness would have been expected and justified.

Our fair weathered Saudi friend

For now, we have a Saudi ally in the young crown prince. So long as no one in Israel loses his head, and no one in Saudi Arabia exploits the alliance to chop off Muhammad’s head.

By Caroline B Glick, JPOST

Have we entered a new period of sweetness and light with our Arab neighbors? On Monday The Atlantic published an interview the magazine’s editor Jeffrey Goldberg conducted with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Hours after its publication, the responses began pouring in.

The basic line, repeated by all major newspapers, is that the Saudi crown prince recognized Israel’s right to exist. Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt gushed about it on his Twitter feed.

Referring to the interview as “amazing,” Greenblatt wrote that “all should watch [Muhammad bin Salman].

Why Leaving Syria Early Would Be a Disaster

By Mathew Brodsky, NATIONAL REVIEW

If we are to protect America’s interests and those of its Middle Eastern allies, we can’t cede the region to Iranian proxies. The Trump administration’s confused messaging on Syria reflects a confused policy, in which strategy and objectives are not aligned to achieve an outcome that serves America’s best interest. During a speech in Ohio last week, President Trump indicated that, having nearly reached the goal of destroying ISIS, he would be pulling out the 2,000 or so U.S. troops from Syria in the near future. “Let the other people take care of it now,” he declared. “Very soon, very soon, we’re coming out.” Other reports indicate that he’s been contemplating such a move with top aides since mid-February.

ZOA Action Alert- Urge Fox News: Fire Geraldo Rivera for His Supporting Massacre of Jews by Second Intifada

Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) President Morton A. Klein released the following statement:

The Zionist Organization of America is calling upon Fox News to immediately fire commentator Geraldo Rivera for his horrendous statements on “The Five” show on Friday March 30, supporting the Second Intifada massacre of thousands of Jews and the maiming of thousands more.

Geraldo stated that he regrets not supporting the Palestinians in the murderous Second Intifada against Israeli Jews in 2002, saying:  “I regret in 2002 backing down from backing the Palestinians in their conflict with Israel, the Second Intifada. . . . I regret chickening out after 2002.”   (The video and transcript of Geraldo’s comments is at “Geraldo Rivera: I Regret Not Backing the Palestinians During Their Intifada,” by Aaron, Breitbart, Apr. 1, 2018 – See video minutes 27 through 29.)

Trump eyes Syria pullout as advisers warn of hard work ahead

T. Belman. I thought Trump was committed to pushing Iran back and to prevent it from developing the bomb. What gives here?

“It’s time” to end mission that is “very costly for our country and it helps other countries a helluva lot more than it helps us,” says president, although his team strongly advises against hasty withdrawal • Trump reportedly asks Saudis for $4 billion.

News Agencies and Israel Hayom Staff

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he wants to “get out” of Syria, even as his advisers warned of the hard work left to defeat Islamic State and stabilize areas recaptured from the terrorist group in the war-torn country.

Trump told a news conference the United States would “not rest until ISIS is gone,” but also suggested that victory is imminent.

The Pentagon and State Department have held that a longer-term U.S. effort is needed to ensure that Islamic State’s defeat is a lasting one.

“It’s time,” Trump told reporters when asked if he was inclined to withdraw U.S. forces from Syria.
