Why President Trump’s Executive Order on the Muslim Brotherhood Grants the Group the Legitimacy It Seeks

Peloni:  Very Important Article. Pretending that there are two sides to Evil is how we come to strengthen it in our own societies.  Notably, among those castigated as the bad, or outlawed, chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood, do not include the allies which Trump has found in Turkey and Qatar.  Are we to accept that this is mere chance?  Are we to ignore the role these powers have come to support terrorism around the world, terrorism which Trump himself once announced would no longer be tolerated?  The implications of this process which supports these regimes exposes the real purpose of this move, which is not to eradicate the Muslim Brotherhood but to normalize it, as if it seeks greater integration into the collapsing West.

A Critical Analysis of a Geopolitical Miscalculation

Khaled Hassan | The Grand Strategy | Nov 25, 2025

On 24 November 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order titled “Designation of Certain Muslim Brotherhood Chapters as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists.” This order initiates a formal process to evaluate and potentially designate specific chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood—a transnational Islamist organisation founded in Egypt in 1928—as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs). The move targets chapters in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, accusing them of fuelling terrorism, supporting groups like Hamas, and destabilising U.S. interests in the Middle East, particularly in the wake of the 7 October 2023 attacks on Israel.

Washington Finally Takes on the Muslim Brotherhood

Peloni:  The attempt to take on the Muslim Brotherhood in a piece-wise fashion defies the need to recognize that the ideological intent of this Jihadist movement is intended to consume the West, and not just those chapters which the US administration has deemed unacceptable.

Mark Dubowitz & Matiam Wahba | Nov 24, 2025

After weeks of hinting that a major policy shift was imminent, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order (EO) on November 24 directing the State and Treasury Departments to begin the process of designating components of the Muslim Brotherhood as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs).

Mudar Zahran: A New Sheriff In Town

Mudar Zahran

A new sheriff is in town. President Trump issues an Executive Order directing the designation of the Muslim Brotherhood and several of its branches in Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists.

The Order states that the group’s activities in Jordan after October 7 are tied to its support for Hamas.

The Order also requires the Departments of State and Treasury to submit reports within 30 days in preparation for actions against the organization.

‘No Issues’ for Jews in Saudi Arabia: Rabbi Herzog on growing openness and Israel normalization prospects

Peloni:  Rabbi Herzog is completely correct.  The obtuse manner in which Israel and the US have consistently defined the import of SA normalization provided the Saudis with the greater hand to play, as I have noted previously.  Negotiations require knowing how to negotiate, and the Saudis have always been great masters at negotiating, and it seems nothing has changed in this regard.  Israeli leadership should study the Saudis and change their tactics because not openly defining what Israel wanted from the Saudis was one of the most important reasons why they don’t have it currently.

Rabbi Jacob Herzog.  Image via X

Rabbi Jacob Israel Herzog, founder of Saudi Arabia’s first Chabad House, says that for the kingdom, normalization with Israel is a diplomatic rather than a religious issue – and that for Jews in Saudi Arabia, “there are no problems.”

“We’re going to have a deal. They’re going to purchase F-35s. They’re buying them from Lockheed, and it’s a great plane,” stated U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week during the visit from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This news should alarm every American and all friends of Israel.

The Death Penalty for Terrorists & Other Assassins

by Sha’i ben-Tekoa

Before the savagery of Tishrei 22, 5784, a.k.a. October 7, 2023, there were some 500 gentile Jew-killers behind bars in Israel sentenced to life imprisonment, provided with a healthy diet, leisure time, free medical care. How many are there now after Israel agreed to give hundreds of them the Yahya Sinwar treatment by letting them go free to murder Jews again, only Israel’s Prison Service knows for sure.

Geographers, centuries ago, prove fake Palestinian theorists to be utterly wrong.

BARRY SHAW | Nov 23, 2025

Author Adriani Relandi was a geographer, cartographer, traveller, philologist.
He understood many languages, including Arabic, Ancient Greek and Hebrew.
He described nearly 2,500 settlements mentioned in the Bible, and made an approximate census according to settlements.
His book, written in Latin in 1695, describes the region called Palestine at that time and is instructive to us today.

He wrote:

Among the most recent updates in the current Gaza war is Hamas challenging Israel’s justification for its latest carefully targeted airstrikes.

Dozens at the ‘Awakening Vigil’ Outside of the Cabinet Meeting: Sovereignty or a Palestinian State.

Peloni:  On Sunday, a number of Right-wing organizations gathered outside an Israeli cabinet meeting to protest a UN Security Council resolution promoting Palestinian statehood. The vigil was led by the Sovereignty Movement and included participation of Israel is Forever, the Legal Forum for Israel, the Tekuma Movement, and the Pulse of Israel.  Additionally, it also featured Knesset members, including MK Limor Son Har-Melech, MK Simcha Rothman, and MK Ohad Tal among others.  They calls for the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria were made to obviate any attempt at legitimizing Palestinian statehood.  Speakers emphasized that any concessions could enable terror and undermine Israel’s existence, reinforcing the idea that Israel must assert its sovereignty over its historical lands without compromise.

It took 100 years, but the Vatican has finally agreed to surrender a kayak and other cultural artifacts that it stole from indigenous Canadian tribes for use in Pope Pius XI’s “Vatican Missionary Exposition” in 1925.

I begin with news of a stabbing and ramming terror attack which occurred at the Gush Etzion Junction. Aharon Cohen, 65, a veteran resident of Kiryat Arba, was killed. One woman was seriously injured; a man and a boy were moderately injured. This junction has been the site of numerous attacks over time.

THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESULUTION: Gaza, Jerusalem, Baku, Washington, Ankara and Riyad.

Peloni:  Many important topics covered by Gadi Taub and Mike Doran.  One of the most important is Doran’s assertion that someone “very, very, very close to Trump” informs him that Trump is not listening to Netanyahu about the threat from Turkey.  Doran believes that Turkey was responsible for Hamas releasing the hostages, and that Trump consequently sees Turkey as having an important role to play in Trump’s new security arrangement in the Middle East.  This part of the conversation is at about the 20 minute mark.

Trump’s 21 Point Peace Plan

Peloni:  US pressure on Ukraine has routinely been met with intransigence, but with front lines collapsing, and no resolution in sight for Ukraine’s increasingly problematic deficiencies of men, munitions and morale, no matter what Zelensky tries to affect, the reality of Ukraine’s desperate situation is not going away.

Stephen Bryen | Weapons &  Strategy | Nov 22, 2025

The US has proposed a 21 point peace plan for Ukraine. The administration has told Ukraine they have until Thanksgiving (Nov. 25) to accept the plan. There is little likelihood Zelensky will accept the plan as it is, but he may offer various amendments to sow confusion and force delays. The US has threatened to pull all its support from Ukraine if Ukraine does not agree.

Qatar pumped over $20 billion into US universities to aid Muslim Brotherhood plan to destroy West from within

Peloni:  I agree with Janet’s comment below.  Beyond hope and prayers, I have nothing but questions with no reasonable answers on this topic.  From the failure to address Qatar’s support of antisemitic protests, to the continuing unrestrained Qatar based antisemitic Al Jazeera, to the development of a UN resolution which certifies the French-Saudi declaration including Pal Right of Return.  I would love to be wrong, but at some point the 4D Chess has to have some form of indication that everything is not going sideways.  So far, I see nothing to support this hope.

Janet Levy:  On September 9th, Israel bombed high-level Hamas operatives sheltering in Doha. Three weeks later, Trump issued an executive order promising military support for Qatar in response to such incidents. The September 29th order equated an attack against Qatar with an attack on the U.S. It read, “In the event of such an attack, the United States shall take all lawful and appropriate measures — to defend the interests of the United States and of the State of Qatar and to restore peace and stability,”

Trump describes Qatar as a close ally and important economic partner. Yet, Doha has invested over $20 billion in American universities to support the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan to undermine the West.

Supporters say Trump is playing “4D Chess” and that his actions are part of a brilliant master plan. It looks more like Russian Roulette or Ouija to me!

If only there had been someone around who had warned Americans about a captured internal Muslim Brotherhood document that states: “The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

For such a time as this: Two priorities for conservatives and the GOP

The dispute roiling the political right needs to be briefly and simply addressed, without elaborate discussions into which endless causes for dispute can be interpolated.  Obfuscating the matter that way is the worst thing for the right.  Everyone from Vice President Vance to Kevin Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation, to legacy media and hundreds (or who knows, thousands) of social media users has been engaging vigorously with the obfuscating factors of personalities and feelings, exaggerated depictions of the arguments of others, and elliptical allusions that provoke further rounds of exaggeration in the search for honest definitions.
