The Oslo Disaster

By Prof. Efraim Karsh, BESA,

Nobel-Arafat-Peres-Rabin
Mideast Security and Policy Studies No. 123

Prof. Efraim Karsh, the incoming director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, skewers the Oslo diplomatic process as “the starkest strategic blunder in Israel’s history” and as “one of the worst calamities ever to have afflicted Israelis and Palestinians.”

“Twenty three years after its euphoric launch on the White House lawn,” Karsh writes in this comprehensive study, “the Oslo ‘peace process’ has substantially worsened the position of both parties and made the prospects for peace and reconciliation ever more remote.”

Islam is not a civilization

By Prof. Paul Eidelberg, President, Israel-America Renaissance Institute,

We need a politically incorrect and radically new multi-disciplinary and multinational understanding of Islam.

To speak of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the “three Abrahamic faiths” or as the “three religions of the Book,” or, more significantly, as the “three monotheisms,” obscures rather than illuminates. These familiar tropes, says theologian George Weigel, ought to be retired.

The eminent French scholar Alain Besançon agrees. He writes,

“The Abraham of Genesis is not the Ibrahim of the Qur’an; Moses is not Moussa. As for Jesus, he appears, as Issa, out of place and out of time, without reference to the landscape of Israel. His mother, Mary, or Mariam, identified as the sister of Aaron, gives birth to him under a palm tree. Then Issa performs several miracles, which seem to have been drawn from the apocryphal gospels, and announces the future coming of Muhammad.”

MUSLIM TERRORISTS AND JEWISH ANTI-SEMITES AGAINST TRUMP

Moderate Saudi businessmen who fund terror warn of Trump’s “extremism.”

By Daniel Greenfield, FPM

“I was often the ‘designated yeller.’”

That’s how Hillary Clinton described her relationship with the Israeli prime minister. Yelling and cursing was her particular specialty.

One marathon Hillary yelling session allegedly lasted 45 minutes. Afterward the Israeli ambassador said that relations between the United States and Israel had reached their lowest point.

Her favorite name for Netanyahu was, “F____ Bibi.”

But it wasn’t just about her hatred of any particular Israeli leader. The same year that Hillary was yelling herself hoarse at a man who had fought terrorists on the battlefield, she addressed the American Task Force on Palestine, a leading terror lobby, and blasted Israel and praised Islamic terrorists.

SERVING MUSLIM INTERESTS WITH AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY

By Joseph Klein, FPM

A Hillary Clinton presidency would likely continue along the pro-Islamist foreign policy arc that both her husband’s administration and the Obama administration have developed.

President Bill Clinton committed U.S. military resources to help Muslims during the so-called “humanitarian” intervention in Bosnia. However, he chose to turn a blind eye to the genocide that swamped Rwanda during his administration. As G. Murphy Donovan wrote in his American Thinker article “How the Clintons Gave American Foreign Policy its Muslim Tilt,” “Muslim lives matter, Black Africans, not so much.” Noting that “it was Muslim unrest that precipitated Serb pushback, civil war, and the eventual collapse of Yugoslavia,” Donovan added, “Bosnians are, for the most part, Muslims with a bloody fascist pedigree.”

Nevertheless, with no strategic U.S. national interest at stake, Bill Clinton tilted American foreign policy in favor of the Muslim side in the Bosnia conflict. We are now reaping the lethal consequences of that tilt. Donovan points out in his article that, on a per capita basis, Bosnia Herzegovina is the leading source of ISIS volunteers in all of Europe.

Netanyahu weighs World Criminal Court prosecutors’ request for Israel, West Bank visit

T. Belman. This investigation should not be taking place. It is only political pressure on the independent ICC that is causing it. To get a full understanding of the law, visit Israel, the International Criminal Court & Universal Jurisdiction

ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda’s office has requested a visit in the context of a preliminary inquiry into Palestinian complaints about the 2014 Gaza war and settlement building, Israeli officials say.

By Barak Ravid, HAARETZ

Israel is weighing the possibility of permitting representatives of the prosecution of the International Criminal Court to visit Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the coming weeks, senior officials in Jerusalem told Haaretz.

The visit would be in the context of a preliminary inquiry into Palestinian complaints against Israel’s 2014 Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, and settlement construction in the West Bank, according to the officials, who requested anonymity due to the issue’s sensitivity.

The real meaning of the Czech Republic’s treachery regarding Jerusalem

Calling Tel Aviv the capital of Israel means much more than meets the eye.

A small, unimportant-looking article appeared in an obscure spot on one of the inner pages of a weekly newspaper this week, reporting the fact that the Czech Republic, having decided that Tel Aviv is the capital of Israel, will be presenting it as such in its history texts and atlases. The impetus for the change, the article further added, was pressure from the Palestinian Arab envoy in Prague. Israel’s Foreign Ministry is working to change the decision.

The Czech decision follows a similar one by UNESCO which claimed in April of this year that the Temple Mount belongs to Muslims – and only Muslims – and that its name is the El Aqsa Mosque.

Trump’s views on Russia challenge America’s foreign policy identity

Donald Trump is challenging a fundamental notion at the core of American identity – the role of the U.S. as an unchallenged global leader able to intervene anywhere in the world in the name of democracy.

By Andrei Tsygankov, RUSSIA DIRECT

The American debate about Russia and its role in the U.S. elections is about more than a single event – the purported hacking of Democratic National Committee servers by Russian intelligence services. And the debate goes beyond the traditional narrative of “Russian aggression” encountered in past U.S. elections. Increasingly, the debate reflects a growing debate over American identity and the future of the country’s foreign policy.

Report: UN-backed groups promote ‘destruction of Israel’, terrorism

WORLD TRIBUNE

Advocacy groups supported by the United Nations are condoning terrorism and promoting the “destruction of Israel,” a report said.

“Bigots, anti-Semites, and terrorist advocates” within the UN are “spreading hatred and inciting violence,” according to a report issued by Human Rights Voices, a group that monitors bias at the UN, and the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust.

“Most striking for an organization founded on the ashes of the Holocaust, the UN enables its accredited NGOs [non-governmental organizations] to play a central role in promoting modern anti-Semitism,” the report states.

The consequences of a failed Palestinian Authority.

The consequences of a failed Palestinian Authority.Get set for the PA October 8th elections, unless Abbas finds a way to cancel them.

By Barry Shaw, INN

A month ago I wrote an article entitled ‘The Failed State of the Two-State Solution.’ In it, I wrote that “by the ballot or by the ballot Hamas will head any Palestinian state as they did when Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005.”

So what has happened in the short time since I released that article?

In Nablus, on August 27, an estimated 120,000 protesters demonstrated against the Palestinian Authority after an Arab was beaten to death by PA security men. Many called for an international investigation into the murder as the Palestinian Authority threatened to arrest some of the leaders of the protest march. The town of Nablus has been described as being in “total anarchy.”

Why Did Tolkien Care About the Jews?

By David P Goldman, PJ MEDIA

In the current issue of Commentary my friend Rabbi Meir Soloveichik discusses J.R.R. Tolkien’s fascination with the Jews, who are of course the Dwarves in theHobbit and The Lord of the Rings, as Tolkien himself stated in a 1971 BBC interview. Tolkien was no anti-Semite (not, at least, according to the canonical definition, namely someone who hates the Jews more than is absolutely necessary). His views in The Hobbit were typical of the philo-Semites of the 1930s: the Jews/Dwarves are “calculating folk with a great idea of the value of money; some are tricky and treacherous and pretty bad lots; some are not, but are decent enough people…if you don’t expect too much.”

A Jewish Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

T. Belman.  Eidelberg wants to annex all the land but rejects the solutions offered by Glick and Sherman as “not viable”.  Instead he wants to entice more Jews to Israel and to offer them cheap land in J&S if they settle there. Rather than spend $300 billion to compensate Arabs to leave, spend a fraction of it to induce Jews to come. Making Israel more Jewish will result in a steady emigration of Arabs.

To accomplish this he recommends that Israel adopt a presidential system as in the US.

By Prof Paul Eidelberg

I. Since the nostrums of political analysts like Martin Sherman and Caroline Glick do not provide a viable method of ridding Israel of its permanent internal enemy, the Muslim-Arabs west of the Jordan, I am here updating the “Jewish Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict” which I proposed on Israel National Radio on November 16, 2009.

II. Israel has been ruled by timid, bogus “realists” since her stunning victory in the 1967 Six Day War. As a result of that war, Israel repossessed Judea and Samaria, which had (and still has) a large Muslim-Arab population. Since this hostile population was permitted to remain on Jewish land, and since its expulsion was not, and is not, in the cards, the Government does not know what to do with these Jew-killing disciples of Mohammad.

Column One: Obama’s greatest achievement

On August 4, during the course of a press conference, Obama gave his interim assessment of his nuclear agreement with Iran. “It worked,” he insisted.

By Caroline b. Glick, JPOST

Barack Obama

The time for complaining about President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran has passed. The time has come to overcome the damage enormous damage his signature foreign policy accomplishment has caused.

To understand why this is the case, it is important to understand the breadth and depth of Obama’s failure.

Explosion in Cape Canaveral destroyed Israel’s Amos 6 satellite

The loss of the Amos-6 satellite in Florida is ‘a very severe blow which could place the future of the industry in doubt’, said chairman of Israel Space Agency; next satellite —if there is a next one—three years away.

YNET NEWS

The loss of an Israeli communications satellite in a blast in Florida in which a SpaceX launcher exploded on Thursday, was a major blow to the Israeli communications satellite industry, Israel’s leading space official said.

The Amos-6 satellite, owned by Space Communications , was destroyed when an explosion destroyed a Falcon 9 rocket belonging to Elon Musk’s SpaceX during routine test firing at Cape Canaveral in Florida, two days before it had been due to blast off and place the satellite in orbit.

Liberman links Palestinian Sussiya with settler outpost Amona

T. Belman. Liberman worries me. What has “all the world” got to do with it in any event? After the State Department criticized us for announcing a few building plans, I raised the question of whether they had any rights to say what we should be doing east of the greenline.

Of course, they wrongfully claim that settlements are illegal. Or dubiously claim we agreed with them to cease settlement construction, but they have no legal authority to impose their will on us. The same goes for the UN whose only mandate is to keep the peace. Also the UN Charter pledges to maintain “the sovereign equality of all its Members,”

“It can’t be that all the world will come with one request for settlers in Amona and with a totally different request for those living in [Palestinian] Sussiya,” Liberman says.

Minister Avigdor Liberman visiting a school in Sussiya.

Defense Minister Avigdor Lberman linked the fate of the West Bank illegal Palestinian herding village of Sussiya with that of the settler outpost of Amona, when he visited the South Hebron Hills on the first day of school Thursday.

“Those who care about the rule of law have to respect our legal system,” he told middle school pupils in the Sussiya settlement.

Islam and the West’s Death by ‘Freedom’

T. Belman. When an IDF soldier killed a neutralized terrorist, for which he is now on trial for manslaughter, some IDF brass and MK’s said doing so is not in accordance with our values. I said “If so, it is time to change our values” and a large majority of Israelis agreed. Our laws and our values are only appropriate in normal times but when there is a threat to our civilization or an insurgency, it is time to man the barricades. Pres Lincoln suspended Habeus Corpus, PM Pierre Trudeau invoked martial law. During the cold war the Communist Party was banned.

Democracy is not a suicide pact.

Only a Pres Trump is prepared to do what is necessary. First things first.

Daniel Greenfield agrees. Why the Burkini Ban is Right

By Selwyn Duyke, AMERICAN THINKER

It can be a good thing to be idealistic. But you’d better make sure you have the right ideals. As to this, the modern West is quickly becoming something non-Western — precisely because our ideals are now far less than ideal.

It has often been noted that some among us use our freedoms to destroy our freedoms. George Soros, a real-life James Bond villain, comes to mind; other leftist entities such as the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center also qualify, as they sue Americans into shedding Americanism. Another example is a group they aid and abet: Muslim conquerors bent on winning the West for Dar al-Islam. And since this is not just an American phenomenon but a Western one, it has recently been addressed by a French academic — in strikingly blunt language.

The accelerating erosion of the post-Zionist Hebrew media

By Isi Liebler, WORD FROM JERUSALEM

Haaretz, Israel’s oldest Hebrew daily newspaper, was established in 1918 by a group of left-leaning businessmen. In 1937, Salman Schocken bought the newspaper and it was edited by his son Gershom until his death in 1990.

Although its circulation was never high when compared to the tabloids Maariv and Yedioth Ahronoth, it has for many years been regarded as the most influential intellectual newspaper in Israel with its readership including leading political and economic elites. It was considered a liberal newspaper although its economic section was conservative, and it published many outstanding feature articles.
