Celebrating a post October 7th Jerusalem Day Parade
Peloni: The shattering effect of October 7 changed the world, in ways which were both great and terrible. The quiet resolve supporting the Jerusalem Day celebrations is certainly to be counted among these. A powerful and important result of the sense of unity and identity which was previously far less universal than it stands today.
The parade, a long cherished part of the day’s celebration, was regarded with fear and loathing by the Left right through 2023. Now they are seen as teaching self-respect.

One way to gauge the change and difference the horrific October 7th massacre and the ensuing Swords of Iron war has made in contrast to the previous prevailing “conceptzia” is to consider the Jerusalem Day parade.

Peloni: The final statement in this report by Noem seems to highlight Trump’s need to restrain Bibi as he continues to push forward on his efforts of negotiating with the duplicitous Mullahs, while failing to appreciate that there is no good outcome to be had which keeps the Mullahs in power. Good for Bibi for providing some upstream pressure on what will be Trump’s greatest failure should he succeed in his attempts at a ‘better deal’.

The most recent phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump involved a heated exchange and exposed differences between the two leaders on how best to deal with the Iranian threat according to a report in Israel’s Channel 12 news.

Israel is a “Jewish and Democratic State”. What does it mean?

Martin Sherman in his seminal post, Distorting the Declaration, after noting that the protestors support the following David Horovitz’s, claim,
“Our Declaration of Independence promises that the State of Israel ‘will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture…’”
argued, that while this is true, it was misleading. He wrote and proved, “the focus of Israel’s Declaration of Independence is overwhelmingly on Jewish sovereignty and political independence in the ancestral Jewish homeland—not on liberal democratic governance” as the protestors would have you believe.

I noticed something years ago about class descriptions on college campuses. If a course’s subject matter included the word “war,” it was much more popular with students. A seminar on “organizational theory” might find a few takers; a seminar on “military organization and war planning” would attract too many students for most classrooms to hold. I asked a professor about this once, and he grinned slyly, reminding me that young professors who teach popular classes have greater career prospects. The observation struck me as a bit perverse.

Two-State Solution or Jordan Option? Your choice.
Peloni: Be sure to read thru the early comments which I and others made on this article below. The solution for the dilemma facing Israel today has long ago been described by Ted Belman, obm, and it remains so today. It is the Jordan Option, which only requires the US and Israel to act as if the Hashemites are a threat and that there is an alternative to them being maintained in power, one which is antithetical to the Islamist allied Hashemites, and that alternative is Mudar Zahran.

Pres Biden has come and gone with little to show for it. But he has, however, left some debris in his wake that will set the stage for Israel’s coming election.
While he reaffirmed his support for the Two-State Solution (TSS) he went on to say “the ground is not right at this moment to restart negotiations,” and,
”The two-state solution is still the best way to ensure peace and democracy for Israelis and Palestinians; however, I don’t see a near horizon for this solution.””
Both Prime Minister Lapid and Benny Gantz share that view. Lapid said ”A two-state solution is a guarantee for a strong, democratic State of Israel with a Jewish majority.”

The hatred and hunting of Jews must be faced and defeated. Jews who have the ability to arm themselves must take full advantage of training and protecting themselves, and the authorities must step up to provide their Jewish citizens with support and protection. But most of all, the citizens of the world must come to grips with knowing that they face a choice between living like civilized people or revisiting some of the darkest moments of world history as have be heralded by the rekindling of antisemitic fervor, which has made itself known in every age, but never before with such a resoundingly internationally global effect, as if from every corner of the world. In fact, it is the neighbors of the hunted and attacked Jews who will determine how successful and how well tolerated the current wave of global terrorism being raised against the Jewish people will come to be.
Switzerland, long seen as a bastion of peace and neutrality, now finds itself in turmoil. In a frightening escalation, a coalition of radical pro-Hamas agitators and their far-left useful idiot activists reportedly attempted to storm the main synagogue in Bern, to kill Jewish worshippers.
