I attended the JPOST Diplomatic Conference today that included a great line-up of speakers including PM Netanyahu, Bennett, Shaked, Glick, US Amb Shapiro, French Ambassador and the EU Ambassador.

JPOST has a short synopsis of each speech.

Here is the Netanyahu interview.

The international community must fight radical Islamic terrorism like it once fought the Nazis during World World II, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday during an interview with Jerusalem Post diplomatic correspondent Herb Keinon.

Our world: Radical Islam – the invisible enemy

Every day the US and its allies maintain their refusal to acknowledge that radical Islam exists.

By Caroline Glick, JPOST

clinton sandersAs the cleaning crews were mopping the dried blood from the stage and the seats of the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, a depressing act appeared on stage in distant Iowa.

Saturday night the three contenders for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination took to the stage in Iowa for a debate. The moderator asked them whether they would be willing to use the term “radical Islam” to describe the ideology motivating Islamic terrorists to massacre innocents. All refused.

Like her former boss, US President Barack Obama, former secretary of state and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton not only refused to accept the relevance of the term. Clinton refused to acknowledge what radical Islam stands for.

Ex-minister, Former Israeli Officers Propose Plan to Unilaterally Divide Jerusalem

T. Belman. This plan was actually agreed to by Ramon and a Palestinian negotiator in 2008 as part of the Annapolis process. Haim Ramon recently wrote “How to save Jewish Jerusalem. In my preface to the article I wrote:

I see no benefit to Israel retaining these lands as part of Jerusalem. Of course these people work in Jerusalem and will have to be allowed in through check points to work. A barrier must be constructed separating the parts we don’t want from the parts we do want.

All sides slam a new plan calling to erect a fence and transfer civil control over the capital’s Arab neighborhoods to the Palestinian Authority.

By Nir Hassan, HAARETZ

Former minister Haim Ramon and the Peace and Security Association intend to present a new and unilateral plan for the division of Jerusalem this week. The plan is scheduled to be launched in a festive ceremony that includes the laying of what is supposed to be the symbolic cornerstone for the new fence that will divide Jerusalem and transfer most of its Arab neighborhoods to the Palestinian Authority.

Europe’s Terrorist War at Home

Learn from Israel, end the open-borders policy, and dig in for a long war of ideas against Islamists.

By Ayaan Hirsi Ali, WSJ Nov. 15, 2015 5:27 p.m. ET

Ayaan-Hirsi-Ali3French President François Hollande declared the Nov. 13 terrorist attack in Paris an “act of war” by Islamic State, and he was right, if belated, in recognizing that the jihadists have been at war with the West for years. Islamic State, or ISIS, is vowing more attacks in Europe, and so Europe itself—not just France—must get on a war footing, uniting to do whatever it takes militarily to destroy ISIS and its so-called caliphate in Syria and Iraq. Not “contain,” not “degrade”—destroy, period.

But even if ISIS is completely destroyed, Islamic extremism itself will not go away. If anything, the destruction of ISIS would increase the religious fervor of those within Europe who long for a caliphate.

European leaders must make some major political decisions, and perhaps France can lead the way. A shift in mentality is needed to avoid more terror attacks on an even bigger scale and the resulting civil strife. Islamic extremists will never succeed in turning Europe into a Muslim continent. What they may well do is provoke a civil war so that parts of Europe end up looking like the Balkans in the early 1990s.

Why Islam Needs a Reformation

T. Belman. Hirsi Ali was interviewed by Megyn Kelly last night and she said We should learn from Israel rather than demonize her” or words to that effect.

Guliani was interviewed by Hannity and he indirectly made the case for the IDF remaining in Judea and Samaria. He said the the US should have kept the last 50,0000 American troops in Iraq. Because these troops through human intelligence kept the Islamists at bay. Had the troops remained there we wouldn’t have the destabilized Iraq and Syria we see today. Similarly, the presence of the IDF in J&S prevents destabilization there.

To defeat the extremists for good, Muslims must reject those aspects of their tradition that prompt some believers to resort to oppression and holy war

By AYAAN HIRSI ALI, WSJ

heretic“Islam’s borders are bloody,” wrote the late political scientist Samuel Huntington in 1996, “and so are its innards.” Nearly 20 years later, Huntington looks more right than ever before. According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, at least 70% of all the fatalities in armed conflicts around the world last year were in wars involving Muslims. In 2013, there were nearly 12,000 terrorist attacks world-wide. The lion’s share were in Muslim-majority countries, and many of the others were carried out by Muslims. By far the most numerous victims of Muslim violence—including executions and lynchings not captured in these statistics—are Muslims themselves.

Not all of this violence is explicitly motivated by religion, but a great deal of it is. I believe that it is foolish to insist, as Western leaders habitually do, that the violent acts committed in the name of Islam can somehow be divorced from the religion itself. For more than a decade, my message has been simple: Islam is not a religion of peace.

Hungary says no to settlement labeling and to mass immigration

Foreign Minister states opposition to “irrational” guidelines, in presence of top EU representatives.

By GREER FAY CASHMAN, JPOST

HungaryHungary will not place special labeling on products from the West Bank and the Golan Heights, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told a breakfast meeting of the Israel Council on Foreign Relations on Monday.

The minister characterized the European Union’s decision to affix special labels on such products as “irrational,” saying that it will not contribute to a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and it could cause more problems and damage.

Szijjártó, 37, began his political career in 1998 and has been a member of the National Assembly of Hungary since 2002. He was in Israel on a lightning 24 hour visit.

ISIS threatens in new video: After Paris, Washington is next

“We swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” ISIS declares in new video.

REUTERS, JPOST

CAIRO – Islamic State warned in a new video on Monday that countries taking part in air strikes against Syria would suffer the same fate as France, and threatened to attack in Washington.

The video, which appeared on a site used by Islamic State to post its messages, begins with news footage of the aftermath of Friday’s Paris shootings in which at least 129 people were killed.

The message to countries involved in what it called the “crusader campaign” was delivered by a man dressed in fatigues and a turban, and identified in subtitles as Al Ghareeb the Algerian.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” the man said.

Immigration: A Nation-Destroying Weapon of War!

T. Belman. This article is profound. The author reminds us that US immigration policy always gave a preference for immigrants based on nation of origin i.e., European countries. Pres Johnson deleted this requirement thereby opening up the gates to anyone. But other criteria allowed us to be selective. Now the immigration in Europe and America is indiscriminate. Secondly he makes the point that opponents of our current immigration policy or lack of it, focus on its economic impact. They avoid, like the plague, the argument that the EU and soon the US are destroying their cultures and they will soon be a minority in their own land. The solution he argues is to cut off all financial support to illegal immigrants and stop the indiscriminate flow.

By Frank Brady, Enough

Last night’s bloody terrorist attacks in Paris should send alarm bells ringing all across the county. It’s time for action.

Generations of Americans have been taught that state and nation mean the same thing. They do not. A state is a self-governing political entity. A nation is a tightly-knit group of people that share a common culture.

The American people have been deceived into believing that their political state (the United States) was under attack when, in fact, it is the nation’s culture and Western Civilization itself that is being systematically destroyed.

Is China a Friend of Israel?

Relations are robust now, but China’s imperial challenge to the liberal world order carries a warning for the Jewish state.

By Dan Blumenthal, MOSAIC

CHINA ISThe world order created by the United States is under great strain. Russia continues to change the territorial status quo in Europe and now in the Middle East; Iran competes with Islamic State for hegemony in the Persian Gulf; China is busy asserting its sway in East Asia. All of this threatens the sine qua non of American grand strategy: maintaining a favorable balance of power on either side of Eurasia as well as in the Persian Gulf. The consequences for small democratic nations like Israel are profound.

Hollande, Obama lack the troops and will for total war on ISIS. Mid East rulers are even more reluctant

T. Belman. Contrary to this report Hollande did not declare war on ISIS, he merely said ISIS has declared war on France. As this article explains, nothing significant will happen. Life will go on as before, as ISIS or any other radical group attack the western world on their home ground.

DEBKA

French policeWhen French President Francois Hollande declared war on ISIS and called the attack in Paris an “act of war,” he gave the terrorist organization’s leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi an unexpected boost. He upgraded the Muslim caliphate to a fully-fledged state against which France is now at war. US President Barack Obama was more cautious, declaring at the G-20 summit in Antalya that his country and France would fight together against terror, without specifying how.

Obama has problems of his own. The attempt to portray the Kurdish conquest of the city of Sinjar in northern Iraq as an important achievement in the war against ISIS dissipated quickly after Peshmerga troops were shown on TV moving into a city that was empty and lying in ruins, after it was abandoned by Islamic State forces. There was no battle there either.

80% of French Jews considering aliyah

Head of groups integrating French olim explains Israel doesn’t need public calls for immigration after attack – it needs quality absorption.

By Shimon Cohen, INN

french aliyaDr. Michael Bensaadon, director of the “Klita” umbrella organization for NGOs working to help French Jews immigrate to Israel, is calling on the government of Israel to prepare for a massive wave of aliyah from France following the Paris attacks on Saturday.

Bensaadon told Arutz Sheva about a report his group is preparing regarding the unique needs of French olim immigrating to Israel, and the anticipated increase in their numbers.

The upcoming escalation in aliyah can be predicting from the rise in immigration seen until now and the deteriorating situation in France, as well as from telling opinion polls among French Jewry.

The Jihadi in the White House

By Edward Cline, RULE OF REASON

oBAMA tI concluded “Raping the Swedish Corpse” on November 13th with this observation:

President Barack Obama has made a statement of consolation that sounds more like a sympathetic, almost congratulatory message to ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamic terror groups. He sounded almost regretful that the destruction in Paris wasn’t wider and the casualties higher. That’s worth another column.

And here it is.

Obama could just as well have asked for a Garrison Keillor voice-over to deliver the condolences in Keillor’s trademark Minnesotan funereal voice. His manner was listless, insipid, almost as though he had just been awakened from a sound sleep, but still had to rouse himself to make the formulaic sounds of transparently insouciant grief. He stumbled hesitantly over the pronunciation of liberté, égalité, and fraternité, and often seemed to pause as though he had lost his place on the document he was reading from. But, style aside, let’s take a look at what he said.

A prime example of Muslim taqiyya

By Ted Belman

Last week I recieved this email from The Ahmadiyya Muslims Community

Hello Ted,

The Ahmadiyya Muslims Community, one of America’s oldest Muslim communities, condemns the ISIS attacks in Paris, France. These attacks truly are an attack on all of humanity. ISIS claims to do these attacks in honor of Prophet Muhammad whereas such attacks do him the greatest dishonor. Islam teaches in the Quran that the killing of an innocent is like the killing of all mankind. Prophet Muhammad was a noble, kind, and patient man who protected the lives of all, regardless of religion, and did not engage in such terrorist acts.

We would like to present this important perspective.

We are fighting Islam or should be.

By Vic Rosenthal, Abu Yosef

After the recent terrorist outrages in Paris and Beirut, there are many voices calling for Something To Be Done.

It’s not as easy as it sounds. But before talking about Daesh (IS, ISIS, ISIL, etc.) and how to deal with it, there is another issue that we need to get clear about, and that is the identity of our enemy.

President George W. Bush got it spectacularly wrong on September 20, 2001, when he said,

The terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics; a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teachings of Islam.

Yachad poll on UK Jews and Israel: left-leaning respondents over-represented

T. Belman. By the way Yachad believes in inclusion and peace. That should tell you where they are coming from.

BY

YachadThe recent Yachad poll was widely covered in the MSM. Particularly cited was the result that 24% of British Jews would be prepared to “support some sanctions against Israel” if this would “encourage the Israeli government to engage in the peace process”.

It was widely noted that for people under the age of thirty, the figure rises to 41 per cent. Hannah Weisfeld, the Director of Yachad, was quick to use the poll to try to whip up opposition to Israel within the Jewish Community:

France must ‘annihilate’ Islamist radicals, far-right leader Le Pen says

T. Belman. Israel should follow her advice and expel everyone who espouses or participates in terror. She should also expel her illegal migrants.

Reuters

Marie le PenPARIS (Reuters) – France must “annihilate” Islamist radicals and regain control of its borders, the far-right National Front party leader Marine Le Pen said on Saturday after deadly attacks in the French capital.

“Urgent action is needed,” Le Pen told reporters the day after 127 people were killed in assaults on cafes, a concert hall and a soccer stadium.

“Islamist fundamentalism must be annihilated, France must ban Islamist organizations, close radical mosques and expel foreigners who preach hatred in our country as well as illegal migrants who have nothing to do here,” she said.
