Trumps first reaction to the “refugee” invasion was a liberal one. He offered to take some in. Which was odd since he is infavour of kicking out all the illegal aliens.

A day later, he changed his tune. BREITBART reported:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated of the refugees from the Middle East and Africa going through Europe “I’d love to help. But we have our own problems” on Wednesday’s broadcast of “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

Trump was asked, “We now know that our State Department, and our president is thinking of bringing in refugees from Syria and Iraq, that have been displaced, that are going through Europe. Now, do we know, many of them are Muslims coming from Muslim countries. I’m sure many of them are very good people. But do you think some radicals might be mixed in with them, is that a fear we should take seriously?”

Ted Belman. Clinton emphasized that she doesn’t believe in a “tough love” American policy toward Israel. That is, policy in which the U.S. levels public criticism at Israel or places diplomatic pressure on Israel out of fear for the country’s future. Clinton said also that if she is elected she will invite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet at the White House in her first month as president.

Remember how apoplectic they both were when Netanyahu announced the construction of 1600 homes in Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem. Clinton said our move was “insulting”.

Apparently, Netanyahu’s challenge to the Iran Deal has resulted in a renewed effort of the leading Democrats to win us back with promises of security. This is the sweet talk they give us to make the medicine go down whether its is the Iran Deal of the ’67 borders.

I say, back our desire to annex J&S. This would be the only way to make amends.

Washington – House Republicans have agreed on a new strategy to stop the clock on Congress’ review period for the Iran nuclear deal.

Instead of proceeding with a resolution disapproving of the deal— certain to pass the House but facing procedural hurdles in the Senate— the GOP will now try to prevent implementation of the deal on legal grounds.

Leaders of Judea and Samaria expressed their outrage over Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s de facto construction freeze, after reports Monday revealed he cancelled 2,500 housing units in the region and Jerusalem due to international pressure.

“The prime minister vowed to advance programs and start construction, but in reality after this type of (building) advancement is published everything is stopped,” unnamed leaders of Judea and Samaria communities told the Hebrew news site Walla! on Monday.

I asked an insider yesterday about the freeze and he said “what freeze?” He said construction is going on all over J&S. According to this report construction this year has increased 54.8% from last year but it still is insignificant. We should be building thousands of homes not hundreds.

The number of homes built in the West Bank increased 54.8% in the first half of this year, compared with the first six months of last year, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday.

Similarly, there was a 49.6% jump in the number of housing starts in the same period, the CBS said.

Its quarterly release of data comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu headed to London to speak with his British counterpart, David Cameron, about the Quartet’s new push to revive the peace process, which has been frozen since April 2014.

T. Belman. Sofer argues that since Iran is dedicated to destroying Israel, Israel should act to destroy Iran. The Sunnis, led by Saudi Arabia, are committed to stopping Iran by removing Assad and defending Yemen. Sofer isn’t worried that Iran will use a nuke on us when they get them because Iran prefers to wage endless war against us rather than to use their Samson option. Israel should destroy Hezbolla, openly support all Kurds and support the various minorities in northern Iran who want independence. Go for it.

Netanyahu has failed to defeat Obama’s deal with Iran, as was inevitable. To survive, Israel must radically change its foreign policy: stop viewing itself as American serf, recognize its status as a regional power – and fight fire with fire.

It’s painfully clear by now that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu failed in his mission to prevent a bad deal with Iran.

Even before Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski became the 34th Senator to endorse the deal last week, thus ensuring a presidential veto of a congressional vote against would stand, there was a sense of inevitability which Team Netanyahu alone did not share. Now, with the White Houseobtaining the 41 Senators needed to filibusterany vote altogether – with change to spare – that defeat for Netanyahu has turned into a rout. Adding insult to injury, the carefully stage-managed drip-drip of Democratic support for Team Obama demonstrated that there was never really any doubt of a White House victory – they were merely savoring the moment.

There has been an interesting twist in the Israeli media in recent days. The Israeli media, which in any case understand very little about the United States politics, have discovered a candidate with whom they wish to identify and over whom they can enthuse.

That candidate is Bernie Sanders. A typical “news story” this week had Channel One news talking head spouting out his excitement. Will the next US president be a Jewish socialist, he asks? Most of the rest of the media share his excitement.

The lobbying action picks up tomorrow. There will be a grassroots rally opposing the deal on the West Lawn of the Capitol, which will get significant coverage not just because of expected numbers – hotel rooms in town are somewhere between premium cost and unavailable – but also because Trump is scheduled to speak. Inside the office buildings hundreds of AIPAC activists will be taking meetings with lawmakers.

On Thursday the House is expected to take up its resolution of disapproval, which will pass with roughly 60% of the chamber voting for the resolution and against the Iran deal. Then the Senate will have until the 17th to move on its own resolution, though they’re out on the 14th and 15th for Rosh Hashanah mini-recess. The Senate vote count is 58 disapprove vs. 41 endorse, about the same proportion as the House. That means the battle will be over whether the administration can force enough Democrats to filibuster and prevent the President from having to veto the resolution of disapproval. Cantwell is still in play, plus there are several pro-deal Democrats who may still vote for cloture.

What you don’t know can hurt you. Congress set to vote on Iran deal in the dark

Congress plans to start voting this week on Obama’s Iran deal – minus the facts. As a result, Congressman Mike Pompeo and others are urging the GOP leadership not to proceed with the vote. When it comes to the acquisition of the world’s most dangerous weapon by the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, it should be obvious that what you don’t know can hurt you.

This spring, the GOP leadership in Congress set aside the strong argument that the Iran deal would be a treaty and agreed with the president on one essential condition for implementing its terms. The president would be required to transmit “the agreement” to Congress for review, defined as a long list of items including “side” and “related agreements.” Failure to comply with the duty to transmit would vitiate the president’s authority to waive or provide relief from sanctions.

Immigration into Germany last year hit its highest level for 20 years, with nearly 1.5 million people entering the country, and nearly one million people leaving. The number of people claiming asylum seeker benefits jumped by a staggering 61 per cent, the German Statistics Office (GSO) said on Thursday.

The news comes as a poll published Wednesday showed support for Chancellor Angela Merkel and her party slipping for the second week in a row on the back of the ongoing European migrant crisis.

According to the GSO figures, net migration stood at 550,000, meaning that many more people moved to Germany in 2014 than left. The majority were from Europe, mostly from Poland. Liberal asylum laws and generous benefits make Germany the EU’s biggest recipient of people seeking asylum.

The Fikra Forum published a fascinating poll last week that asked Palestinians for their preferred solution to the conflict with Israel over three different time frames. Queried about the next five years, a plurality chose “reclaiming all of historic Palestine from the river to the sea” as the “main Palestinian national goal”; the two-state solution placed second and the one-state solution third. Moreover, while Palestinians don’t expect this goal to be achieved within five years, they do consider it achievable in the medium to long term: In 30 to 40 years, only a quarter of respondents expect Israel to “continue to exist as a Jewish state,” and in 100 years, only 12 percent of West Bankers and 15 percent of Gazans believe the Jewish state will still exist.

T. Belman. I strongly disagree with Abrams on the need to keep the TSS alive because it should never be achieved. Israel should never permit another Gaza to occupy the highlands of Samaria overlooking Tel Aviv. He wants to keep the TSS alive forever. This is the same position of the EU and the US. Instead, Israel should make it clear that it is dead so that work can begin on something that is achievable. The sooner we get off the slippery slope of the TSS the better.

Israel’s allies won’t support an out-and-out renunciation of the two-state solution.

Like Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, the “peace process” may die unless we all clap loudly and say we believe in it. In “The Two-State Solution Is in Stalemate,” Evelyn Gordon tells us to keep our hands down and embrace that terrible danger. In fact, she argues, we’d all be better off acknowledging that, whatever the fate of Tinkerbell, the “peace process” is already defunct.

As she rightly says, the notion that the parties are an inch apart, and that all the outlines of a final status-agreement are well understood, is nonsense. There is no chance of a comprehensive peace in the foreseeable future—because the issues are too hard and the disagreements too deep, and because today’s Palestinian leadership is illegitimate and unable to make the difficult decisions and compromises peace would require.

The review process under the Corker law never began — by the law’s own terms.

To undermine President Obama’s atrocious Iran deal despite the Republican-controlled Congress’s irresponsible Corker legislation, it will be necessary to follow, of all things, the Corker legislation.

On Wednesday, Barbara Mikulski became the 34th Senate Democrat to announce support for the deal, which lends aid and comfort to a regime that continues to call for “Death to America.” Under the Corker Roadmap to Catastrophe, Mikulski’s assent ostensibly puts President Obama over the top. After all, the legislation sponsored by Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) and other Beltway GOP leaders reverses the Constitution’s presumptions against international agreementsthat harm national security. In essence, Corker requires dissenters from the Iran pact to round up a two-thirds supermajority oppositionin both congressional chambers (67 senators and 290 House members). If the Constitution were followed, the burden would be on the president to convince either 67 senators to support a treaty, or majorities of both chambers to make the pact legally binding through ordinary legislation.

The sudden and unexpected wave of economic refugees from Syria and Iraq appears to have similarities to the wave of young economic refugees fleeing Central America who started flooding our borders last year with several governments, including our own, as enablers and financiers of forced settlement.

When this administration, bent on changing the face and demographics of America, granted amnesty under Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to 2-3 million illegals, news spread through Central America, which resulted in a massive influx of unaccompanied minors and adult young men. These minors and adults brought in diseases like the enterovirus 68 found in Central America, a polio-like respiratory illness that has caused deaths among U.S. school children. Lice and tuberculosis were found among adults and children.

T. Belman. I was interviewed yesterday and made this exact point i.e., that all the carnage and the refugees are the direct responsibility of Obama’s policies and leadership, not only in Syria and Iraq but also in Libya. Luckily Egypt need not be added to the list due to the heroic al Sisi.

The Left, including the mainstream media, must also share responsibility. Remember how mercilessly they attacked Bush for his foreign policy errors. Compare that with their non-existing condemnation of Obama and his policies.

One more responsible party is the Republican leadership. They also gave Obama a pass whereas the Democratic leadership was a real opposition to Bush’s policies.

As bad as these consequences are, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Imagine what the fallout from the Iran Deal, will be.

Since 2011, Jordan has witnessed continuous anti-king protests.  Still, the regime has not fallen. Some in the US, Israel and elsewhere are already claiming Jordan’s king “has survived the Arab Spring.  Those people fail to realize that Egypt’s Mubarak did not fall in one day in 2011.  In fact, protests against Mubarak began in 2003 during which 10,000 documented demonstrations occurred over a period of eight years.   Then, when the right moment arrived, Mubarak was gone in less than three weeks.  That is identical to the protests against Jordan’s king.  Let me sum it up for them.  The Jordanian revolution has not yet begun. But it sure is on the way in the very foreseeable future.
