The most ironic thing about the nuclear deal struck in Vienna is that it not only secures Iran’s path to the bomb, it also creates the very condition it was supposed to prevent: nuclear proliferation. Instead of enhancing the nuclear nonproliferation regime, the resultant impact of the Pollyannish P5+1 deal will be the destruction of the accord that was meant to prevent the nuclear arms race in the first place.

The Obama administration has collapsed on nearly every condition that constitutes a good deal: no dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program, no sunset clause, no anytime, anywhere inspections, no curbing of Iran’s ballistic missile program, no continuation of the arms embargo and no confronting Iran’s sponsorship of terror.

Stepping into the summer haze on Capitol Hill, the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee and its allies are set to face off against the ultimate power broker – 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – backed up by a cadre of its allied groups.

The lobbying showdown, over a Congressional vote on the nuclear deal with Iran, represents a rare moment for AIPAC, with the avowedly bipartisan organization publicly splitting with the sitting administration over a major foreign policy initiative.

Any legal case has two main components – the facts and the law. In my last post, I analyzed the International Criminal Court’s disregard of salient facts in itsruling on Thursday overturning the chief prosecutor’s decision not to investigate Israel’s botched raid on a 2010 flotilla to Gaza. But the ruling was equally contemptuous of several fundamental legal principles.

The first of these is that judicial decisions should be dictated by law, not politics. The majority judges threw this principle out the window when they asserted that whether the alleged crime was sufficiently grave to merit ICC attention should depend not on what actually happened, but on the amount of “attention and concern that these events attracted” from the international community, as reflected in “several fact-finding efforts on behalf of States and the United Nations.” In other words, the ICC’s choice of cases will depend not on their objective legal merits, but on how many resolutions the dictators who dominate the U.N. Human Rights Council decide to devote to it.

Yet neo-Nazis 90 miles south contend that the Jews of Golders Green, in northwest London, are not only rich but also conspire with a corrupt state 2,300 miles to the east that commits horrific war crimes.

Petty criminals in Birmingham, population 1 million, vandalized a menorah apparently because Jews are rich. Crude activists sought to descend upon Golders Green to tear up Israeli flags and burn the Talmud because Jews oppress the Palestinians.

T. Belman. The EU effort must be taken seriously.

It is not enough for them to have the UN back their proposal, they also want a “support group” to apply pressure. They, like Obama, have abandoned Res 242, the Oslo Accords and the Bush Letter of ’04. Israel can no longer count on the PA to kill the deal. The EU want to end the occupation that began in ’67, whether the PA is willing to sign a peace agreement or not.

Their efforts are as lawless as those of the UN, the ICC and the Obama administration. The only law they approve of is law which supports their agenda. When it doesn’t they ignore it or distort it it or misinterpret it. They want Israel to abandon the rule of law and not demolish Arabs houses which have been approved by the courts.

Israel should agree to none of this. Israel should demand the acceptance of the Bush letter as the only basis for negotiations. Israel should continue with court approved demolitions and should continue to build as Bibi says in a “responsible” manner”.

And under no conditions should she make any “gestures” to get the PA to the table.

A meeting of EU foreign ministers blasts Israel for what it says are actions that ‘seriously threaten the two-state solution’, while embracing a new international peace plan that would bring Israel and the Palestinians back to the negotiating table.

The UN Security Council held the critical vote on the Iranian nuclear deal between the Islamic Republic and the West on Monday afternoon, at 9:00 am EST (4:00 pm IST) in New York.

Anticipation is high ahead of the vote, after New Zealand announced Friday that the vote would be held “under silence.”

In an “under silence” adoption procedure, instead of the UNSC holding a normalpositive vote, the motion that is set for adoption “under silence” is deemed automatically adopted unless a party specifically objects to the motion.

Before Mohammad Youssduf Adulazeer shot up a military recruiting center in Chattanooga from a car and then sped away, another Mohammed, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad did much the same thing in 2009.

Both struck military recruiting centers in the South, but the 2009 Mohammed had a message for Americans that we unfortunately failed to heed.

“This is not the first attack, and won’t be the last,” Muhammad warned.

“I’m just one Muhammad. There are millions of Muhammads out there. And I hope and pray the next one be more deadlier than Muhammad Atta!”

In a Sunday column in The Washington Post, “Stop laughing at Donald Trump,” a liberal analyst from the Brookings Institution tries to warn the Washington, D.C. beltway elites that they should take the businessman seriously because he has figured out how to win a national election—by taking the white vote. This is the “silent majority.”

While it is true that minorities and other groups helped elect President Obama twice, “the white portion of the electorate, which votes strongly Republican, underperformed in support of John McCain in 2008, and white turnout was down in 2012,” when Mitt Romney was the Republican presidential nominee, notes William H. Frey, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a population studies professor at the University of Michigan.

In other words, if McCain and Romney had only come across in a more conservative and assertive manner, and had appealed to more white voters, they probably would have won.

The list of fundamental falsehoods that undergird the P5+1 accord with Iran keeps on growing. It is frustrating and infuriating.

First, there is the lie (or knowing self-deception) that introduces the 159-page agreement, stating that Iran’s nuclear program has never been and will not be a weapons program.

“Iran envisions that this JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] will allow it to move forward with an exclusively peaceful, indigenous nuclear program,” says the opening text.

This is hogwash, and P5+1 leaders must know this.

Last week President Barack Obama churlishly scolded his Iran-Nuclear-Deal critics, exhorting them to read the Iran Nuclear agreement before they criticize it.  Fortunately, one doesn’t have to read far into the 159 pages of diplomatic wordiness, or be a nuclear physicist or rocket scientist to understand the extent of Obama’s security fraud against the United States and the free world.

In fact one only has to read the first operative paragraph on page 7 of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), announced on July 14, 2015, but not actually signed by any of the parties (including Iran) to realize that Iran is not even contractually “signed” on the JCPOA in contrast to other Nuclear Arms treaties, such as START.  Reading the first paragraph, one quickly realizes that all of what Obama piously claims to be Iran’s Nuclear ‘obligations’ under the JCPOA are actually entirely voluntary measures and not obligatory.  So, under the JCPOA, Iran is not actually obligated to do anything, meaning that Iran can never be in “violation” of JCPOA because all of Iran’s requirements are voluntary.

Agricultural Minister Uri Ariel and MK Bezalel Smotrich, members of the Jewish Home party who represent the National Union faction of the party, participated Sunday night in a meeting that discussed the movement’s future in light of the “creeping building freeze” many residents of Judea and Samaria say is occurring.

Those who claim that this is the case are not wrong, said Ariel. “The whole concept of ‘building freeze’ must be done away with,” said Ariel. “There are no circumstances in which this would be permissible anywhere in Israel, especially in Jerusalem.”

The big news story this morning is Germany to Iran: Recognize Israel if You Want Economic Ties. Unfortunately the title isn’t an accurate reflection of the words spoken.

German Economics Minister, while leading a trade mission to Iran, told a gathering of German and Iranian businesspeople in Tehran:

“Questioning [Israel’s] right to existence is something that we Germans cannot accept,”

“You can’t have a good economic relationship with Germany in the long term if we don’t discuss such issues and try to move them along,”

He didn’t say Germany wouldn’t trade with Iran if it didn’t. He also said that Germany would like to mediate discussions toward recognition.

Dr. Harold Rhode of Ariel University says there were never any real negotiations between Iran and the West. Rather, the Americans gave in.

Dr. Harold Rhode, a former analyst for the Pentagon on the Middle East and today a lecturer at the Ariel University in Samaria, on Sunday told Arutz Shevathat the deal between Iran and the West was in fact an American concession to Iran.

“There were no negotiations, only an American concession to Iran,” said Rhode, who studied the Persian language in Mashhad, Iran during the revolution. “The Iranians did not give up anything,” added Rhode.

“For the Iranians, the agreement is a step along the way. The negotiations start with the agreement,” he continued, noting he wrote a study for the United States administration about how Iran holds negotiations.

The legal way the to get rid of Israel is through International Humanitarian Law. Humanitarian Law is not applicable when Israel is attacked, only when it defends itself.

If the Chosen won’t succumb to physical onslaught, let them deal with morale-sapping verbal onslaught. Curse the life out of Israel!

Kerry to Netanyahu: Better Iran deal a ‘fantasy’

A reasonable alternative to the July 2015 agreement with Iran would reject the Carter state of mind, resurrecting U.S. confidence in its moral and strategic exceptionalism and restore U.S. power-projection and posture of deterrence.

A common sense alternative to the agreement with Iran would predicate benefits to Iran upon an end to the current conventional threats to global stability. The benefits resulting from the July 2015 agreement add fuel to these threats.

A common sense alternative would focus on the 36-year lawless, rogue, violent, supremacist, megalomaniac, non-tolerant, repressive and systematically noncompliant track record of the ayatollahs, who consider the U.S. the prime obstacle — and therefore the prime target — on the road of attaining their prime historical goal of regional and global hegemony.
