Dismantling USAID Will Help Stop U.S. Funding of Terrorists

Peloni:  It should be recalled, as explained by Mike Benz, USAID is nothing more than local and regional capacity building across the whole world of assets that can be used by either the Pentagon, the State Dept or the CIA for their own activities.  Hence, while it is good to see that the USAID program is placed under the watchful auspices of the US State Dept, it should be recalled that the ranks of the US State Dept oversaw partial funding of some of the alarming anti-Bibi protests on the streets of Jerusalem during the attempt to pursue Judicial Reform in Israel in early 2023.  So, as Greenfield describes it, rolling the USAID under the control of the State Dept is only a good first step, and the second and third steps will require significant reform from within the US State Dept, something which is not entirely likely under Marco Rubio – recall the section relating to Rubio in Part II of Nelson’s important review of  Trump’s nominees:

MR. PRESIDENT, WHO ON EARTH IS VETTING YOUR MAGA APPOINTEES? PART TWO

It’s time to get our foreign aid under control.

USAID has been a major problem for a long time, but, under the Biden administration, it turned into a rogue agency that actively resisted the efforts of the Afghan watchdog to get information about its activities and that has directed billions of aid to terror states in ways that are completely unaccountable by moving the money through the UN and third party NGOs while making it impossible to track what they were doing with it.

Science’s Turn Towards Darkness

Peloni:  As Project Stargate is in line to be the follow up to Project Warp Speed, closer attention should be paid to the unbridled assault on public health to bring Warp Speed online, and the reality is that all this assault began while manipulating scientific research to satisfy corporate profits rather than scientific inquiry.  And while Warp Speed was catastrophic, it will be dwarfed by the much grander, more ambitious, better funded, and more far reaching followup program, Stargate.  Bring scientific research back to support the principles of scientific inquiry and out of the pockets of corporate profiteers and stop this madness.

In light of RFK, Jr.’s confirmation hearings to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, it is good to remember that much of what is presented to us as science stems from vested interests and an outdated mechanistic worldview.

Science is one of humanity’s greatest achievements. But it is not infallible — that’s why it is science and not dogma — and is sadly not immune to the virus of corruption. For many decades, the mirror of science has become increasingly blurred by a storm of vested interests, particularly when research and the communication of results are linked to large corporations.

DOJ Turns Tables On J6 Investigators, Orders ‘Review Process’ Ahead Of Possible FBI Purge

Peloni:  Should this result in simply supporting the termination of those involved in the ‘Review Process’, it will be a terrible miscarriage of justice.  Political and legal malfeasance masked as legal prosecution needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  It is not enough for the US to return to legitimate application of the law going into the future, rather it must  be used to prosecute those who used the misapplication of the law over the past four years, not based on political affiliation, but upon the proper use of legal standards.  It will be the latter and not the former which will result from the Trump administration not prosecuting every individual involved in the legal tragedy which has come to be known as January 6.  Transparency and Accountability are equally required to serve the needs of justice.  Anything less is political collusion, no matter who is pulling the strings.

John Oyewale | Daily Caller |

The Department of Justice (DOJ) fired prosecutors investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol and demanded the names of the FBI agents involved in the case ahead of a possible similar purge, The Associated Press (AP) reported Friday.

The firing — ordered by Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove — affected about 12 employees at the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, the outlet reported.

Trump Must Designate the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terrorist Organization, Scale Down US Ties to Qatar

by Con Coughlin  •  Gatestone Institute  •  February 2, 2025

If US President Donald Trump is really serious about making a positive impact on the Middle East, a good place for him to start would be to designate the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood movement as a terrorist organisation and scale down Washington’s ties with the Gulf state of Qatar. • For Trump to make genuine progress in bringing peace and stability to the region in his second term, though, his administration must first focus on the root cause of much of the unrest blighting the region.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is observed each year on January 27 as a solemn reminder that the Holocaust was not an isolated atrocity but the result of incremental decisions and actions by individuals. These choices culminated in the largest genocide in human history, driven by waves of antisemitism, intolerance, and hatred.

The Supreme Court of Israel: Chronology of a power grab*

Peloni:  Excellent article by Gary Littwin!!  As I have noted before, the growing arrogance of the Supreme Court keeps the issue of Judicial Reform ever in the forefront of the Israeli electorate, over whom it exploits its use of arbitrary power.  This is not the hallmark of a democracy, but the mark of judicial tyranny which acts to coincidently disregard the dignity and liberties of the public at large…which is why the demand for Judicial Reform will only grow louder and louder and be perceived as being more and more necessary as time passes by.

There is no longer such thing as “clear language”; a judge tells the parties to a contract what they really intended, overriding their actual language and the accepted meaning of their words. The judge’s interpretation is based on “basic principles” such as justice, equality and minority rights.

Introduction

Israel finds herself in the midst of a severe constitutional crisis that reached a dramatic peak when a new President of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice), Yitzhak Amit, appointed himself. Most government ministers, including, crucially, the Minister of Justice, refused to recognise him. The government of Israel and the Supreme Court of Israel are now, in effect, boycotting each other.

The Koch Appeasers Taking Over Trump’s Defense Department

Daniel Greenfield | Jan 25, 2025

“As of today, the incoming Trump Administration has hired over 1,000 people,” President Trump tweeted. “It would be helpful if you would not send, or recommend to us people who worked with, or are endorsed by, Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch)” along with a long list of others.

But by then it was already too late. The Kochers were already on the inside.

The Reality of Palestinian “Refugees”

Peloni:  I believe that Trump’s position on this point is quite clear.  Jordan and Egypt will take the Gazans.  And this will begin to revolutionize the entire region.

President Donald Trump was contemplating, and, as he often does, set off a firestorm.

Gaza is, he said, “literally a demolition site, almost everything is demolished, and people are dying there.” On the other hand, “Gaza is interesting. It’s a phenomenal location, on the sea. The best weather, you know, everything is good. It’s like, some beautiful things could be done with it, but it’s very interesting.”

UAE Firm to Secure Significant Stake in Israeli Defense Company

UAE’s EDGE Group deepens military technology ties with Israel through $10 million investment.

Israfan | January 30, 2025

In a landmark deal showcasing deepening defense ties between Israel and the UAE, Emirati defense giant EDGE Group is set to acquire a 30% stake in Israeli security company Third Eye Systems for over $10 million. The agreement, still awaiting Israeli Defense Ministry approval, highlights growing military technology cooperation between the two nations.

Beyond the initial investment, EDGE Group plans to establish a joint venture with Third Eye Systems, focusing on electro-optical identification systems. EDGE will contribute an additional $12 million, securing a controlling 51% stake, while Third Eye Systems will hold 43%, and an undisclosed entity will control the remaining 6%.

What If?

Peloni:  The entire world stands in a much more secure position today due to the election of Pres. Trump.  From the shores of the US, to the Eastern Mediterranean, across all of Europe and throughout the Pacific.  In fact, his election was an inflection point in history, in which the world might take a step back from the brink of many impending and evolving disasters, not the least most relevance of which lies in the Middle East and within Israel most particularly.  There can be no regret that the gross incompetence and even grosser corruption of Obama’s acolytes have once again been turned out of power, hopefully forever, and we can only hope that Trump’s return as leader of the free world will meet the many challenges it faces with a sense of responsibility and certain judgement, and devoid of such inside trading tactics and political malfeasance which characterized the Biden regime from its first day to its last.  I still remain hopeful that this will be the legacy of Trump’s second term, and that the disastrously harmful Witkof affair will soon be dwarfed by the potentially revolutionizing steps which have yet to be played out in what will come to be the remaking of the Middle East, leaving Israel far more secure, and the world in general far safer than it stands today.  Time will tell if the deeply troubling Witkof affair will be the mark of Trump’s second term or simply an aberration of his policies.   Again, hopefully it will be the latter.

A few days ago, I took issue with the Doomsday Squad of prominent pearl-clutchers and naysayers — including Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, director of Jihad Watch and prolific author Robert Spencer, president of the Middle East Forum Daniel Pipes, prolific British writer Melanie Phillips, and the formidable Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) — all of whom condemned in the strongest language the ceasefire/hostage release deal that then-president-elect Donald Trump insisted on before his January 20, 2025 inauguration.

Will Egypt’s President Become Trump’s Least Favorite Dictator?

Peloni:  Egypt has been given a long leash on which to act against its previous allies.  I am particularly looking forward to seeing Trump return the relationship with Sisi to one based on reciprocity or more preferably to simply see the relationship being handled over to someone else altogether.

Hours after President Donald Trump revealed plans to ask Egypt to enable Palestinian refugees looking to escape the war to enter the Sinai Peninsula from Gaza, Cairo’s Foreign Ministry issued a firm rejection of the proposal. Cairo called any attempt to displace Palestinians an “infringement on inalienable rights” and warned such actions would threaten “regional stability, risk further conflict escalation, and undermine prospects for peace and coexistence among the region’s peoples.”

Tulsi Gabbard ‘paid to mask connections’ to alleged pyramid scheme tied to her childhood Hindu sect

Lawmakers have been scrutinizing Gabbard’s ties to the Science of Identity Foundation, according to the report

Rhian Lubin | Independent | Jan 29, 2025

Tulsi Gabbard’s campaign paid a firm to “mask connections” to an alleged pyramid scheme linked to a secretive sect she grew up in, according to a report.

The Senate Intelligence Committee is set to grill President Donald Trump’s pick to serve as director of national intelligence on Thursday over her questionable connections and background. Since she was named as nominee to the post, she has faced questions and pushback given her previous statements and her history with foreign nations.

Lawmakers have been scrutinizing Gabbard’s ties to the Science of Identity Foundation and the Hong Kong-based marketing firm QI Group, the Wall Street Journal reports.
