Censor the Internet to Save the Planet

Daniel Greenfield | November 21, 2024

“Governments Should Act Now to Curb Climate Disinformation” demands a letter backed by Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which has close ties to the British government, along with over 50 other organizations.

The open letter calling for ending free speech to save the planet from global warming accuses social media, broadcast and publishing companies of being “enablers to planetary destruction” for allowing dissenting views and demands that governments step in and crack down.

Deception 9: The “Palestinian-Jesus” Deception.

Peloni:  Here is the 9th installment of Joseph Shellim’s 12 Deceptions, an excerpt from his important work, Philistine-To-Palestine.  We are posting one Deception each week, and  links to the previous installments can be found at the bottom.

Joseph Shellim

The underlying agenda of a ‘First Century Palestine’ that is manipulated away from Judea and Israel is  testified by numerous historical scholars.

  • “There is a propaganda war going on now with regard to the term “Palestine”. It is specifically  employed to avoid the use of the name Israel, and must be considered an anti-Israel term.” – (Thomas  S. McCall, Th.M. in Old Testament studies.)

Jesus was born in Judea, which was not an Arab country 2,000 years ago in the first century. Judea was  invaded by the Roman Empire and encountered a war with the Jews. There was no Palestine country or  Palestinian people in the First Century. A Palestinian Jesus is a historical impossibility. The name  Palestine was applied to Judea 100 years after Jesus of Nazareth was killed, namely this name was  placed on Judea in the Second Century, in the year 135 AD/CE by the Roman Emperor Hadrian. In the  First Century no country was called as Palestine and no people were called as Palestinian. Rome  printed 1,000s of coins with “Judea Capta” – none that said “Palestina Capta.”

Airstrike signals new strategy against Hezbollah – analysis

Israeli airstrikes target central Beirut, hitting areas beyond Hezbollah strongholds to further pressure the terrorist organization.

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN | NOVEMBER 23, 2024

Smoke rises over Dahieh in Beirut’s southern suburbs, after overnight Israeli air strikes, amid ongoing hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, as seen from Sin El Fil, Lebanon, October 3, 2024.

A major airstrike in central Beirut at four in the morning is raising eyebrows.

Locals described the attack as hitting the Basta area of central Beirut. A large building was destroyed. People initially suspected a high death toll due to the presence of people sheltering in the area who had fled other parts of Lebanon. However, initial reports say four were killed and two dozen injured. More updates will come out as the rubble is cleared.

It’s perilous to participate in an unsanctioned foreign boycott

Peloni:  The Anti-BDS law is one of so many tools which can and should be used by the US against the Iranian terror regimes, and instead the US keeps sending these terrorists additionally significant aid.  It will be refreshing to see this policy reversed with the Trump administration.

BDS is a malevolent scheme directed at delegitimizing Israel and undermining it as a haven for Jews.

Colleges and universities in the United States are under increasing pressure to boycott Israel, a move that is likely illegal under the U.S. Anti-Boycott Act of 2018.

It is reported that the effort is fostered and even financed by foreign countries, their affiliates and proxies, such as Iran, Qatar, Hamas, Samidoun (recently sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department) and the BDS movement. This group includes the Palestinian Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, a Palestinian Authority, Ramallah-based organization and arm of the terrorist-linked BDS National Committee.

Mark Levin: We have an ‘unconstitutional, massive bureaucracy’

Peloni:  Trump was tempted to push thru his appointments by dismissing Congress shortly before his first term ended.  It was only due to political considerations surrounding the 2020 election which stayed his hand from making such a move.  He will have no such reluctance in his second term.

‘We Are United’: Former UNRWA Chief Preached Unity With Iran’s Terror Proxies

FDD | November 22, 2024

• UNWRA Pledged Cooperation With Iran’s Terror Proxies: Pierre Krahenbuhl, the previous head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNWRA), pledged to meet with Iran’s Palestinian terror proxies “a thousand times” to discuss policy decisions, the Geneva-based nonprofit UN Watch revealed on November 21. In 2017, Krahenbuhl met with leaders from Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations in Beirut, where he advocated “the spirit of partnership” and assured the terror chiefs that “we are united” and “no one can separate us.”

Empower the of People of Iran Who Seek Change and Freedom

by Majid Rafizadeh  •  Gatestone Institute •  November 23, 2024

In recent years, Iranians have launched countless uprisings, each filled with hope and courage, only to be met with violent repression from the regime, and mainly indifference from abroad. Each wave of protests saw security forces killing thousands of demonstrators, and imprisoning and torturing many more. The time is long overdue for Western nations to take a real stand. • European governments, rather than risking confrontation with Iran’s regime, have preferred to maintain business relations and avoid taking any position that might upset the mullahs. Those countries are complicit in the suffering of the Iranian people. The unalleviated silence emboldens the regime, rather than holds it accountable.

The Israeli critique of the US president which spurned an ICC indictment

@DanLinnaeus tweeted the following:

In his speech to the Knesset on Monday, November 18, Netanyahu called out Biden’s advice throughout the war for being “repeatedly off the mark.” By Thursday, three days after the Israeli Prime Minister publicly criticized the U.S. President, the ICC issued arrest warrants for the prime minister and his former defense minister following months of delays from the international court due to U.S. pressure.

What Kennedy Must Do to Defeat Regulatory Capture

Peloni:  Here is a very important analysis of what must be done to permanently defeat Regulatory Capture.  Many are looking to RFK to achieve this feat.  The question is whether his ultimate aims are support reform of Regulatory Capture or to eliminate it utterly, with the distinction being far more important than is commonly understood and which is discussed by Shaffer in the article below.  Recall that RFK is an old time liberal.  This philosophy usually seeks govt solutions for every problem, and when govt solutions fail to be useful, they usually attribute it to being due to poor management of govt policy.  So is this the ultimate end of RFK’s reforms, to deliver better management of Regulatory Capture as explicitly, or is it to end Regulatory Capture altogether (again, as explained below)?  Time will tell.

President-Elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services is cause for celebration for anyone who cares about the pharmaceutical industry’s influence over regulatory agencies, and the deleterious effect it has had on the health of Americans.

It is nearly impossible to express just how remarkable and potentially world-changing this is. Only a few years ago, it would have been beyond the imagination of any serious political commentator. Those of us who believe in the freedom of medical choice – and especially those who have been personally harmed by the industry – have every reason to be ecstatic.

On November 18, 2024, Politico reported that London and Paris had given Ukraine their Storm Shadow/SCALP long-range missiles to Ukraine. As of this writing (Wednesday, November 20, 2024), Reuters reported that Ukraine fired a volley of up to twelve Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles into Russia’s Kursk region, a day after Ukraine fired six U.S.-manufactured ATACMS missiles into Russia’s Bryansk region.

Victory over jihad

When one side is fighting a religious war and the other is not, then the one fighting the religious war will never lose, and will continue fighting, or at least resume fighting later, and will not stop until finally victorious. This can go on for generations.

ANJULI PANDAVAR

With Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wartime leadership having gone into high gear, one can expect talk of a peace deal with Hezbollah to more likely be a ruse for running out the clock on the dreadful Biden administration. Such talk, it turns out, is also bringing into the open just how solidly the Israeli public stands behind Mr Netanyahu in his prosecution of the war. As things stand, the only mistake Netanyahu can make is to fall behind the Israeli public.

Fake News in the 21st Century: The egregious, unethical sin of omission

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) executed several waves of airstrikes on Hezbollah sites in Beirut on November 20. The strikes occurred as Israeli forces progressed with several new limited ground operations near the border. In addition, Hezbollah’s new leader, Naim Qassem, vowed to respond to Israel for the killing of Hezbollah spokesperson Mohammad Afif on November 18.
