October 7 Reflections: A Balm for the Banality of War

We moved to the Gaza border six days before October 7. Three years later, the memories remain vivid, but so does the conviction that confronting the media distortions surrounding Israel is part of the long, difficult work of hope.

Why the flydubai attempted hijacking could end up strengthening Israel, UAE ties – analysis

PELONI:  The connection between Israel and the UAE has become an increasingly important outlier among Israel’s relations in the region and this is demonstrated by the strength of travel which exists between these two nations which is not just based around travel.  From diplomatic projects in the Horn of Africa to the development of AI dominance to opposition to the Iranian menace, to economic investments and travel exchanges, the connections between Abu Dhabi and Jerusalem demonstrate a blossoming aspect between these two Abraham Accord partners.  What goes unspoken in all of this however, is that the UAE uses its alliance partnership with Israel to confound Israel’s survival with its continued support for the well expired Two State Solution and it does this both directly with its influence with Israel and indirectly thru diplomatic partners in common between these two nations, not the least of which is to counted with the US which is a co-signatory of the AA.  It is also notable that the UAE has maintained opposition to Israel’s war in Gaza even putting forward a motion calling for an end to the war in Gaza less than two months following October 7 and just a little more than a month after Israel began operations in Gaza.  So the relationship is both important and complex.  The move to enter into cooperation with Israel by the UAE was a bold move which was not entirely supported by Emerati citizens, which can easily be explained as an effort by the UAE to balance between domestic sentiments and its role in the AA.  Nonetheless, while we can and should celebrate and take note of the importance of the relationship between Jerusalem and Abu Dhabi, it must be understood that this relationship has played an important role in raising support for a second Palestinian state, while ignoring the relevance of the already created Palestinian state which exists in Jordan.  See additional reports on the relationship between Israel and the UAE below the article.

The challenges that this incident presents also likely provide opportunities, similar to how the US and Saudi Arabia were able to work together after Septembe 11.

US Air Force redeploys bombers from British base after suspected Iranian plot

PELONI:  The need for America to reposition its bombers back home in the US is but further evidence of the limit to which the US can rely upon its European allies amid their ongoing failure to address the obvious Jihad taking place on their own streets against their own sovereignty and people.

Jonathan Conricus on Flydubai, October 7 & Israel’s Next Threat

Madeline Brooks:  What is noteworthy is the way Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Jonathan Conricus speaks of Israel’s security issues. He calls for civility among partisans as they tackle huge tabled issues that must be addressed, like how come Oct. 7 and FlyDubai were even allowed to happen. As for Israel’s precarious standing in a hostile environment, he promotes taking a positive stand and making the most of whatever peace concessions Israel has attained.

It should be noted that Conricus is no longer an official spokesman for the IDF and lives in Washington DC where he heads a security and foreign policy institute.

Mamdani Funds Islamic Group to Fund Antisemitism Which Moves the Money Back to Fund Him

A whole new level of evil.

Remember that exciting Mamdani plan to ‘fight antisemitism’ that the media hyped for a week? Somehow it keeps getting worse.

It was bad enough when it turned out that a whole bunch of the money was going into a black box called ‘Partners Against the Hate; that could output to an Islamic group that celebrated the Oct 7 atrocities by Muslim terrorists.

OCTOBER 07, 2026 – AN  INTERNATIONAL UNHOLY DAY

THE TRUTH AND NON-RECONCILIATION DAY

The performance of state-mandated morality has become the defining aesthetic of the modern Western nation. There is no greater monument to this hypocrisy than the absolute cognitive dissonance, outright deception, and moral bankruptcy woven into Western rituals of “reconciliation.”

How the Dubai flight became a front in the struggle against Iran

The Flydubai incident comes just as ties between Israel and the Gulf states are warming. Suspicions of an Iranian connection raise the possibility that the goal was not only to strike Israel and Israelis, but also to undermine relations with the United Arab Emirates and thwart the emerging regional alliance.

by  Prof. Eyal Zisser | Oct 4, 2026

The attempted terrorist attack on a Flydubai flight to Tel Aviv, which was miraculously thwarted, was intended to kill Israelis, but also to deal a devastating blow to ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Just as Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar sought to prevent any progress toward normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, whoever was behind the attack, with suspicion naturally falling on Iran, sought not only to kill Jews but also to undermine Israel’s regional standing, precisely as all indications point to warming ties between Israel and the Gulf states.

MECCA PACT KICKS IN! Pakistan, Turkey Rush To Deploy Troops To Saudi As Houthis Bomb Riyadh Airport

PELONI:  This is a big deal.  Up to this point, everyone has been dismissing the Mecca Pact as being another Middle East partnership which had no real role beyond its formation.  Also included in this pact was a clause indicating that only issues arising in the future would be covered by the terms of the agreement.  Nonetheless, as the Saudis are making gains on the battlefield they have triggered the Mecca Agreement all for one and one for all terms, making this a rather important change in the Middle East.  Take note of Turkey’s interest in settling the war against the Houthis in such a way as to promote Turkey’s already significant role in the Horn of Africa, something which will no doubt be used to threaten Israel’s partnership with Somaliland.

The puzzle pieces of the new globalist alignment have finally snapped into place, revealing a deeply unsettling picture.

Once you understand that the political establishments in Ottawa and London have abandoned the principles of national sovereignty in favor of subservience to unelected transnational bodies, their broader foreign policy makes perfect sense.
