Peloni: The apoplectic effect of the war between the effective Juristocracy and the failing democratic institutions in Israel should serve as the example of what lies ahead for America should the unbridled tyranny of judges not be reversed. Indeed, the whimsical nature of judicial overreach in the US is coming to parallel in direction, while not yet the degree, of that being exercised as the basis of a Juristocracy in Israel. The tyranny of unelected rogues ruling based on fantastical and damaging ideologies rather than legal precedents and standards, if not codified laws, is a rising and eminent threat to democracy in the US. The damaging aspects of this threat can be judged simply by witnessing the daily outrages exacted in Israel by the application of arbitrary power from the judicial tyranny which is overruling the application of democracy with reckless abandon. Indeed, America should carefully consider these outrages, and in solidarity with the Constitution, demand that justice be practiced based upon legal frameworks rather than partisan objectives. Failing this, America will come to suffer the fate of having to wrench its democratic rights back from these rogues draped in black, and as the example of Israel should indicate, such a process is neither easily achieved nor assured of quick success. Instead, what is assured is the loss of respect, both domestically and abroad, for the national institutions which have come to be the envy of aspiring democracies in every age since the Founding Fathers first began the American experiment.
