Purim is almost here: Thursday night, Friday, and then Sunday for Shushan Purim (observed in ancient walled cities).
The messages it carries – as we read and consider the Megillat Ester – are particularly vital this year.
Linda Goudsmit: Igal Hecht’s film “The Killing Roads” is an essential documentary that records and archives the horrific massacre and savage brutalization of 1200 Israeli civilians by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023. What Igal Hecht’s film and his interview do not documment, however, is the inconvenient truth that October 7th could never have happened without the treasonous participation of Israeli leftists inside Israel. NEVER AGAIN is an empty slogan without acknowledging this cruel and unusual fact. In America as in Israel, the enemy within is always the most dangerous. Until they are stopped, the globalist elite will continue funding and fomenting its leftist collaborators to wage War on America in America, and wage War on Israel in Israel AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

The hypocritical world community is perpetually hostile to the reconstituted Jewish state over its seeming temerity to be rebuilding and restoring its ancestral and Biblical homeland. This time it is convulsed with utterly illegitimate charges of Israel “stealing” land from Syria on the Golan Heights. But let us look into who truly has the undeniable historic and spiritual claim to the territory from time immemorial.
Peloni: It is important to recognize that Israel stands alone as a spot of civilization among barbarian forces. Syria has been, and remains to be, a failed state, ruled by representatives of these barbarians, and yet as the world continues to restrain, debase and literally indict Israel as it defends itself against these barbarian forces, the Alawites demonstrate the regional clarity that Israel alone might act as their saviors. Unfortunately for the Alawites, the Syrian coast is a bridge too far for Israel to stretch its dominance, and while recognizing this fact as likely so, the Alawites call upon their historic adversary to the South to save them from destruction all the same.

Now, after two days of mass murders of Alawite civilians — between 1,500 and 4,000 have been killed, according to Alawite sources — Ahmed al-Sharaa has declared that his army will find and punish those responsible. The Alawites don’t believe these assurances, and they are in a state of panic. And some are hoping that the country they have been taught for their entire lives to hate — Israel — will come to their aid. That is unlikely to happen, but the fact that Alawites dare to hope for such a result is telling: they know the Israelis are not the monsters they were depicted as being in Syrian schoolbooks and in the Syrian media. It is their fellow Muslims who have been slaughtering them, not the soldiers of the Jewish state.
Peloni: The Left have lost there way so badly that they never give us an opportunity to forget just how badly they are lost.

Canada’s new Liberal leader, Mark Carney, soon to be sworn in as unelected prime minister, bemoans the plight of Gazans, now without electricity. But he doesn’t even mention the name Israel. Rather, he calls on Canada to “work with our allies to stand up for international law to promote sustainable peace and security in the Middle East and to support full access to humanitarian aid for Palestinian families.” So he’s calling for international allies to put pressure on Israel in a rather sneaky fashion, with no mention whatsoever that it is the fault of Hamas, which continues to use Palestinians as human shields. Carney also does not state why Israel cut electricity. It was to pressure Hamas to release the hostages held in Gaza.

The world community is once again aghast at the behavior of Israel under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu. What have they done this time to arouse the ire of public opinion? The charges come thick and fast. This country has stolen land from Syria. The Jewish state has once again resorted to land theft. Israel has engaged in imperialism and in a violation of private property rights.
Peloni: Diplomacy is such a lost technique that many in the West perceive this practice of employing empathy towards an attempt to anticipate enemy actions as being either supplication or appeasement. The consequence of a lack of diplomacy is what started this war. It is time to reverse this policy failure, and turn the hot war into some form of peace, be it hot or cold, but neither will be achievable in the absence of the diplomatic arts.
The key to Russia’s nuclear arsenal lies in its stealth submarines. If Trump really wants peace, threatening a fellow nuclear-armed super-power is not going to get the job done.

Americans are not being adequately informed about Russia’s military capabilities. If you rely on the mainstream corporate media for your information, you would get the impression that Russia operates a relatively backward military and that its president, Vladimir Putin, is all bark and no bite, full of bluster and not to be taken seriously when he or his aides draw hard red lines against Western backing for Ukraine.
Peloni: Gadi Taub and Mike Doran discuss the situation in Syria where Doran insists that Israel is making a very great mistake in any effort to support the Alawhites or the Kurds. He also provides his perspective that based on the recent agreement between the Kurds and Syria’s Al Shaara demonstrates that the facts on the ground have already out paced this effort, with the complete support of the Trump administration. Doran goes on to suggest that contrary to claims of thousands of deaths, upwards of 17,000 deaths, there have been only some 1,300 deaths and among these, Doran remarkably attests that only 4-5 Christians have been killed, something which does appear to be far too specific and far too minimal without ascertaining as to where this claim might originate. Doran offers one point of generalized support for this remarkable statement by referencing a video (see Video) which shows the Turkish backed Jihadis dehumanizing and abusing Shia while claiming that the Shia victims are Christians. While this piece of Iranian disinformation is relevant and informative, it doesn’t explain the more specific number of only 4-5 Christians having been killed in Syria. Beyond this, the topics of the ongoing feud between the Israeli govt and the judiciary is also explored as well as the reported and not refuted claim of Bibi being blackmailed by the security services.

Israel struck a Hamas terror cell in southern Syria and a command center of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Damascus in the past days, Israeli media reported.
This war vindicated the military theorists who teach that in an age of total war with totally evil enemies, the only way to fight is to fight to win.

It’s like the Democrats who assessed Kamala’s victory – after her successful debate 55 days before Election Day.
Peloni: David Wurmser explains that the recent agreement signed between the Kurds and Syria are an example of efforts to deal with the reality that many forces in Syria are preparing for a future conflict, but are not yet prepared for that conflict, thus requiring temporary agreements while the preparations for war progress. He warns that the viability of these deals, are however unlikely to be sustainable due to the mutually exclusive nature of the relative interests, ie Jihadi forces vs those who would be subjugated by the Jihadi forces. Wurmser also indicates it will be important to watch the Christian and Druze communities, and how they come to assess their prospects while allying with either Israel or Syria. Noting that Syria is more hostile and Israel is more friendly, Wurmser notes that the minorities need to determine to what degree they might be able to trust and rely upon any commitments which are being made to them, such as the Israeli commitment to support the Kurds in Southern Syria. He explains that the determination of how these communities weather the political situation in Syria will ultimately determine if Syria remains a state or if it will break apart into segments along ethic lines of division.
Peloni: Negotiating with terrorists, rather than killing them, is not the way forward. It is the way back, back to October 6, and towards a repeat of October 7. While this position may be amenable to well removed interests of American bureaucrats such as Boehler, who seems to see little distinction between the parties in this war, it is counter to what Israel will accept and what Boehler’s own president is advocating. As Greenfield rightly states, “President Donald Trump is saying all the right things, on the other hand, his team is going in and saying all the wrong things” and it is time that Trump chose administrators who will support his policy rather than challenging it at every opportunity, which seems to be a point of continuity between Trump’s first and second terms, so far in any event.

President Donald Trump is saying all the right things. On the other hand, his team is going in and saying all the wrong things. Adam Boehler, the White House Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, is pushing the same nonsense that got us to October 7, 2023. His proposed deal leaves Hamas in Gaza, and has the U.S. rebuild Gaza for 10-15 years. In short, it’s the worst deal imaginable for America and for Israel. When one holds the beleaguered, sole, resurrected nation of the Jewish People to standards not equally demanded of any other nation, especially the assortment of tyrannical regimes which surround it, you’re an antisemite. Period.
Davis, Trump’s new appointee as Deputy Director of National Intelligence, is so obviously brainwashed, bought by Arab buddies, ignorant, and/or easily debunked in his claims that his appointment is just another example of President Trump using something other than his own substantial gray matter in making some of his latest appointments.
Peloni: Egypt had its chance to cooperate with the US, and notably, Egypt was one of the only nations which was initially exempt from the halt on US aid. Despite the cut in Egyptian Aid, Sisi will almost certainly continue to defy Trump, which will result in a ever tighter spiral towards disaster for him.
Trump should next do the same for the Hashemites.
