These past few weeks, replete with out-of-the-box achievements and counter-conventional initiatives, have opened up new ways of conceiving what Israel can and should be aiming to achieve in the multifront war that has been thrust upon it.

For most of the past year, Israel has had to contend with defeatism, and “keep a lid on everything-ism.”  It has been told by the Americans that they support its right to defend itself (What nation does not have the right to defend itself?), but there is clearly no interest in Israel’s winning.

The Air Force has not attacked in Beirut for three days, due to a request from the political echelon.

This followed a conversation that took place on Wednesday between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Joe Biden, during which Biden asked to limit operations in the area.

The last operation in Beirut’s southern suburb occurred in the center, where, according to reports and senior officials of the Israeli Defense Forces, a senior Hezbollah operative, who was considered the right-hand man of Hassan Nasrallah, was eliminated in the operation.

T. Belman. Ettinger is right to call for regime change in Iran but woefully wrong to refer to;

“Jordan’s pro-US Hashemite regime, ” and saying, “The toppling of the pro-US Hashemite regime would transform Jordan into a major platform of anti-US global terrorism, igniting a volcanic ripple effect in Israel, transforming its most critical and peaceful 310-mile-long Jordanian border into the most vulnerable and explosive border. ”

He is totally ignorant of the truth. Abdullah totally embraces the Muslem Brotherhood, the parent of Hamas. The King is fully behind the Oct 7th massacre. He collaborated with MBZ and Al Sisi to support the massacre.  He has invited Iranian troops in to Jordan and together they have smuggled weapons into Judea and Samaria. Under his leadership, Jordan is already ” a major platform of anti-US global terrorism” and “310-mile Jordanian border” is no longer peaceful but explosive.

He has taken this position by choice as he is trying to avoid being forced to abdicate among other things. He is our eneny, not our friend.

Peloni:  UNIFIL is an overly costly institution which is currently acting to forestall Israel’s efforts to carry out the removal of hostile militants in the area, which was the mandate which UNIFIL was charged to undertake and which it has consistently refused to fulfill.  They represent a pretense of accountability by the international community to the terrorists who control Lebanon and who receive significant funding from the international community in the form of faux humanitarian aid.

Despite a mandate to maintain international peace and security, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has repeatedly failed to secure the Israel-Lebanon border and support the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) to curb the terrorist organization Hezbollah. UNIFIL’s 10,000 peacekeepers from 48 countries have looked the other way as Iran-backed Hezbollah has grown to more than 45,000 fighters equipped with an estimated 150,000 rockets and missiles. Since Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza on October 7, UNIFIL has proven incapable of preventing Hezbollah from attacking Israel from Lebanon with rockets, guided missiles, and drones.

The short summary of where we are in the war of Iran’s proxies on Israel is as follows.

Israel continues to degrade Hezbollah and force its concentrations out of southern Lebanon.  This involves IDF ground operations, and air strikes (tactical aircraft, drones, and missiles) in Lebanon and Syria.  Israel continues to clear Hamas out of Gaza, largely with ground operations now, and supported by air activity where needed.

Amid escalating Middle East tensions, Iran faced major cyberattacks Saturday, disrupting its government branches and targeting nuclear facilities. The massive cyberattack followed Israel’s pledged response to Iran’s October 1 missile barrage, as regional conflicts intensified in Gaza and Lebanon.

Abolhassan Firouzabadi, former secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council for Cyberspace, told local media Iran suffered a cyber attack. Firouzabadi also added that threat actors stole sensitive information from targeted infrastructure.
