Rabbi Herzog: No more niceties

Rabbi Herzog tweeted the following:

New information and open talk / No more niceties from today:

A new assassination of a very high-ranking Hezbollah leader is coming soon. We’re on their trail, one by one.

After the death of the King of Jordan, there will be destruction and the end of the Muslim Brotherhood party, and it will be more difficult for them than what happened in Egypt.

The US wants Israel dead,or at least on a string, and why the Jordan Option will ensure Israel’s Salvation

By Ted Belman

In a recent video, Francisco Gil-White made the case for the US wanting to destroy Israel. He said that there is only one party in the US and it supports the policy of destroying Israel. He argued there is no denying the fact that President Clinton forced Israel to accept Arafat and his terrorists into Judea and Samaria. Now President Biden is insisting that the Gaza War should end with a Palestinian State.

I have written many articles on the subject the most important of which is Since When are the Palestinians Entitled to a State.  In it, I pointed out that beginning with the Rogers Plan of 1969, every single US administration has pushed for a Palestinian state and protected Arafat so that he could be forced on Israel as Clinton did in backing the Oslo Accords which “rammed Arafat down our throats”.

Iran’s Revenge: What Happens After Nasrallah?

Peloni: Miri Eisen reminds us of the fact that the victories over the past two weeks have been the work product of many years of planning, and yet, Hezbollah is not destroyed and remains as a very significant threat which can not be met with airpower alone.  She also explains that the armaments shipments from Tehran will be continue to be trucked into Lebanon.  The elimination of the command structure of Hezbollah has not destroyed Hezbollah, but has instead introduced chaos into their organization.  She explains that Nasrallah was an immensely important and charasmatic leader, but that she is concerned about issues related to  overestimation vs underestimation of Hezbollah following the recent successes and that the remaining threat is in the underground network she expects to be located all across Southern Lebanon and that the organization will fall back to small cell attack formation in the current period of leaderless chaos.

Demilitarization: Policy pertinent parameters

The proponents of demilitarization in Gaza seem unaware of the fact that Gaza is already supposed to be demilitarized under the 1993 & 1995 Oslo Accords.

Martin Sherman |  Sept 29, 2024

Look back and see what we had successively accepted or thrown away: a?Germany disarmed by solemn treaty; a?Germany rearmed in violation of a?solemn treaty; air superiority or even air parity cast away; the Rhineland forcibly occupied and the Siegfried Line built or building—Winston S. Churchill, The Second World War, on the erosion of demilitarization.

The principal problem is not reaching an agreement on demilitarization but the honoring of such an agreement in practice. The number of agreements that the Arabs have violated is no less than the number to which they have adhered. Shimon Peres Tomorrow is Now, 1978.

UN hypocrisy on Jerusalem: Expelling Jews from their holiest sites – opinion

The UN’s latest anti-Israel resolution calls for expelling Jews from the Old City of Jerusalem, exposing the blatant hypocrisy of its proponents.

By MOSHE PHILLIPS | SEPTEMBER 30, 2024

JEWS RECITE morning prayers at the Western Wall. The most notable part of UN General Assembly Resolution 12626 was its demand that all Jews be expelled from the Old City section of Jerusalem within one year, the writer asserts.  (photo credit: Florion Goga/Reuters)

Death, taxes, and anti-Israel resolutions at the UN are pretty much the only three constants in this world. Nonetheless, some lessons can be learned from the latest screed issued by the nations gathered in Manhattan’s Turtle Bay.

The most notable part of UN General Assembly Resolution 12626 was its demand that all Jews be expelled from the Old City section of Jerusalem within one year.

How & when should you vote?

Peloni:  Peg has collected and presented a great deal of information in this article, in which she makes a strong case for Trump supporters to take advantage of early voting.

Tierney’s Real News | Sep 28, 2024

The Trump campaign wants us ALL to vote. They want us to show up and vote for Trump and MAGA in such large numbers that the swamp simply can NOT create enough phony ballots or shut down machines or voting locations at the last minute to cheat-to-win. TOO BIG TO RIG.

People are asking me WHEN they should vote? Early, in person or by mail or on election day? There are lots of competing opinions out there from “pundits.” I did some research for you to answer that question. Here’s what I know and what I recommend with receipts!

From Israel: Oh, Stand Proud, Israel!!!

Peloni:  This was an excellent summary of recent events

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!

Arlene Kushner | September 29, 2024

Since the horrendous massacre that was perpetrated by Hamas close to a year ago, the IDF has been taking down this Iran-sponsored terror group in Gaza, battle by battle. Almost all of the battalions have been degraded; a large percentage of Hamas weapons have been destroyed; 30-40% of Hamas tunnels have been rendered inoperable with 80% of the tunnels in Rafah destroyed; Israel has taken control of the Philadelphi Corridor, thus preventing smuggling of weaponry from the Sinai.

”The Curse”, the diversion, and the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah

Many of the false assumptions and perceptions by terror leaders such as Nasrallah and Sinwar were based on believing Israel’s mainstream media reports – those who for the past two years have reported day after day that Israel is a fragmented society on the verge of civil war, and unable to resolve internal divisions.

Live  Photo: News 12

The justified assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, head of the terror organization Hezbollah will have a dramatic effect on the Middle Eastern region and beyond. The terror organization fully funded and supported by the Iranian regime, has been Iran’s largest proxy organization established to threaten Israel on her northern border and deter Israel from taking military action against Iran that can disrupt her nuclear ambitions.

Hezbollah had a standing armed force of as many as 50,000 fighters, and an arsenal upwards of 150,000 rockets that included short and medium range rockets, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones.

IDF: Hamas has been largely defeated militarily in the entire Gaza Strip, and is now a guerrilla terror group

By

“IDF assesses Hamas defeated militarily in all of Gaza, is now a guerrilla terror group,” by Emanuel Fabian, Times of Israel, September 27, 2024:

The Israel Defense Forces assessed on Friday that Hamas has been largely defeated militarily in the entire Gaza Strip, and it is now effectively a guerrilla terror group that will take some more time to dismantle.

Rabbi Herzog: What Happens After Nasrallah’s Assassination

Rabbi Herzog tweeted the following:

The possibility of a full-scale war is weak.

The assassination of Hezbollah leader Nasrallah will not be the last assassination. Four other major figures are soon to be targeted.

In Six Weeks, Israel Has Eliminated As Many Wanted Terrorists as the US Has Done in the Last 20 Years

Peloni:  Why indeed?  Over the course of forty years, the US went from fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon to funding a Hezbollah run govt which held Lebanon in its grip.  The shame and complicity of having made such a transition is a true impeachment of American foreign policy over this same period, and should be considered in light of growing support of Iran with the sole exception of Trump’s administration which continued funding of Hezbollah controlled Lebanon as he openly challenged their masters in Tehran.

Why didn’t we do this?

Daniel Greenfield | Sept 29, 2024

In previous posts I had highlighted some of the family members of American victims of Hezbollah terror back in the 1980s asking why the United States could not have done what Israel just did. Obviously we could have.

And administration after administration chose not to.

Mudar Tweets: “The King of Jordan is an enemy of the Palestinian people.”

Peloni:  Ritter is absolutely correct in every aspect of his description of the mendacious Hashemites.  Indeed, this hostile, corrupted, colonial line of oppressors will soon be swept from power and the world will be all the better for his going almost as much as it will be for Mudar’s rise to power in replacing them.

The Gaza Terror Offensive 22 – 28 September 2024

T. Belman. This article has a very clear summary of what has taken place. But beginning with WHAT NEXT?, it gets very interesting and informative.

By   September 29, 2024

WHAT NEXT?

For now, Israel seems to be focused on an aerial bombing campaign to degrade Hezbollah. It is going for Hezbollah’s leadership hierarchy and arsenal of strategic artillery. The hope appears to be that Hezbollah, given the surge in its casualties in general (a few thousand within less than two weeks) and among its leadership in particular, as well as the destruction of much (though by no means all) of its strategic artillery arsenal, will be compelled to back down and agree to a ceasefire to save what can be saved.

If this does not succeed, the Israelis are indicating that they are prepared to conduct a ground offensive into Lebanon. They have reinforced their ground forces in the north and have been conducting numerous training exercises specifically for the Lebanese theater (and reporting them repeatedly in the media for psychological effect).

Hezbollah Knockout. Israel Just Changed the Middle East & the World

Peloni:  An excellent analysis of the recent fallout following the obliteration of Nasrallah and his entire command structure as well as much of Hezbollah’s warriors and missiles.  As Netanyahu has begun the destruction of Hezbollah, he has changed the entire Middle East, becoming the emancipator of the Sunni nations held captive under the control of Iran, and as a consequence Bibi has emerged as the acting leader of the Free World.  With his strengthened coalition Bibi must continue pushing forward in eliminating Iran and its limbs of terror throughout the region.

Exploit This Opening

Seth Frantzman tweeted the following:

Some discussion about the elimination of Nasrallah has referenced the removal of Soleimani back in 2020. Now, here is my question. There’s no doubt the killing of Soleimani was a blow, however, Iran’s IRGC-backed axis recovered and coordinated between Hamas, Hezbollah, PIJ and the Houthis.

In fact, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas and PIJ became more powerful since 2020, so even fit eh IRGC was without a charismatic leader, the Iranian “axis” continued to grow.

INTO THE FRAY: Kamala’s unsavory supporters

By MARTIN SHERMAN

Some of Kamala Harris’s supporters constitute yet another ominous omen in the perturbing accumulation that the prospect of her victory portends.

Recently, a distressed Twitter/X message from a well-known Israeli-Australian human rights jurist caught my eye. It dealt with an institute, which I must confess, I had never heard of previously—but perhaps that is merely a testament to my ignorance.

Shameful & Shameless

The institute, the Lemkin Institute, professes to be dedicated to the study of the grisly topic of “genocide” and what so appalled the eminent lawyer was the bizarre manner in which the Institute—that bears the name of the man, who originally conceived the term “genocide”—had chosen to twist and distort its alleged focus of inquiry. With evident dismay, he tweeted: Quite incredible that @LemkinInstitute, named after Raphael Lemkin, who coined the term ‘genocide’, would now be shilling for jihadists of Hezbollah (and Hamas), who would seek to carry out another genocide against the Jewish people! Shame on you!
