Peloni: The only purpose for Iran in these negotiations is to ignore any binding effort to block their nuclear ambitions, and to try to get Washington to accept an interim agreement, permanently, such that they will keep their nuclear capabilities and only pause their nuclear enrichment while maintaining US restraint on Israel indefinitely. The only question is whether Trump will move towards such a posture of mimicking the policy failures which he ridiculed before coming to office. The answer to this question will determine the fate of the Iranians, the Israelis and the Americans, all at the same time.

The White House presented the new deal as a ‘‘detailed and acceptable proposal,” but it does not suffice for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Of course this should not be a surprise to anyone. The Islamic Republic will not agree to any deal that has any possibility whatsoever of restraining the Islamic regime.
“A key sticking point is Washington’s demand for Iran to completely stop uranium enrichment.”An Iranian diplomat slammed the deal as a “non-starter,” as it “fails to address Tehran’s interests.” But what are those interests? To acquire a nuclear bomb, of course, and ultimately to wipe Israel off the map.
Iran cannot be trusted to be truthful in negotiations or to commit genuinely to any agreement. Iranian regime actors are routine liars, who follow the Islamic Shi’ite tenet of taqiyya as a means to advance the Sharia. Perhaps Trump is providing an opportunity for the world to see the truth about Iran.
“Iran preparing to reject US nuclear deal proposal, diplomat says – report,” by Parisa Hafezi, Reuters, June 2, 2025:
Iran is poised to reject a US proposal to end a decades-long nuclear dispute, an Iranian diplomat said on Monday, slamming it as a “non-starter” that fails to address Tehran’s interests and leaves Washington’s stance on uranium enrichment unchanged.
“Iran is drafting a negative response to the US proposal, which could be interpreted as a rejection of the US offer,” the senior diplomat, who is close to Iran’s negotiating team, told Reuters.
The US proposal for a new nuclear deal was presented to Iran on Saturday by Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, who was on a short visit to Tehran and has been mediating nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington.
But after five rounds of talks between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff to resolve the nuclear standoff, many issues remain unresolved….
Suggest we shower Iran’s cities with fine mist particles of depleted uranium and plutonium, to enhance their understanding of nuclear non-proliferation.
We all have that dolt Obama to thank for this.
