Fresh from the euphoria of the hostage return in Israel, Dozens of world leaders join US President Donald Trump in a conference on Gaza hosted by Egypt in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Peloni: Terrorists incarcerated in Israel simply provide future terrorists with a goal for which to kidnap and ransom Jews for the release of terrorists. The policy first begun under the Shalit deal is a troublesome and dangerous policy which only increases the motivation towards kidnapping more Jews in the future with every terrorist caught by Israel. Yet, the solution is not to release these butchers to the world as inexplicably advocated by Lauder, but to execute them for the crimes which they have committed. Importantly, among the goals of the Jordan Option promoted by our friend Ted Belman, OBM, and Mudar Zahran, is that under Zahran’s rule, the terrorists caught in Israel would be tried in Jordan to meet Jordanian justice under an anti-Jihad Jordanian regime, thus eliminating this motivation towards kidnapping Jews in the future.

(NEW YORK) A leading pro-Israel organization has condemned the idea of the release of an arch terrorist by Israel. It has been reported that Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, recently lobbied for the release of convicted terrorist Marwan Barghouti (Source: https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-jewish-community-leader-lobbied-for-prominent-palestinian-prisoner-barghoutis-release/). On May 20, 2004, Barghouti was convicted of the murders of five innocent people.
Peloni: It is very disappointing to see Pres. Trump alongside so many enemies of Israel while Israel alone was prohibited from joining this conference due the objections of Turkey and its anti-Israel acolytes.

Hamas has also taken control of Gaza’s Interior Ministry, fully restoring its rule over the Strip. And their first order of business is to slaughter those with whom they disagree.
Peloni: Khaled provides some important reflections on today’s chaotic announcements and reversals. Most importantly, however, is the fact that Hamas is back in power in Gaza, for now at least, and is being reinvigorated with the return of UN assisted aid deliveries, as it has recently taken to slaughtering and publicly executing those who it claims were allied with Israel, of which only some were actually cooperating with Israel before her required withdrawal.

The twenty Israeli hostages will by now have been released by Hamas (but not the bodies of the 28 hostages Hamas murdered) , and the 1750 Palestinian prisoners, including 195 who were serving life sentences for multiple murders, have simultaneously been freed by Israel. Now comes Phase 2 of the Trump Plan, which looks almost impossible to fulfill, given Hamas’ intransigence. This phase of the plan requires Hamas to disarm completely, otherwise Israel will not proceed with further troop withdrawals. The peace plan for Gaza proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which is currently being partially implemented ahead of the expected hostage release late Sunday or early Monday, is raising concerns in Israel over the prominent role given to Qatar in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip at the end of the war.
Hopes that Hamas will voluntarily disarm, that international forces will deploy in the Strip, and that a process of building a Palestinian government in which Hamas does not participate will begin, are false hopes.

Eli Cohen, a Mizrahi Jew born in Egypt, was incredibly courageous and provided Israel with priceless intelligence.
Peloni: When Hamas was left in power while simultaneously being reinvigorated with the return of unfettered control of aid in the areas it controlled, the script was flipped on the Gazan clans who had previously stood against Hamas in the areas which had been previously seized and then abandoned by the IDF.

I have read the Confidential Summary of the proposed Gaza Transitional Authority (GITA) Institutional Structure.
This is the body to be led by Tony Blair and is a gift to a Palestinian leadership that has proven its Ramallah-based authoritarian corrupt violent anti-Israel record since 2007, unless, of coure, Hamas does a Hezbollah by gradually exerting its administrative power in Gaza.
