IDF Launches Operation in Balata Camp, A Key Militant Stronghold in the West Bank

FaJaJ INTELLIGENCE  September 16, 2024

 1. Summary: On September 15, 2024, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) entered the Balata Refugee Camp near Nablus, a hotspot for militant activity. Around 1,000 militants, mainly armed with assault rifles and skilled in using improvised explosive devices (IEDs), were reported to be active there. The move into Balata marked an escalation in Israeli operations following Hamas’s attacks on southern Israel in October 2023, which killed over Israeli 1,200 civilians. Previously, the IDF had focused on other conflict zones like the Jenin and Tulkarm camps. During the Balata clash, Palestinian militants fired on IDF forces and detonated an IED, damaging a bulldozer. The confrontation lasted into the night with no reported casualties. On September 16, the Al-Quds Brigades, affiliated with Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for the battle, though their claims of Israeli casualties were dismissed by Palestinian sources. The Balata camp is also a site of external influence, with Jordanian intelligence reportedly using militants there for political leverage against Israel. Several influential figures in Nablus have ties to the Jordanian government.

Ze’ev Elkin will be the minister responsible for the Tkuma Administration in the north and south, and will receive an additional portfolio from Shas – possibly the Ministry of Health. MK Sharren Haskel is due to get the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Michal Buskila will head a Knesset committee.

How to Beat ‘Unhuman’ Communists At Their Own Game

By Janet Levy | Am Thinker | Sept 16, 2024

Communism thrives on resentment, vengeance, and terror.  Its chief weapon is disorder, the dismantling of existing structures, the undoing of bonds holding together families, nations, civilizations.  Conservative pundits have been warning of this for decades. Why, then, have the U.S. – and the West as a result – moved to the Left?

According to Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec, authors of Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions (And How to Crush Them), conservatives lose because they do not understand the Left.  The authors say their book is a “software upgrade” for saving America and Western civilization.  They say they are unapologetic about the epithet ‘unhumans’ because communists destroy “the human rights of life, liberty, and property – and undo their own humanity in the process by fully embracing nihilism, cynicism, and envy.”

  • “In its boldest move, Hezbollah sent four drones toward the Karish platform several weeks ago, all of which were intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces,” reported The Times of Israel on July 31, 2022.
  • This was exactly what surrendering part of the gas field to Hezbollah was supposed to prevent.

The attack on Israel on September 15 by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen is another example of how Israel faces new and numerous threats during this long war that Hamas launched on October 7.

Following the Houthi attack, Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets on northern Israel.

DEEP STATE INC. – A TALE OF TWO SCANDALS

Peloni:  Gadi Taub discusses two important scandals which came to light last week.  The first of these was the leaked Hamas strategy document, the existence of which appears to have been concealed from PM Netanyahu.  The second scandal discussed is related to leaked recordings of the former AG Avichai Mandelblit, exposing the gross politization and corruption embedded in Israeli law enforcement.

Why Muslims “Become Radicalized” is No Mystery;

The simple Reason is Jihad

Dr. Norman Berdichevsky

Our media and government have essentially promoted an ignorance of what motivates Muslims to undertake violent acts preferring to focus on their individual problems of being marginalized in Western societies and subject to discrimination, estrangement due to their inability to integrate or be successful. Abroad, the picture is unequivocal with scenes of beheadings and (censored for tv), whippings, death by stoning and the 8th century formula of convert or die actually enacted before our eyes in. This is Jihad in action – witness  Hamas, Hizbollah, Islamic State (ISIS), Islamic Jihad, Boko Haram, al-Shabab, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and the Muslim Brotherhood – by whatever designation it is Jihad in action –whatever the arcane rivalries between Shia and Sunni – you shall know the tree by its fruit. Jihad has always been a call to arms, invoked, by sultans, caliphs, and local inspired demagogues at every level of the Muslim religious hierarchy.

In the International Arena there is no Rule of Law, only the Rule of Power

Peloni:  Ted’s important analysis below regarding the Rule of Power has stirred some important commentary among the comments at the bottom.  Please take the time to read them.  The commentary section here at Israpundit has always been an important area of learning and revelation and we can boast of many important perspectives shared among the bloggers which are both well considered and well argued.  This is certainly evident in the comments discussed below this article.

Israel’s title deeds to the land west of the Jordan R. are of no value unless she has the power to protect them

The US State Department and the UK Foreign Office ignored those rights in the thirties and forties and instead promoted the Arab cause and continued to do so after Israel’s Declaration of Independence.

By Ted Belman    June 24. 2024

I recently critiqued an interview of Prof Jeffrey Sachs by Judge Napolitano on US policy  with respect to Gaza.

The Judge started out by referring to ”the slaughter that was going on in Gaza”. How can he be so ignorant? It has been proven repeatedly that there is no slaughter or genocide in Gaza. In fact, Israel has the lowest kill ratio of any war previously by a factor of at least five.

Surprisingly he spoke respectfully about Ben Gvir and Smotrich. Read more…

Why Can’t the Dwarfs Defeat Gulliver?

See Translation below Tweet

Translation:

Yossi Baum | Sept 12, 2024

The illusions of the left and their detachment from reality are heart-wrenching. The inferiority of the ‘heads of the democratic liberal camp’ compared to Netanyahu is due to their failure to present an alternative security-political strategy to Netanyahu? Is this the difference between the lion and the mice?

Let me clarify:

J Street is Both Wrong and Out of the Mainstream

By: Moshe Phillips |  Sept 10, 2024

There’s no question J Street is far outside the mainstream of the Jewish community. But does that mean its views are mistaken?

On the eve of his recent visit to Cleveland, J Street president Jeremy Ben-Ami told reporters there that it’s a “common misconception” that his group is “outside of the mainstream.”

It’s All A Ruse

by Paul E Vallely, MG, US Army (Ret) & Ray DiLorenzo | Sept 7, 2024

“Deception is one of the quickest ways to gain little things and lose big things.” Thomas Sowell

The Democratic Party is conducting another ruse on America. In modern politics, this trend began with Obama, although some would argue that it began with Clinton. They tried hard with Hillary. They succeeded with Biden with the help of a late-night pause in counting to make ‘adjustments’. Now, they have united to promote Kamala Harris as the savior of democracy, presenting obscure policy statements that they hope you will perceive as beneficial. Never mind that she had a firm hand in our economic and border-collapse.

It is total deception, another trick on the good people of this country. They are again trying to fill the executive mansion with operatives instead of public servants.  They talk and usually scream, “Democracy, democracy,” but that is a distraction, a way to distract your attention from what is happening. What is going on is a concerted, coordinated effort to destroy this country as it was founded.

Pro-Hamas Islamists Win the Most Seats in Jordanian Elections

T. Belman: Ignore this story. It is an attempt by the king to prevent his ouster by the Jordanian Army supported by the US, the UK and Israel. It will very short lived.

Ahmad Sharawi | September 13, 2024

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Action Front (IAF) secured 31 of 138 seats in Jordanian parliamentary elections on September 10, the most of any party. The IAF achieved its best result in 35 years by emphasizing its support for Hamas and capitalizing on economic distress in Jordan, where the official unemployment rate stands at 21.4 percent.

The elections were the first since the passage of the 2022 electoral law, which reserved 41 seats for political parties in a bid to strengthen the party system and enhance participation. The IAF won 18 of the reserved seats, while no other party won more than four. Overall, the pro-establishment National Charter party secured second place with 21 seats, while the similarly aligned al-Eradah claimed 19. Voters also elected 39 independents. Turnout stood at 32.5 percent, an improvement from 29 percent in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, though still lower than the 36 percent turnout in 2016.
