Last year, Jacob Siegel at Tablet magazine published a long investigative piece on the censorship-industrial complex, “A Guide to Understanding the Hoax of the Century,” which is well worth reading. More recently, he published a superb follow-up essay, “Learn This Term: ‘Whole of Society,’” which is crucial for understanding our current political and cultural moment, and for grasping the real dynamics of power at work today. I want to provide here just a few highlights from the piece, which opens:

By killing Hezbollah’s Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran within a 24-hour span, Israel demonstrated a commitment to total victory over its enemies. But the rest of the world, from the least free nations (China) to the freest nations (the U.S.), seems committed to saving Hamas. Jerusalem must resist these efforts.

Peloni:  There is no basis in reason or rationale which would support the application of antisemitic laws in the Jewish State, and make no mistake, all that Ben Gvir is advocating is that this antisemitic prohibition specifically for Jews be finally and completely rescinded.  The status quo is and has been a policy which demeaned Jews in their own homeland, in their ancient capital, and by their own govt.  Such villainy is unseemly as it remains unjust and unjustifiable.  End the Status Quo, and allow the Jews to go where they like and pray as they like, and let the Americans pound sand.

Jews can pray where they choose in London, New York, Buenos Aires, or Sydney — but not in Jerusalem. The world is in an uproar after Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir visited the Temple Mount to mark the solemn Jewish fast day of Tisha B’Av. Critics say that Ben Gvir disrupted the carefully-crafted status quo in Jerusalem — and even broke with the policy of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ben Gvir says that he has the authority to assert his own guidelines.

For months, election-watchers have wondered: will Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. make it onto enough states’ ballots to have an impact?  Will he have the money to run a real campaign?  And most importantly, who will he hurt more: Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?

One thing most didn’t expect was what happened on Monday, August 12: he was bounced from the ballot in the state he grew up in, on a technicality.

Now, election law has always been full of technicalities, and some of us would argue that there’s nothing wrong with that.  Government is about compliance with the law, and if you’re too sloppy to comply on your very first responsibility — the paperwork that creates your candidacy — then arguably, you shouldn’t be in charge of writing, implementing, or enforcing the law.

We have been continuously amazed by the nonsense from the mouths of Joe Biden, his VP Kamala Harris, and several weird cabinet officials. By the connivance of an inside ‘coup’ against Joe, the Democrat party has moved the election goalposts to retain power. They saw Joe’s re-election campaign DOA by November’s election. Instead of even pretending to move to the center, Democrats are moving full Left Wing radical, determined not to let Donald Trump stop their agenda to ‘fundamentally change America.’ Democrat politicians, including Uniparty-associated Republicans, have no loyalty to each other, significantly if one should deviate from the agenda. Joe did, so we can color him gone. He ‘blinked‘ once too often and couldn’t perform the tasks his masters expected of him to their satisfaction, so he had to go even if it was kicking and screaming.

Also, the team liaisons with the communist democratic party to provide “The Talking Points of the Day” to the media and Wall Street supporters.

“The Council” and everything that stems from it has been in control of the United States for the past fifty years, with the sole purpose of siphoning our nation’s wealth. Our constitutional government and the federal workforce are designed to safeguard our wealth and the ‘public good’ of the American people. However, the Council’s mission is to crush and obliterate it.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is isolated in Gaza but is still communicating with Hamas fighters and with the Hamas leadership in other parts of the Middle East. After multiple reports that Iran and Hezbollah will strike Israel in a matter of hours or days, the White House, the Kremlin and other regional actors are working overtime to convince Tehran and its proxies to stand down.

But for Israel, this may be the moment to deliver a decisive blow to its adversaries that will restore security and prosperity to the citizens of Israel’s north. The United States must make clear that it will support any Israeli counteroffensive.

Peloni:  It is outrageous that the policy restricting Jews from praying at the Temple Mount was ever instituted, but even more reprehensible is that this policy has not been repealed in the subsequent 57 years, and that the totalitarians in Washington believe that their imperial edicts should be binding in Israel on the Jewish people.  Ben Gvir was right to give his support in changing the antisemitic status quo over which the otherwise diversity-obsessed Dems obsess so strongly.  Whereas Ben Gvir does not speak for the current govt in Israel, I suspect that he is expressing the position of a future govt in Israel.  Let us hope that this is so.
