Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with a bipartisan delegation of members of Congress on behalf of AIPAC, at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu greeted the members of the delegation for their arrival, and thanked them for their support and the broad support of the American public for the State of Israel. Also, the Prime Minister reviewed before them the progress of the fighting in the Gaza Strip and answered their questions.
Peloni: Mike and Gadi discuss, among other things, the fallout of the US abandoning Israel at the UN, in which they both agree that Israel is facing a dire threat to its survival. Mike believes that Bibi is likely to lose his govt as a result while Gadi believes that Israel should lose no time in moving into Rafah. Another point raised in this conversation is that Mike refernces a discussion with anti-Biden forces in the US in which he senses the propaganda campaign being waged by the US against Israel is gaining traction even among those who oppose the current administration.
Israel must develop a strong and robust public relations outreach, something which they have been failing to pursue for decades to their great misfortune. This must change.

The party’s new leadership has taken an aggressive stance on litigation. Money woes and legal realities cloud the effort’s chance of success.

The Israel Defense Forces conducted an operation at al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip to root out Hamas terrorists recently, once again taking unique precautions as it entered the facility to protect the innocent; Israeli media reported that doctors accompanied the forces to help Palestinian patients if needed. They were also reported to be carrying food, water and medical supplies for the civilians inside.
Peloni: Israel has every need to regain its complete independence from the US to demonstrate its sovereign duty to defend its citizens without needing to secure American permission to do so. Hence, Israel must own up to the fact that she is a wealthy nation, capable of carrying the heavy burden of its military needs on the back of its own economy and thereby sever the strings of servitude which are tied to the ‘aid’ which Israel receives from the US. By doing so, Israel will be able to build her military to meet the needs of her own threat assessment rather than choosing from the list of American products which are prescribed for her by foreigners serving foreign interests rather than those of Israel, herself.

The order for the additional F-35 squadron should be cancelled. The planes are not suitable for the threat scene. They deepen dependence on a foreign power, are a burden on the economy and divert funds from much more essential systems and needs.
The louder the cry, the more clearly you hit. The story of the F-35 is a complex story. Defense Minister at the time Bogi Ya’alon opposed the purchase of the weapon and wanted to purchase instead advanced F-15 and F-16 aircraft that were more suited to Israel’s needs.

In addition the fake news in the United States is extremely biased against Israel. The veteran journalist published “Gaza Division Conquered,” in March, the first book published in Hebrew about the October 7 massacre.

The problem with experiencing oneself as a victim is that you are unable to limit or control the amount of rage you feel towards your victimizer. The pauper’s diplomacy of the Biden administration was on display today as it facilitated the passing of a UN Security Council resolution heavily weighted against Israel.
Every minor concession to moral decency was rejected in favor of “an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan.” Beggars can’t be choosers, explained Biden’s ambassador to the UN after abstaining from the vote, thus allowing the resolution to pass: “We did not agree with everything in the resolution. For that reason we were unfortunately not able to vote yes. However, as I’ve said before, we fully support some of the critical objectives in this non-binding resolution.”
Let’s be crystal clear about why this was a bad resolution.

You don’t put out a bit of the fire and then leave it burning. “Extinguish the whole thing or there’s no point and in the case of Gaza, extinguishing the whole thing is destroying Hamas completely, making sure they are never again operationally capable.”
