Peloni:  Surrendering to the Jew Hating mob by mislabeled “Jewish leaders” is one of the most shameful acts of betrayal to any Jewish community.  This act by Michigan AG Dana Nessel is, however, particularly disturbing as she suggests that the interests, identity and safety of her fellow Jews is less relevant than the universalist message which she is endorsing.  In doing so, Nessel is knowingly endorsing the message of Jew Hatred, making Jews everywhere less safe, while playing the role of the Court Jew which has previously been so well demonstrated by Senator Chuck Schumer, the Palestinian.  Rather than supporting Nessel in this moment of subjugation and capitulation, her Jewish neighbors should focus on hardening thei security, education and joy of embracing their own identity as Jews .  Remember that there is nothing more useful in facing down Jew Hatred than reasserting the spirit of Jewish identity which Nessel has instead come to advocate abandoning completely. As her Jewish community lies in a state of siege by the combined campaigns of Islamist and Leftist Jew Hatred, Nessel’s moral cowardice and abject leadership failures should render any influence she might once have had to become entirely moot.

Dana, you should go home to reflect upon the damage stemming from your troubling statements and stay there until such time as you can find the courage that will see your words in the future doing less harm than good, and that may well be forever.

In 1947 and 1948, in advance of Israel declaring its independence, Israel found itself at a disadvantage militarily and demographically to its Arab neighbors. With only about 600,000 Jews residing in Mandatory Palestine, living under British rule since the early 1920s, the Jews were threatened by Arabs who had lived in Palestine for generations. Many more Arabs had entered Palestine from No.Africa or Arabia to gain employment generated by Jewish development in the first half of the 20th century. There were also small minorities of Druze, Circassians, and Samaritans scattered within Palestine. Peloni:  It seems as if Vance, while recognizing that he has a problem with the Jewish vote, rather than actually dealing with this matter as if it needs or warrants handling, is instead going to minimize and ignore this glaring political hangnail.  Notably, this was the effect, if not the reason, he tried to keep his remarks at the RJC off the record, and in doing so, Vance purposefully missed an important opportunity to reach out to the Jewish and Zionist voters who have expressed serious doubts about Vance’s electoral candidacy.  The fact that he is treating the breach between Jewish/Zionist voters as if it does not exist, does indicate a bit of clarity that either he is politically tone deaf, or that he has little doubt that the tension he has created with these voters will affect his election chances.

What is more telling is that Vance failed to address any of the many previous faux pas which he has made in addressing Israel, Jews and Zionism over the past many months, while digging the hole a little bit deeper by suggesting the real problem with antisemitism lies in immigration.Notably, as I have stated before, Trump’s MAGA movement is the most philosemitic movement in US history.  Vance’s attempt to take the reins of that movement while ignoring the fact that he stand on the contrasting side of that ideological divide should not be ignored, but he has in fact done exactly that in this conversation, something which was only highlighted by Vance requesting the conversation not be recorded at an event in which the recordings are the greater point of the RNJ Summit being held.
