Don’t look now but your First Amendment rights are up for negotiation at the United Nations, just as they are at the World Economic Forum and other globalist organizations that are aligned with the burgeoning one-world system.

On June 18, in recognition of International Day for Countering Hate Speech – yes, they actually have a day for that – the United Nations Secretary-General called for the eradication of “hate speech” around the world.

While that may sound nice in today’s world, where it tickles the ears of the naive Western liberals, keep in mind that “hate speech” is in the eye of the beholder.

This U.N. statement should be seen as a harbinger, a clear signal, that the U.N. and its many globalist allies are getting ready to clamp down even harder on what we the people are allowed to say or write online. The intent of the globalists is to criminalize all speech with which they disagree.

We must admit that we Jews are known for stubbornness. Our own God refers to us as a stiff-necked nation and is repeatedly thwarted by our obdurate refusal to simply do what we are told or what others would have us do. We have endured centuries of oppression and even death for adamantly refusing to accept other people’s gods. And if the prophets are to be believed, we have been repeatedly punished for our obstinacy.

Recognizing a character flaw is the first step to overcoming it. Perhaps we can do better.

Given our well-earned reputation for intransigence, confronted by the displeasure of mobs on campuses and town squares throughout the world, facing boycotts and moral disapprobation in august international bodies, criticized by such moral paragons as Greta Thunberg, Emmanuel Macron, Junior Trudeau, and Recep Tayyep Erdogan, not to mention an abundance of Imams, Ayatollahs, and progressive Congresswomen, why can’t we simply face reality and go along to get along?

JERUSALEM – In roughly one month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will come to Washington to address a joint meeting of Congress.

It’s against this backdrop that we went to Jerusalem to interview Netanyahu Thursday. Israel continues the war in Gaza and Lebanon to dismantle and eliminate Hamas’ military, governmental, and organizational capabilities, kill its leaders, bring back the hostages, and confront Hezbollah to allow the evacuated citizens to return home. At the same time, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei continues his ultimate strategy to achieve an atomic weapon of mass destruction.

Unfortunately, many in Israel, the West, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are falling again and again into the clerical regime’s sophisticated trap. The Israeli leadership, hopefully together with the U.S. (but it will probably happen only after elections in November) should make a substantial switch in their working priorities to prevent Iran from reaching its goal.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) extended operations in the southern Gaza city of Rafah during the third week of June. The IDF has been in Rafah since the evening of May 6, and it appears the campaign will now extend through July. The IDF’s presence continues because of the large number of tunnel shafts and significant terrorist infrastructure Israeli forces have discovered and must dismantle. Israel’s military estimates that it controls between “60 to 70 percent of Rafah” city and its environs.

The IDF’s battle for Rafah is led by the 162^nd Division. The division has several key units that have been conducting the work of finding tunnels and removing munitions and other terrorist infrastructure. These include the Givati Infantry Brigade, the Nahal Infantry Brigade, the 401^st Armored Brigade, and the “Negev” 12^th Reserve Infantry Brigade.
